  4. Wow. That looks really cool. I agree it does look like EE and BTMR combined, but hey, it IS a vekoma . . . . we shall see! Now I have an excuse to fly to Italy.
  5. Wow. This is really a bummer. I have always wanted to meet one of the 9 old men. . . It's hard seeing guys like them pass because they have brought so much to Disney with the movies and then helping Walt with Disneyland. . . I hope they have a dedication to these guys somewhere in Disneyland as a whole, not just a window on Main Street, but a plaque or something.
  6. Is there a download of this park yet? I would really like to play around with it. I enjoy looking at the updates. The scenery is great, and the rides look awesome. keep up the good work.
  7. Eric, I agree with you. Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D was great. The new movies are going to be really neat. I am especially looking foreward to Cars 2, and Toy Story 3. I had a feeling that they were going to make a third, but I didn't think about a story line. I hope they choose to have the clear 3-D glasses instead of the red and blue.
  8. I found this online, some of these movies sound decent. Hope you enjoy! >>DLD NEW YORK (AP) -- The Walt Disney Co. said Tuesday its Pixar animation studio is committing to 3-D and will release all of its movies in the format beginning with "Up" next year. Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter made the announcement in New York at a presentation of Disney's upcoming lineup of animated movies through 2012. He said Walt Disney Animation Studios will offer "The Princess and the Frog," a musical set in New Orleans, in the traditional hand-drawn format for release for Christmas 2009. Meanwhile, Pixar movies will be released in 3-D and the traditional two-dimensional format, beginning in May 2009 with "Up," about an elderly widower who embarks on a South American adventure. Lasseter said he has been inspired by three-dimensional photography for decades. "I love 3-D. I made a 3-D computer-animated short in 1989 called 'Nickname,' and in fact my wedding pictures with my beautiful wife Nancy were made in 3-D," he said. The lineup from Walt Disney Animation Studios also includes the November release of "Bolt," the story of an actor dog who believes he has super powers; "Rapunzel," a retelling of the fairy tale set for release for Christmas 2010; and the modern-day fantasy "King of the Elves," set for release for Christmas 2012. Those films will be released in both 3-D and two-dimensional formats. Pixar's upcoming releases include "Toy Story 3" in June 2010; "newt," a love story involving the last two blue-footed newts alive, set for the summer 2011; the Scottish fantasy "The Bear and the Bow" for Christmas 2011; and "Cars 2" in the summer of 2012. Pixar also plans to rerelease the original "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" in the 3-D format. During its lengthy presentation, Disney also showed a 30-minute clip of "Wall-E," set for release June 27. It tells a love story between the title character, a robot left alone on Earth for 700 years, and another robot named Eve sent to look for life. "The population had to abandon Earth for a while, and they left little Wall-E there to clean it up," said Richard Cook, chairman of The Walt Disney Studios. The only clue creators gave for the upcoming "Toy Story 3" tale was that Andy, the boy who owned the toys, has grown up and is about to head off to college. "Wall-E" is the first Pixar release since last summer's "Ratatouille," which grossed more than $620 million at the worldwide box office. "Ratatouille" was the last publicly disclosed Pixar picture in development before Disney's acquisition of Pixar Animation Studios in May 2006 for $7.5 billion in stock. The acquisition put Lasseter as the creative head at both Disney and Pixar studios and revamped the way Disney made animated films. Lasseter was the director of the first two "Toy Story" hits and a former Disney animator. In "Up," 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Ed Asner) puts balloons on his house to fly to South America to fulfill a promise to his late wife to live in paradise. "We start with unusual premises," said Ed Catmull, Pixar co-founder and president of Pixar and Disney's animated studios. "We go down a path where we're initially always a little scared because we're doing something brand new. It's challenging, but out of that challenge comes the new and the interesting." Disney's commitment to 3-D also reflects a move away from Disney's traditional strength in hand-drawn films, but Catmull said some 600 hand animators remained at the studios. Disney also planned to release four computer-animated "Tinker Bell" movies straight to DVD and Blu-ray discs every year starting in October. In a deal announced last month, four studios -- Disney, News Corp.'s 20th Century Fox, Viacom Inc.'s Paramount, and Universal Pictures, which is owned by General Electric Co.'s NBC Universal -- agreed to help finance and equip 10,000 screens in the U.S. and Canada to accommodate 3-D movies. The conversion will cost as much as $700 million and take three years. Box office figures have shown that the enveloping feel of 3-D can attract two to three times more moviegoers who are willing to pay as much as $3 more per ticket, analysts said. Theater owners and studios hope the offerings will help bring people back to multiplexes for an experience that cannot be matched by increasingly sophisticated home theater systems. 9. Ok , I have heard the confirmation that the "New" House of the Future will be arriving to the Disneyland Resort sometime in May, but where is it going? I got this airial shot from Google Earth, and I can't see where they are going to put it. If anyone can tell me where it's going that would be much appreciated! >>DLD
