  1. The removal of Tidal Wave really helped the park I think. The center of the park always seemed so cramped with Tidal Wave and Tantalus right next to eachother, it seems alot nicer and more open with the new plaza design, and you even managed to fit a pretty sweet looking coaster in! Hopefully the park will install a real big full circuit coaster soon to give the park another iconic ride. Oronga's spot would be perfect, and that plot of land is big enough that a major ride could go in there without overshadowing the entrance plaza like Oronga did. I still think the park could use some larger, signature flats, like perhaps a Sky Swat or drop tower. Although with Seaworld having a S&S tower, it might not be such a good idea to put in an S&S, and the park already had an Intamin Rotodrop... Of course, Hershey could always just one-up Seaworld by building a bigger, badder ride with more towers than the two that Waterspout has.
  2. Awesome! Surf didn't look very impressive in the concept art, but now that it is built it looks huge. But, for a park the size of HHE, the capacity might be a bit low don't you think? You should have gone with dueling halfpipes... Or an AQUATRAX!
  3. It sorta ticks me off that they aren't changing the name. Cedar Fair is being REALLY cheap about that lately. Atleast Six Flags occasionally changed the names of rides that got moved around because of the ride rotation program... Maybe it will atleast get new paint.
  4. I actually have never been to Holiday World, so I really have no right to say they are overrated. I just couldn't think of anything else to put there that was somewhat funny. So don't quote me on that please. Holiday World (or atleast there three woodies) looks pretty good.
  5. 1: Because they can't... Have you ever been on Mantis? 2: Because they suck... Why else? 3: To decrease the workload for employees. 4: Because they stopped using coathangers to design the elements. 5: Because Magnum slipped through it's brakes in the rain and crashed at low speed. 6: Probably just don't want to spend the cash. Alot of other older woodies can't run two trains either. 7: I dunno... Because they are overrated? 8: Because they got sued for not naming Magnum "Magnumhawk". 9: Just because. I hope that answers everything
  6. Why did I have to make a joke about Six Flags... Now a Six Flags bashing craze is starting
  7. Perhaps they meant largest in Northern California? Anyway, this is a pretty cool idea... But why are they letting people see it along it's journey to the park? It isn't like Six Flags to do friendly things rather than maximise profit
  8. Look at it this way... Would rou rather ride a ride that has somewhat less than comfortable restraints, or not ride at all? That said, I would rather have T-Bars on Maverick (I would love for all looping coasters to have lap bars) but I understand that OTSRs are better for the kind of ride Maverick is, and I understand (or atleast think I understand) the reasons why Intamin uses these restraints.
  9. The Zeppelin-esque theming on the front of the trains looks pretty neat. I can't wait to see the train without the clear plastic covering.
  10. The old Intamin lapbars and seatbelts are very restricting and unforgiving if you are even the slightest bit chubby. I'm not that big and have little to no trouble getting on almost all rides, but I could only just barely fit on Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.
  11. If it is no longer dark, what is it? The dim knight? Maybe the light knight? Or how about "Batman: The Knight Light"... Has a nice ring to it Anyway, this kinda sucks. Catapult is one of the best flats there in my opinion, and Rodeo is a fun little ride, as is Double Trouble. None of those rides get big lines though, and two of them are pretty much mechanical nightmares. The kiddie bumper cars I couldn't care less about, and although I have never rode Kontiki, I'm happy that atleast one of the rides they are taking out has a future. And I'm also happy they aren't taking out Route 66, the park doesn't need to lose any family rides.
  12. Vekoma came and retrieved for testing of a brand new...
  13. They do have a Golden Horse (Company that ripped off the train design of Maurer Sohne's spinning coasters) built spinning coaster. And he wasn't asking if this coaster is actually a B&M look-a-like by a Chinese manufacturer, he was talking about the possibility for a Chinese company to rip off B&M's track design in the future.
  14. Chuck Norris, who roundhouse kicked the ACEr to the moon, where a Vekoma custom kiddie coaster credit existed! The ACEr quickly boarded the ride to find the answer to the age-old question "what would rides be like on the moon?" But soon...
  15. I'm excited for this. I guess it will be going in Tidal Wave's previous footprint. That area seems a little small for the size this ride is undoubtably going to be, but with the discussion going on it seems like the most logical place to put it. Now we just need to figure out exactly what "it" is...
  16. How do we know it isn't a clone yet? We have barely seen any of it. Those colors are sweet though, and it is a very stunning and good looking coaster. The people on TPR's China trip next year are in for a great ride.
  17. What kind of coaster are they talking about? Just a kiddie coaster or something bigger?
  18. But Mean Streak goes 65 miles per hour, that's over half Top Thrill Dragster's speed! The ride op for Mean Streak while I was at CP actually said that one. I also think I heard some kids in line talking about how much the ride sucks and how they should cover it in oil and then burn it
  19. It looks like an ugly, over-braked piece of crap. Why couldn't they just deisgn it for the speed it goes instead of braking it like that? And why not add a little something more on? It barely has a layout!
  20. I actually use to love Mean Streak! ... But that was when I wasn't an enthusiast. TAER IT DOWN!!!1!!
  21. Ah, ok. Mean Streak does need to be torn done. Insanely painfull, airtimless, ouch ouch ouch! The only smooth parts were the lifthill and brake runs!
  22. Villain wouldn't burn particlarly well, it has a steel structure. Try your bonfire idea out on Mean Streak instead
