  2. Alot of coaster enthusiasts tend to feel Cedar Point is overrated because CP has just about the most devout fanbase of any park out there. Because of this, CP's rides tend to be praised alot, even if they suck/are mediocre.
  3. It's not just because he is fat, impulses are kinda hard to get into. You really have to pull yourself up because they lack a the dropping floor that most inverts have.
  4. I like Raptor ... But I have an SLC as the only invert at my homepark, so that might be why
  5. I'm not a waterpark person, but that waterpark looks pretty sweet! The hotel needs a new, larger parking lot though, with the waterpark going in around it, it lacks parking spaces. I am sad to see Oronga go... My main problem with it was the un-realistic twists after the immelmann, which you changed before it was removed. Overall, Oronga wasn't a very realistic coaster, but a good coaster. Also, I find it somewhat interesting that Oronga has been cleared out completly but Tidal Wave remains untouched... It's like when Viper (Which happens to be similar to Oronga) was torn down quickly, and Riptide (Which was similar to Tidal Wave) sat for ages after being closed down. Hopefully in a few years the park will put in a world class coaster to make up Tidal Wave and Oronga leaving.
  6. I haven't rode it, but I am sure it feels like an inversion on ride. It is certainly more of an inversion than Hydra's inclined dive loop. Does anyone have a POV of the ride? And also, did anyone here ride it before it was modified?
  7. Wow, I made it into a wiki. My life. Is. Complete. I actually wrote a good portion of that Wikipedia wants sources for the information now though... But the only real source is coaster nerd forums, and I'm not even sure that they would accept that as a reference.
  8. No, but you could literaly line jump in the zero gravity enviroment! Think of the airtime you could have just moving about! You wouldn't even need rides... Unless those rides were credits. Credits are more important than funky moon walking airtime!
  9. Cedar Point really has other coasters that dserve to be bashed more than Millennium Force does... Mantis, Mean Streak, and Top Thrill Dragster come to mind.
  10. Nothing happened, because he had taken too little. He realized that Cedar Point has stolen his secret stash to attempt to make TTD taller to reclaim the world record! He teamed up with Mr. Six and started a race against time to get from Boston to Sandusky before Cedar Point stole the record back. However on the way he tripped on a...
  11. Yeah, I am trying to defend it, so sue me I'm not saying it is a bad coaster, but I'm not sure if it deserves to be that high either. It probably is better than Nitro though... I thought Nitro was kinda meh. I have heard alot of people say that Millennium Force loses it's appeal after you ride alot of coasters... I have only ridden 30, so maybe that is why I don't think it sucks... Man, I need to learn to defend my opinion better... Everytime I get into an arguement online I always end up caving in eventually
  12. That sucks... I hope Demon Drop stays around for a few more years.
  13. On the Golden Ticket polls yes... But in the enthusiast world it seems like just about noone likes it... Although it did get to place #6 in Mitch Hawker's polls, which it probably doesn't deserve.
  14. There are atlest two in Japan, one at Nagashima Spaland and one at Himeji Central Park I believe. Cedar Point's Demon Drop is still operating, although probably not for long, and SFMM's Freefall is still existant... Although I'm not sure if SFMM has it running consistantly. I'm still kicking myself for not riding Demon Drop while I was at Cedar Point back in May
  15. Millennium Force is actually an underrated coaster. Everyone rants about how overrated and crappy it is that it has become underrated. If you sit in the front row the island hills actually have some airtime... And I rode it on the day after opening (Which was frigid), so once it heats up later in the year, it probably gets going faster. However, it is NOTHING compared to S:ROS SFNE. And it has pretty much no positive G forces. Even S:ROS pulls some nice forces through the second helix.
  16. Geauga Lake Today has one more picture of the fire damage; http://www.geaugalaketoday.com/GL_Deconstruction.htm
  17. That video is crazy. As a headchopper it wasn't all that good, but it actually looks like the camera goes straight through the supports at the bottom of the first drop.
  18. "We cut ourselves cuz' it brings in da cash". However, it was soon found that it wasn't an emo band, in was a bunch of stereotypical gangsta rappers posing as emos, because as they said, it brings in cash. Emoboy (Aka Canobiefan (Aka James)) was so horrified that he...
  19. Because he isn't working on it anymore, he handed it over to someone else before he got to a stage were he was ready to post it anywhere. It is now being continued by the member "Twister II".
  20. OMG! A Professor Like you must know the answer to this completely pointless question! Do what I do mate, make yourself sound clever.... Se that last post, I sounded like a genious didn't i? half those words were made up! but they don't know that.... they don't know a thing.... They know now... You just told them
  21. I would buy Tidal Wave if you are selling! Anyway, even though I saw this coming a mile away, it still sucks. And as I noticed in the disassembly pictures, you actually fixed Oronga's main problem (The dumb twists right after the immelmann) before you removed it, which sucks. Even without those two coasters, the park might be able to pull off a year with record breaking attendance. People love waterparks, and in Hawaii's tropical climate it would be even better, not to mention the lower price. The park is really fixing the mistakes made after Hershey first bough it. Even so, I hope the park has a top-notch thrill coaster up their sleeve to make up for the removal of these two. Or even a family/intermediate thrill coaster. And going back to the climate, have you considered extending the park's season to year round? EDIT: Since you are making a waterpark, you should make a pool area at the bottom of the waterfall. That would be pretty sweet.
