Which parks have gotten worse over time?
LcHg5265 replied to roland303's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Lake Compounce has come a long way in the last 10+ years. To look at the park in 1996, when Hershey owned it, and compare it to today, you would not be able to tell you were at the same park. With an approximate 5% increase in attendance each year, Lake Compounce will continue to grow into the large amounts of land available. I also agree that the former Riverside experience was ruined by Six Flags. Lake Compounce has improved immensely in the same time frame that any feeling of Riverside was destroyed, and then some. -

1. What do you find most useful about the front page? The Forum Updates 2. What do you find least useful about the front page? The "Welcome to Theme Park Review" box. 3. Is anything on the front page confusing? It just seems cluttered 4. How far do you scroll down the front page looking for updates? With a 1920 x 1200 resolution, what ever is on the page. 5. How often do you look at the front page? All the time, I have it bookmarked instead of the forums. 6. How often do you click on the "whatsnew" link? Never. 7. What would you like to see added to the front page to make your visits to TPR better? Cant think of anything off the top of my head. 8. Anything else you would like to mention? Like any thing else you would like to see us add/change/leave alone/etc? I know you like your color scheme, but it looks cluttered with that combined with some on the fonts. I would like the navigation at the top of the page to be more profound. It is currently "squeezed" and "hidden" there. The "welcome to..." adds to that illusion. Have you considered redoing the TPR logo (in terms of the back round and quality of the image)

I believe the reason might be insurance costs. I know that a local park was planning on running a coaster backwards in October, but the insurance company wanted to hear nothing of it. -

I would suggest splitting June 14th into both Six Flags New England and Lake Compounce. They have some good flat rides at the park as well as....Boulder Dash! -

Any of the coasters at Moreys Piers...?! -
It does not surprise me that you did not enjoy the museum considering your age. When me and my family went through, we really enjoyed it. My parents are the same age as Dolly, so they were able to relate and connect to her, as well as think about their own experiences. I enjoyed seeing what life was like back when my parents were growing up as well as all the hardships Dolly went through and overcame. One day you will appreciate it...

"It has been stated before in a personal comment that you attended Lake Compounce amusement park several times with your family and loved it. Have you taken anything you had seen at this small family park back to the Six Flags corporation? Do you run Six Flag parks in different locations differently based on the local competition from smaller parks which aim at your new "family" market? ^Feel free to reword that one to remove the double use of different. -

I have no problem with in park advertising...but when SF does something like this, in a spanish themed area, it really ruins the atmosphere. -

Here is an image of what the new, "Lake Compounce Emporium" will look like inside. It is also now the exit from the park. Lake Compounce Emporium Sent by the GM of the park to the administrator of the Lake Compounce Fan Forum.
