  1. Angelina's debut song is disturbingly horrible.
  2. If a coaster as rough as Voyage was at a Six Flags park, would it still be #1? I liked the ride in its earlier condition. And by earlier, I mean May of 2006. By even August of that year, it was already tearing itself apart.
  3. I would have done better if I had not stuck my hands inside the grab holes at the front of those homemade roller coaster cars. Very bad place for your fingers to be when the train hit the bottom of the drops.
  4. This took me about 10 minutes, but I didn't change much from last year. I just added in the woodies that were new to me for 2010. My top 10: 1) Balder - Liseberg 2) Boulder Dash - Lake Compounce 3) Phoenix - Knoebels 4) El Toro - Six Flags Great Adventure 5) Colossos - Heide Park 6) Ravine Flyer II - Waldameer 7) Avalanche - Timber Falls 8) Cornball Express - Indiana Beach 9) Raven - Holiday World 10) Prowler - Worlds of Fun I'm a little embarrassed to have Prowler in my top 10. Oh well. My bottom 5: 96) Son of Beast - Kings Island 97) GhostRider - Knott's Berry Farm 98) Hell Cat - Clementon Lake 99) Predator - Darien Lake 100) Antelope - Gulliver's World Even though the ERT session was hilarious, I hated Antelope. It's cool that Gulliver's builds everything themselves, but for the woodie they should have hired a real roller coaster company.
  5. I rode Wildcat the season before they changed the trains and then the first season with the new trains. I didn't think the Flyers helped much at all.
  6. To the OP, you should consider going to Disneyland just so you can compare the two for yourself. Though it is true that WDW provides an immersive resort experience that Disneyland cannot match. No single ride that you like more at Disneyland is likely to outweigh that. Also, if you happen to go on busy days, WDW handles crowds far more efficiently.
  7. Kaspersky is the best AV software I've ever used. I've had malware infections that other AV programs couldn't find even though the machine was obviously infected. I could see randomly-named malware processes being spawned with Process Explorer. I hate AV software because it winds up causing more problems for me than malware does. AV software kills performance. I just install a trial version of Kaspersky and run a scan if I think I have a problem. You're right in ruling out McAfee and Norton. Those are both performance-killing toys.
  8. I actually like some fantasy, but not Harry Potter. I'll definitely be seeing The Hobbit movies in the theater. I'm just pointing out that a great deal of people are repulsed by the fantasy genre, probably because they find it hokey. This fairly sizable segment of people are not likely to enjoy the WWoHP. It's kind of like me and country music. A country music performer could be the most talented musician in the world, but I would still hate their music because I cannot stand that genre of music.
  9. Not everyone likes the fantasy genre. It's as simple as that.
  10. Or the line for the Butterbeer stand or the wand shop.
  11. That would be the trick: Keep the Brit as far away from the food as possible. I know I'm just dreaming. If nothing else, having a $300/person restaurant in a theme park would likely be a terrible business decision, because typically only a major city can support places like that.
  12. As much as I like Mythos, they could do a Harry Potter themed restaurant that is just as good, or even a lot better. Maybe Grant Achatz of Alinea would be interested in the project. I hear he's a Harry Potter fanboy. Probably not a realistic idea, but I'd love to have a chef of that caliber running a theme park restaurant.
  13. I like some of the BBC content, especially their documentaries and comedies. Their news shows are solid as well. Still, it's difficult for me to conclude that foreign countries have "better" TV when such a huge percentage of foreign TV, in my experience, is just American shows subtitled or dubbed into the local language.
  14. This guy is delusional. There is nothing exciting about waiting in line. In fact, it really sucks that you have to wait so long just to get a certain drink at the WWoHP.
  15. Tivoli We spent all day there from the ERT session before the park opened to close. We did not go back to the hotel even once. Nor did we leave the park for any reason. Good to see you back in action, Mike. Thanks for posting this belated update.
  16. ^There is not too much plot to follow: They go to the gym. They go out to clubs. They get drunk. Girls come back to the house. Drama happens.
  17. I enjoyed the True Grit remake quite a bit. Then I saw the original for the first time a few days later and was not a fan. I guess that makes me a pinko or something.
  18. Maybe it is worth it considering this is as close as you're going to get to Neapolitan pizza without spending $1,000+ to fly to Italy. Besides, Naples tends to offend the delicate sensibilities of 99% of travelers. Don't like huge piles of trash all over the streets? Then stick to the WDW version of the pizza.
  19. Season 3 premiers this Thursday at 10 PM EST! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O-2kxNa2adA
  20. I hope this translates into a real improvement in quality, and isn't just marketing. The burgers at Cosmic Ray's, Electric Umbrella, etc. are disgusting.
  21. ^I'm sure that could be a nice amusement park attraction...after a nuclear war hits.
  22. Hard Rock Park. They went from $400 million to bankrupt in less than one full season.
  23. Hard Rock Park. Oh, wait. Robb said "achievement", not "failure". My bad.
