  1. ^How long before Kristen has more credits than Jeff Johnson?
  2. This is a reasonable point, but at least EPCOT has space. You could probably fit all of Potterland inside the gift shop in the Japan pavilion and still have room to expand.
  3. They're really calling a boat ride "small world"?
  4. ^Yeah, waiting an hour to get into a gift shop. BEST THEME PARK EVA!!!
  5. ^That would probably be the best option. Those train tickets won't be particularly cheap. You'd probably spend more on train tickets than you do getting into the park.
  6. ^According to the website, there is a shuttle bus that picks up at the Lido Di Classe-Lido Di Savio train station. They don't post the shuttle schedule online, but I guess it runs continuously for most of the day. If you know anyone that speaks Italian, you could have them try to call the park The summer train schedules aren't posted yet. The schedule might be different for the summer. So, you'll have to check for the dates you want when the timetables for summer come out. So, I searched for Sunday, June 5th just to give you an idea of what you day might be like: -Train #2229: Departs Venezia S. Lucia @ 07:57. Arrives Ferrara @ 09:30 -Train #6535: Departs Ferrara @ 10:04. Arrives Lido Di Classe-Lido Di Savio @ 11:25 Venezia Santa Lucia is the train station actually on the island. To get back to Venezia, you could do the following (also on Sunday, June 5th): -Train #11606: Departs Lido Di Classe-Lido Di Savio @ 20:18. Arrives Ravenna @ 20:28. -Train #3018: Departs Ravenna @ 20:33. Arrives Bologna Centrale @ 21:54. (Note the tight connection at Ravenna). -Train #9426: Departs Bologna Centrale @ 22:10. Arrives Venezia S. Lucia @ 23:33. Italian train schedules are available here. Note that if you budget an hour each way on the shuttle, you're only going to get about 5.5 hours in the park (assuming the park closes at 6 PM that day). You might consider coming in by train on Saturday and spending the night at a hotel near the park or Lido Di Classe train station. About that tight connection at Ravenna, I would try to find a train itinerary that gives you more time at each station. 5 minutes isn't enough time to even run between trains at larger stations. Even though I doubt Ravenna is that big, if your train arrives late you'd miss that connection to Bologna.
  7. Like most people, I'm more concerned with what's going on right now, not how good my visit was 5 years ago. I'm not into waiting an hour to get into a wand shop or the "wait 45 minutes to buy a soda" attraction or the "50 minute wait to park your car" ride.
  8. We were also disappointed with Universal when we went there last year. The whole resort reeked of cost cutting and demoralized staff. HHN was incredibly weak. I hope Harry Potter gives them money to clean up their act and that they give "love" to the entire resort, not just pump money into expanding WWoHP. We had gone to Universal Orlando every year for the past five. But we have no plans to go this year in large part due to how horrible it was last year. On busier days, there's NO doubt that WDW handles crowds far more efficiently.
  9. ^You should have gone to DLP with us in 2008. We had ERT on Big Thunder Mountain. There was a queue full of angry Frenchies glaring at us.
  10. If you post on a roller coaster forum, you automatically lose your Y-chromosome.
  11. So, this is a more complicated story than previously reported.
  12. It doesn't compare to the "boutique" hamburger restaurants that are popping up. But it's good for fast food. If nothing else, it's a place where you can feel safe about custom ordering your burger. I just assume that normal fast food places are likely to pour feces in your food if you special order.
  13. Son of Beast injury case settled
  14. Ha! Although I hate the taste of anything with artificial sweeteners, this is hilarious. When will Mexican Coke surpass Pepsi in US sales?
  15. Disneyland's small size becomes a problem on busy weekends, not as much during the week. The park wasn't designed to support the number of guests it gets during peak times. The walkways get incredibly claustrophobic, like you're going to be trampled, and the park does a HORRIBLE job of crowd control.
  16. Leslie looks entertaining and terrifying.
  17. I heard Knoebels is looking for some trains.
  18. This seems like a very cagey move by Blackstone. They're trying to sell during an unprecedented and not likely to continue indefinitely upswing in UO's business.
  19. If Pat Morita were still alive, would he be #1 on the call list?
  20. Japan's economy has been in the crapper for like 20 years. They have by far the highest national debt-to-GDP ratio in the developed world. The cost of repairing all this damage is something that they can ill afford.
  21. ^I'm pretty sure Q-Bots are a newer addition to Mirabiliandia.
  22. This is very easy. If you prefer great thrill rides, go to Mirabiliandia. If you want a pretty, well-themed park, go to Gardaland.
  23. Assuming that Inferno is similar to Kirnu (I haven't been to Spain), Insane is a far, far more intense ride. Kirnu was a one-and-done for me. I rode Insane for the entire ERT session, which was challenging to do but entirely worth it.
