HOTEL HELLVETICA |RCT3|

Excellent trailer. Although you don't classify it as horror, it seems scarier than Stranahan and Deep Valley ever were. -
2008 Park Trip Plans
asr replied to carolinacaniac's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
As I do every year, I will have a Six Flags season pass and visit SFNE alot... Other than that, I hope to get to either Cedar Point or Hersheypark in May or June, and I might get to go to Orlando for the first time in Febuary. I'd also like to get to more of the New England parks that I haven't gotten to yet, like Lake Compounce and Funtown Splashtown. -

The ride won't get to 85 degrees until about halfway down the drop... The drop has only just started construction. Wait a few days or weeks until the entire drop is finished before deciding. -
Mitch's Coaster Poll
asr replied to ScubaSteve442's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My top five (And also the only five woodies I have been on) goes like this; 1. Blue Streak (CP) 2. Cyclone (SFNE) 3. Yankee Cannonball 4. Thunderbolt (SFNE) 5. Mean Streak I really need to ride some good wooden coasters next year... I stillhaven't been on Boulder Dash or Excalibur and I only live two hours away from both of them. -

MM:E is sorta underwhelming to me. The first half is good with the crazy first drop and overbanked turn, but the second half, while it probably would be fun in real life, isn't very interesting. I was expecting more inversions aswell, and more theming. It's a good ride, but definatly not a truely excellent one. -
Mitch's Coaster Poll
asr replied to ScubaSteve442's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I just sent mine in. I have never done the poll before partly because it seemed reall complicated, but the applet on Coasterfanatics makes it really easy. But, I just realized I forgot to check the "Favorite Steel Coaster" box while selecting what coasters I have been on. Oh well, one guy forgetting something probaly won't throw the poll off too much, right? -
Called "Houstonland" but all the Astroworld fanboys were sad because the park was actually in San Antonio, not Houston. Thus, a new generation of Emos were created, resulting in...

Shipped them all to a new park called "Disney's Emo Adventure" themed to everything Emo. Thus, all the coasters were Arrows or Vekomas, because they cause such pain to the rider! Fortunatly, it was just across the border with Nevada (only the entrance plaza and parking lot, which had no coasters was in California), so when Arnold tried to sue...

Medusa, Pandemonium is NOT a mouse. Gerstlaurer and Maurer Sohne spinners may have small mouse like sections, but other than that and the car system they are completly different.

200 feet? It is like twice as long as the original model... Supposedly the ECC's club magazine, First Drop did a feature on it and had a picture of the layout. Supposedly it has a Norwegian loop, atleast one vertical loop, and several turnarounds, corkscrews, and inline twists, and is a completly new design not adapted from the Monte Makaya/Colossus design. -

Wow... I wasn't impressed with the size of this ride before, but in those pictures, the lift hill looks simply massive... This ride is going to look amazing when finished. -

S&S Arrow 4D, Mack Spinner, and Premier LIM coaster. -
6 Million IS NOT LOW. Almost any other park would KILL for those kind of visitor numbers. And it's not like the DCA situation, there is no other park to pull guests in... Except Ocean Park, but I doubt that is really much of a major tourist attraction.

The story goes that SFMM bought Scream! quicky to keep up with Cedar Point's amount of coasters. Probably not true though because if they did order it right after hearing that Cedar Point was building a new coaster, it probably would have been a 2004 attraction not a 2003 attraction.

Well I have heard... HEARD (Or more accuratly, observed) that the rumors you hear are always 100% correct... So I am all ready to see a flyer and stand-up, or maybe even a new ride concept from B&M in the near future
