  1. I don't celebrate Christmas. I celebrate Kwanzaa by making this amazing cake:
  2. These people believe that the Earth is 6,000 years old. As if the Creation Museum wasn't embarrassing enough for the Greater Cincinnati area, now we have to throw in a Christian version of Hard Rock Park. AWESOME!
  3. I haven't noticed Firefox eating up any more memory now that they use the separate process for the plug-ins. It would easily get to ~300M before. Google considers opening a new process for each tab to be a design feature. That way one tab crashing doesn't kill your other tabs.
  4. The Burj Al Arab looks amazing.
  5. -TPR for putting on great trips and being a good source of information. -Intamin for still being willing to experiment and push the envelope. -All the European parks that emphasize overall quality over giant coasters or raw number of coasters. -Disney for still running things very well despite the crap global economy and tourism slow down. -Gravity Group/GCII for keeping the wooden coaster genre alive and kicking.
  6. I heard that 15 years ago Robb Alvey stole a spoon from Denny's. He also didn't leave a tip!
  7. ^I also heard you were driving with an expired driver's license!
  8. I'd rather have good food than another themed Rainforest Cafe/Planet Hollywood type place.
  9. Even though I use Firefox, I agree 100%. It's had serious memory leak problems for the last several versions. Their new strategy of starting a new process for the plug-ins, plugin-container.exe, is interesting, but I'm not sure it has improved performance much.
  10. Yeah, the business license gambit is pathetic. Just calling Robb a "fat bastard" would be more effectual.
  11. Wouldn't it make more sense to put this attraction closer to the Creation Museum and not in a barren wasteland? Anyway, that sounds like rumor thread fodder more than anything.
  12. ^^Same thing for my donation. No further contact after the initial PayPal receipt.
  13. ^Nice video, Morgan. There's so much utter shit on YT. It's nice to see content being shot by people who don't have the DTs.
  14. Are you guys related to Prince Desmond?
  15. Yeah, I remember those rides being good as well. As for the rest of the park, nothing stood out too much. The woodie was decent, but not spectacular. I guess "Vekomaland" lived up to its nickname.
  16. Yeah, I really think Europa deserves 2 open-to-close days. That would be a selling point for a future European TPR trip for me.
  17. I wonder if this has to do with the insane cost of staying in the Hershey Hotel. Last time I looked, they were charging Disney Deluxe prices. Is there a big market for this sort of thing in Hershey, PA?
  18. I wonder what kind of trains they'll end up with on "Double Trouble". Maybe Timberliners if GG can show good results (aka reduced track wear compared to PTCs) with Voyage next year.
  19. Nice to see a TR from you, Cameron. I was also pleasantly surprised at how good the Italian parks are.
  20. I don't expect a chain of parks with limited resources and a short operating season to be at the top of the industry. Even though I'm not a big fan of Cedar Point or the way most CF parks are run these days, Dick outperformed Six Flags in financial metrics. They were paying dividends while Six Flags was teetering on the verge of bankruptcy. Dick's big mistake was trying to sell CF to Apollo at bargain basement pricing. And, unfortunately for Dick, the tolerance for mistakes from the C-suite is very low these days.
  21. Yes, that is disappointing. Turbine was the best coaster there.
  22. I can understand the noise and traffic concerns, but unsafe??? Someone needs to stick these gomers in a home.
  23. I'm only sad about the damaged Fanta machine.
  24. I do all the things around the house that I neglect when I'm busy traveling. Too many weekend trips can result in a messy, dirty home with various outstanding maintenance issues.
  25. Have you considered Legoland? It's a bit out of the way, but very worthwhile.
