  1. Cyclone at SFNE has a couple pretty cool headchoppers if you ride in the back row. And while not exactly headchoppers, the standard Vekoma SLC model has COMPLETLY INSANE footchoppers.
  2. They look like weird fried dough to me.
  3. OMG, LEVEL 3.8?!? I got to level OVER NINE TTTTHHHHHOOOUUUUSSSSAAAANNNNNDDDDD!!!
  4. He copied it word for word from Screamscape.
  5. Since when have PTC trains ever ran on Son of Beast? And it looks like Villain and Raging Wolf Bobs are as good as dead now... Unless whoever is buying them is getting new trains for them.
  6. Kong didn't go through Old Indiana, it just went straight to Discovery Kingdom.
  7. You mean rides.....ON THE MOON?!?!?!?! Yep, I do... It would be my wettest dream ever.
  8. Thanks for the help, but this topic is pointless now, since unfortunatly I'm not going.
  9. So... Does anyone know what rides would be like on the moon?
  10. I'm betting Tidal Wave and Oronga are on the way out. Which sucks. Oronga isn't the best ride, and Tidal Wave is old, but only remove one or the other! It is going to be really weird to have those two gone... And that will only leave two coasters. And the last remnant of the original managment will be gone, as will one of the best rides in the park. I hope in the near future the park installs some really great coasters to make up for this.
  11. Did anyone else notice that there was a trim brake before the crest of every hill on the ride?
  12. I might be going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg/Europe on Saturday, and have a few questions. First, what kind of crowds should I expect and how long will the lines get? Second, does the park offer a fastpass system? If so, how does it work and how much does it cost?
  13. Actually, it says "kittens" not "kitten". Two or three flats from Geauga Lake maybe? Cedar Point could probably use some more flats.
  14. Possibly sell it off to someone else with some sort of deal in place to allow them to continue use of the parking lot?
  15. Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags America?
  16. I don't think Great America is the worst park in the chain. It has some crappy coasters yes, and Paramount made some pretty dumb moves, but it looks like a pretty park. I really don't see much good in Great America's future if the 49ers buy the park or if the stadium goes through.
  17. Technically, Geauga Lake is still operational, just coasterless. So it does count. Sorta... No, Geauga Lake is gone. "Wildwater Kingdom" is what is still open. I thoguht Prater Park was more of a coaster expo than an amusement park. Whatever... I said that it sorta counts. And beyond that, Prater Park is made up of rides operated by several showmen, so it doesn't really count.
  18. Technically, Geauga Lake is still operational, just coasterless. So it does count. Sorta...
  19. Someone else mentioned a hydraulic cable system like Intamin rocket coasters. And since El Toro already has a very fast cable lift, I'm thinking that might be a possibility.
  20. Cedar Point and Geauga Lake have both removed 13 coasters aswell. Uh, kiss of death spider? Could you explain that a little better?
  21. Now that I have thought about it more, a multilooping woodie would be pretty dumb. Sure, it would have wooden track, but it would have the spirit of a steel coaster. Steel supports, steel coaster esque layout, steel coaster elements, and if it used prefab track, modern steel coaster level of smoothness aswell.
  22. Mis-matched trains. Patterned after a famous classic woodie. Standing But Not Operating. Probably an easy one... But whatever.
  23. Some of the problems of large woodies like Son of Beast might be fixed with steel support structures. The cars required for the loop on SOB were too heavy for the rest of the track, and caused a collapse of the supports, but with a stronger steel structure could help fix that problem. The roughness could be sorted out with laser cut prefab track and possibly like someone suggested, wheels riding on the outside of the track. Even though Son of Beast was pretty much a failure, I think companies are still willing to expierement with woodies. Look at Gravity Group, with adding 90 degree turns to woodies, or building a woodie over a highway, and Intamin pushing the height and speed barrier and improving smoothness with their precision cut plug and play track. Eventually someone is going to want to push the boundrys. Also, has anyone ever considered different inversions on woodies? With a steel spine and steel tube supports like SOB's loop, in theory anything a steel coaster could do could be done as long as the trains could perform the element. And with prefab track, it could even be done smoothly! Imagine a wooden multilooper!
  24. That might have been me if it was in 2002 because I thought when they showed the preshow movie compilation I thought that was the whole ride. Also one time I was in line for Mind Eraser (SFNE) and some girl with her friends are reading the ride manufacturers name. Girl 1: What is a Vekoma Girl 2: It sounds like an alcoholic beverage. LOL. Vekomas sure can knock you out like getting drunk can
