  1. I am still waiting for the day that you can start buying your christmas stuff along with your day-after close-out fireworks from the 4th of July. Personally, I love Thanksgiving. Nothing like getting up and going with my step-dad down the street to the elementry school field and playing football with a buch of middle-aged men complaining about how they hurt more every year! Always a good time with him and his fellow faculty members. After that, we would go home, and watch whatever game is on while the food is being made. Although it seems like we always have a different combination of family for thanksgiving every year, never the same group two years in a row. I am still looking forward to it though.
  2. Sounds like a great time! Do you know if their Q2Q system is able to be used for their christmas shows? if not, would you recommend getting to them a certain amount of time before they start? Thanks for the Report, makes me even more excited about Melissa and I heading over there in a couple weeks!
  3. Just got an email from Lance yestarday that I won the last trivia contest, now I know how Charlie Bucket felt when he won the last golden ticket!!! Melissa and I are going to go fo a weekend trip on the weekend of the 7th of Dec. Can't wait! Thanks for the cool contest Lance!
  4. I have to admit that having worked at peanuts playground before, it is kind of sad to see it get altered so much, but at the same time it sounds like it could also be a good thing. I almost wish the train replacement happened before I worked there, that little gas powered engine was hotter then h-e-double hockey sticks when it was hott enough outside already.
  5. Well, as the 2007 season is done for me, I have been thinking about what I would like to do park wise next year, and I am curious to see what others are planning on. These are my plans for right now: March: Possible Trip to Las Vegas with my Step-dad and step-brother, I would definatly go to Adventuredome, New York New, York and Nascar Cafe, and would like to try to get out to Buffalo Bill's. April: Busch Gardens Euroburg May: Quick stop at Camden Park in West Virginia on the way to Indiana June: Hard Rock Park (may shoot for July if June is too busy) July: Kings Dominion August: Melissa are going to NYC for our 1 year aniversery, and she suggested we go to Coney Island for Astroland since it is the last season. Gary "I dislike the months of January and Febuary more and more every year" Taylor
  6. Wow, and I have never been there before either. well let's see, I'll go with this one......
  7. Jeepers!!!! Nothing like going to a cheap knock-off Chuck E. Cheese for a credit! One of the best parts about my first visit to Concord Mills in NC, too bad it closed down
  8. It's not Enchanted Forest in Oregon is it?
  9. I have been kind of wondering where the entrance would be myself. Although they theoretically could put the entrance near the ampitheater if they wanted to, all they would have to do is connect the station by the queue, but I would guess that it will be near berzerker.
  10. I am loving the Canes season so far! Just beat Buffalo yestarday 6-2 and now they are on top of the southeast with a 6-1-3 record. And they haven't really played anyone in the Southeast yet, other than the one loss to Washington. I am hoping to get to a game here before too long. LETS GO CANES!!!!!
  11. This is awesome to hear! I will definatly have to try and get up there next year!
  12. I am not too worried about the name, for I like the name Dominator too. Like others here have said, I am glad KD is getting a coaster with a traditional lift and some capacity. I also think that is going to be great to see both Volcano and Dominator in the view driving up to the park. I wonder if they are going to fill it with sand to make it quiet or if they are going to let that puppy roar! Either way, I will deffinatly be heading up there to give it another ride (rode it at Geauga before)
  13. I can't wait until next season! This will definatly be a great addition to the park. I liked at Geauga, and I don't think a change of scenery is going to make me like it any less. As Robb said, Thanks for the pics Clint!
  14. You weren't the only one, I could just see they trying the hand bike to the theme song from the show, they just need the gladiators to throw crap at them. This has been a great TR so far!

  16. Robb, you think that it is at least better than calling it the short bus?
  17. I wouldn't be so sure that this will be a completly terrible thing if the three open trains go on the beast. According to many, the G-Trains made SOB a better ride, and a lot of people complain about how rough the Beast is, so maybe this will do the same thing for the Beast? I personally like it just fine the way it is, but who knows?
  18. Looks more like special pieces of toilet paper to me j/k, just being a bitter Seahawks fan! Great photos, and congradulations on your anniversary! Gary "Me and my wife just hit three months last weekend" Taylor
  19. One of my coworkers at lowes foods tried to tell me that Alpengeist is a stand-up coaster. I was pretty sure she may have been thinking about shockwave, but she was convinced that it was alpengeist.
  20. If Great America gets closed for a football stadium, then I would cheer twice as hard for the Seahawks when they play them. At least when Seattle got a new stadium, they used the space that the Kingdome sat on, so nothing was really lossed other than an obsolete stadium. Why couldn't the 49ers do the same and just demolish the one they are in? From what I understand, the 49ers are the only thing going on there now anyway.
  21. Mine is split between Big Bad Wolf and Anaconda. I think most people are not fans of Anaconda, but I love the underwater tunnel, high loop, and the Corkscrew with hangtime!
  22. Another masterpiece of captiontry brought to you by Chuck. Definatly love your PTR. Looking forward to the rest. -Gary T.
  23. I wouldn't call GP naive. They just may not be as critical of rides as we tend to be. For them, riding Vortex once every great while could be a blast, but to those who ride it many times over could think otherwise. Personally, I think this is a great fit for MIA. They were lacking a signature steel coaster, which I know many would argue that an SLC really isn't worthy of that status, but you also have to figure that Shivering Timbers was really the only signature ride there. I think the same would be true if you put an SLC anywhere that has maybe 1-4 coasters that are not multi-million dollar, high tech rides. Thunderhawk will definatly be a very popular ride at MIA.
  24. What game was that at? that is just too funny! I would think that the guy would realize it is much harder to get over the plexie glass than it is a regualar wall. Can't help but love the perfect placement of the glass holders.
