Theme Park Review's Spring Party!
What Now replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^Simi Valley is about a 30 minute drive from SFMM. From Simi Valley, you get on at SR118 east to I-405 to I-5. -
You know traffic is bad when you encounter traffic at 1 in the freaking morning (yes, in LA).

I enjoyed Stitch's Great Escape more then I thought I would (mind you I came in with reeeeeeeeally low expectations). It's nowhere near being the best Disney Atteraction, but I've been on worse. It might be a good thing I didn't ever get the chance to ride Alien Encounter. For some bizzare reason, my Brother really liked Stitch's Great Escape.

Intamin Accelerators
What Now replied to HCOSurfer90's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I've been on Xcelerator and Rita. Xcelerator is hands down the better coaster. -
WDW so expensive???
What Now replied to Splash_Mountain's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The four of us went to WDW the package cost US$3,700. That included: - 6 nights at The Wilderness Lodge (A Deluxe Resort). - Disney's Magical Express (Disney actually has transport to and from MCO) - 7 day Park Hoppers with a Meal Plan - Admision to the Water Parks and Pleasure Island That DID NOT include: -Airfare -Rental Car -Other Hotel in Orlando -
1. Burbank is the closest airport to SFMM, however LAX is halfway between Magic Mountain and Knott's. 2. Those two parks are about 90 minutes apart. 3. The Knott's Berry Farm Hotel is the only decent hotel within walking distance of Knott's, however there are plenty of hotels within 5 miles. 4. A Knott's pass are good at any Cedar Fair Park. 5. What kind of things do you like to do?

Schwarzkoph vs. Stengal
What Now replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did you know: Werner Stengel worked with Anton Swarzophf back when Anton was alive and designing coasters. -
My California holiday
What Now replied to coastered's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I don't know of ANY park that sells half day tickets. You might, however, get SFMM or Knott's tickets for half price. Check the parks' respective websites for discounts. -
^^ You don't even need to be a Club member to attend. Usaully both Screamscape and Westcoaster have passes to let you in.

Roller Coaster Riding World Record
What Now replied to Eagle Rider's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'd set a record on Apollo's Chariot if I was of the mind to. It'd be easy to marathon that. -
Are you traveling by yourself? There isn't a good way to get from SFMM to Knott's on public transportation. For one thing, they are in two different counties and LA public transit sucks. Orange County Public Transit: http://www.octa.net LA County Transit: http://www.mta.net

At least this should be better then Rita.

Knott's Winter Coaster Solace is March 11. You might consider doing that if you are in the area during that time.

I hope you also plan to go to DLR at least. It isn't far from Knott's. The closest airport is John Wayne (SNA). It's about 15 minutes from the Anaheim/Buena Park area. I'm sure there are shuttles betweeen that airport and the hotels down there (there are plenty to choose from).
