Thoughts: I think the 09 coaster will be a "element clone" of Renagade, as, I really don't think they have the space for a straight clone unless they take Grizzly. And even then they would need to work space for the cars underneath, unless they "cedarfair" them. As much as I like GCIs (or at least Roar), 2 within about 60 miles is kinda werid. Still hoping for intamin anything...(one of the huge spalsh rides, a rocket, an aquatrax, hyper, pre-fab...) However, all of that said: WOO NEW COASTER 09!

Great America To Be Sold Again?
jjeerr replied to Sean Menefee's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did SF (San Francisco) ever pass that law that said something like "you must be in the city to carry the name"? Because you wouldn't really want to be the Santa Clara 49ers... -

The Official "TPR MidWest USA 2007" Trip Thread!
jjeerr replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Did you actually READ the report or are you just asking random questions now to hear yourself talk? Rephrasement of question: Do other CedarFair parks suffer the "Knotts" rain treatment other then Cedar Point and Knotts? -

Does CedarFair close everything even with a light sprinkle now, or is it just for heavy rain/lightning/earthquakes? (I really want to ride a drop tower in the rain, see the drops falling with me...sounds cool) -

Wavepool is open as of 2ish today. I even got one of the free tubes! They had at least 13 Lifeguards within that area, and they even made my brother put on a height-wristband. (he's well over 54in) They are at least looking like its more "safe" -

Disney World Raises Prices...Again
jjeerr replied to Airtime&Gravity's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Disney and Universal can charge more then Cedar Fair/Six Flags. They are premium parks, with rides, food, shows, and overall theme, miles ahead of How many rides can compare to Dragons, Everest, Spiderman, Mummy, Test Track, or Tower? They aren't the tallest, not the craziest, but everyone will want to go again and again. -
SFMM/Southern CA TR

^ 1. Tatsu or X. X doesn't have flashpass, but it doesn't have as crazy waits as before. The line was in the station in the middle of the day last time I was there (which still took a 1/2 hr...) After one of thoughs rides, head to the 'Vu, and keep going that way hitting Riddlers, Batman, Scream,... and you should be able to get on nearly everything in the first 2 hours 2. Colossus is one side only now. Frightfest should get the backward side going again. 3. Just get the flashpasses at the park (they are the 4 tickets for rides type, not the q-bot BTW) -
Make the parks one gate. (well, 2 parks, pay onces) (Treat each park like a huge land) Extend Monorail, make a stop in DCA. Make another way (tunnel, brige, aquatrax...) to jump between "parks" Everest-like ride in DCA parking lot, theme as trip to find gold set ?1849. More effects in Space Mountian, Update/fix rides Use this area for something Something, anything!

Yes, they added a somewhat crappy waterpark a few years ago. Much better then a Stealth ride..... -
Going to Great America monday
jjeerr replied to tatsuboy123's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Monday...well... I still have school, so I would guess that most kids still do too, so it should be pretty empty. Head to Top Gun first, ride it a few times. If you like the front of inverts, ride it there. There is a grouper now, so it may take a few trys to get the front. (You can ask, but the guy there when we went would only let one group wait, it took us 2 trys) Then, backtrack, and go counter-clockwise hitting all of the rides you want to. (Vortex, Demon, Invertigo, Grizzly for the credit, Drop Zone, Survivor, the Mouse ride). After that, it should be about 11-11:30, you can hit the water rides/water park (they open at 11). The best part of the "water park" is the play structure and the green half-pipe slide IMHO, the rest kinda sucks. -
Orlando trip advice
jjeerr replied to M_Force_4_ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
How long are you staying for? If a week... I'd say skip Cypress Gardens, and spend a extra 1/2 day at IOA or someware at Disney. 4 credits and dumpy park or 1/2 day at one of the best... Though you can do 1 day at Disney (but without extra hours, it'll be really hard), I think with 3 days you can do pretty much everything you'd want too (and not be so rushed). 1 day at Epcot, 1 day at Magic Kingdom, 1/2 day each at Animal/MGM. So...3 days disney, 1 day SeaWorld, 1 Day BGA, 2 Days IOA/the park with Mummy and MIB If I'm wrong in someway, someone correct me. (which would be likey) -
Mostly happens (at least for me) with dehydration and lack of food. So, get a snack and a drink before getting in line.