  10. Wow. Crazy things happen. I didn't even know that DIsney had a charter bus like that.
  11. I had a little storyline that would help with the snow problem. Indiana is on yet another mission, this time to a subzero place where there is some idol that causes mass chaos. He gets trapped inside the cave where he found the idol, and has to take a rickety mine train out. This then follows by poachers (yes, I added a politictly correct terrorist in there) who want the idol for themselves. Poor storyline, but anything is possible with Disney. >>Jake
  12. seems interesting. So no theming, just the ride ? And how do you import the rides? I have never figured out how to do that . Other than that, I am in.
  13. I thought Disney World needed an Indiana Jones ride, and with the New movie coming out, what could be better? This would be next to Jungle Cruise, right by the entrance to Adventureland. Comments and suggestions are needed. >>Jake SCR4.BMP SCR3.BMP SCR2.BMP
  14. Hey! I'm in! I wanted to toy around with the LIM ride on NL and now I have an excuse to play!
  15. This was another way for a person to get cheap cash from Disney. I don't see the problem with Segways in the park. What is the problem with that. And aren't the Segways only used for guided tours? Or can you rent them for your own pleasure?
  16. I stumbled across this social networking site that is Disney related. It is in no way affiliated with Disney, but gives a place for Disney fans to chat. I have an account, it is really cool. It is similar to Myspace, but is all about Disney. Here's the link. >>Jake www.disfriends.com
  17. Out of curiosity, are you going to build the other Disney parks in Florida? It would be cool to see epcot and the "Hollywood" Studios on RCT 2.
  18. Disney isn't a company to buy a park, and them turn it into their own. Although it would be cool to see a park go into Canada, i don't think it would happen. But i did hear that they might be building another park in Orlando . Hopefully it comes true, and is better than Animal Kingdom.
  19. wow. I have never been on the original X, so from what everyone is saying, I will never have to experience how rough it was . The new trains look cool. I hope they paint them to match the track colors because if they leave them like that, it is going to be a waste of money for SFMM . Looking foreward to the "new X" though.
  20. cool! I think the next one you should do in a couple of years is the "New" California Adventure with the refurbishments. But this is awesome. Great job.
  21. Dude! I would be in Lego heaven! There's a model of the Empire State Building @ the Lego Store in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, but they have a life size model of Jack Sparrow! anyways good pics so far, looking foreward to more. >>Jake Is that Jack Sparow I see?
  22. jarmor, here's some pictures of the current Tomorrowland. What do you think? I personally think that they need to coordinate their colors better. Autopia still has the burgundy and dark greens, while Space Mountain is back the the Original White. The rest is purples and blues. The new monorails are going to help. They need to put in the peoplemover again. Update Star Tours' film. Possibly where they have 3 separate films from the last 3 movies. They need to put in another fast ride, something similar to Test Track. Take out Innoventions, and have a ride on each level. Maybe the first level could be Mission Space, and the second, Stitch's Great Escape. Update the Train Station, and Take out Redd' Rockets' Pizza Port, and put in a better Restaraunt that is reservation only. Take out the Starcade, and put in something to do with Wall-E, and future movie developements. This is Innoventions, a place where you can play free disney videogames, and see a segway, but can't ride on one. > Here's where the peoplemover used to be. And currently there is nothing here. The Satalite dishes on top are a little show synchronized to music playing every 15 minutes or so.
  23. If you look at Tomorrowland at Disneyland, it is slowly losing it's "Futureness". If you were to refurb this, what would you do. Be logical. This is not just adding rollercoasters, but adding scenery, restaraunts, etc. So here's the question, What will you do?
  24. Hmm, this might be a reason to change the logs from single row, to 2x2. I hope so, because the line for SM is getting longer every time I'm down there. But 60in. for the front is pretty tall, yet when they say put the smallest people in your party in the front, it sounds hypocritical doesn't it?
  25. I for one actually want it back. I like the Chili Peppers, and Higher Ground on Space Mountain was Cool. They need to make it darker in there, but overall it wasn't that bad. The regular music sucks . But Screamin is better with the Peppers on it, and not the regular, sucky music. They need to keep the peppers on Screamin. They should add that to the to-do list of the new refurbishment.
