Hey I decided to expose my project to you guys to see what you think about it. I dont want to be long winded so here is a quote from the press release I sent to the park earlier this year... The site was suppose to go live next month however, due to some glitches right now its undecided when im going to get everything up and running. Im going to try to get it up ASAP but since im a full time student, full time employee and this is a solo effort its getting a little difficult but hopefully it will be up and running before the summer is over. But to hold you over until then here are some of the promotional/introduction clips from some of the DVD's I have produced this far... Dollywood Busch Gardens-Tampa Bay Six Flags America (I will post the Six Flags Over Georgia video a little later gotta go to work!) There will be video clips of attractions like monster plantation at SFoG and some exclusive footage of off-season construction taken at various parks! Another feature that I think its really cool is that you, yeah you who's reading, will be able to submit tips and pointers for a particular park on the tips section and you will be given credit for your tip in the form of: "Ride in the front seat of whatever coaster for the best ride!" - Jarvis M, Columbia, SC" As always your feedback is always appreciated and valued!

TR: Dollywood and More

Glad to see you guys had a nice time! I have been wanting to get back down, over, up there (which ever applies) since I brought the season pass. Nice video also. Dave...he has to be a riot to be around im gonna have to steal his quote, "be good, or be good at it and dont get caught" BTW why havent I been featured in a video yet!! -
While im no way near being a cp fanatic, heck I never even been, I still think its no point in saying tearing down a ride because it wasnt running when someone went. I just find it crazy when people react like that because a ride isnt operating. The fact that its a so called "signature" attraction doesnt mean just because its not operating that day it should be torn down. Im not complaining about the fact that he is upset that dragster was down but the fact that just because it was down on his visit it should be torn down and replaced! How sensible is that logic. Lets see....no more deja'vu, no more BORG, lets not for get superman:ultmate escape, no more zonga.....need I go on. Based on that last statement, obviously they havent met Coasterlicious. ......................................

geesh dude, people like you make me ashame to say im part of the coaster community. B!tching about a coaster not working is pointless!! You should know that its a prototype ride and the park is trying to get it fixed as soon as possible. Heck I have been to PKD several times and not once was hypersonic running. I suggest you not plan a trip around one particular coaster because you will probably be dissapointed more and more as time pass. I can see if its in the 8th season and it still has the same problems then you may have a valid point... Enjoy the rest of the park did you know that they have like 15 other coasters there? Now thats food for thought...

Personally I ask the ride ops everywhere I go. My cam is secured around my arm and they are nice enough, some are, to give you the go head some times. Only park I had a problem w/ is PKD one of the ops told me I can take my camera on but I cant record. I was thinking to myself whats the difference!! But I didnt want to risk anything so I didnt record, and this was riochet!

ALright I went back and did some minor tweeking to the video. I changed the style of the POV and only kept it raw for the brake holding segment and did some minor changes to the last half. End result+more music! less "wiiiiiiissshhhhhh" HERE is the updated version! -
during my recent stints to various parks that have racing/dueling coaster only like 5% of the time it did just that. The only park that I know that has a contineous record of racing/dueling is IOA. Is it that it takes too long to load the train and have them duel/race or are the ops just wanting to get the train in and out and dont care about the racing/dueling factor. What are you thoughts?

Dollywood and Silver Dollar City?
jarmor replied to PKDFreak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
well they are own by the same company and things like that but only one of the comparisons are kinda valid to me the fire in the hole and blazin fury. thunderhead is wooden and powder keg is a launched steel coaster. wildfire is a mega looper and tenn tornado is a....well you know... -
Yeah...another Sheikra video however...

Hahaha...yeah, sounds like a gay black guy to me. Made me laugh the first time. Sorry if thats you Jarmor... Noo that wasn’t me!! But it was a gay black guy… he was soo annoying in the line also. I hate when people think they know soo much about coasters the things he was saying I was like thinking, “shut the hell up prick!” it’s a JVC GZ -MC200 camcorder. When I first got the cam I was skeptical because of the size and things like that (not to mention the high price). I was ready to take it back but once I started using it I realized how great the quality was. You should see the DVD’s I have produced, man the quality is soo professional like. Your right rob, but I wanted to show the guest reactions but I think im gonna go back and only play the raw footage right before the drop then the music. And as far as the couple seconds I wanted the coaster to “dance” w/ the music that’s why the train entered on the beat of the music. Apparently that doesn’t work lol lol. I want to thank you guys for the feedback! Keep it comming!! -
Hey i finish editing a video of Shiekra and I want to share it w/ you guys. Its pretty good, in my opinion, and I would love your feedback, comments, or suggestions. Please do not download it if you dont plan on giving me some type of feedback comments or suggestions. That site has limited downloading and I would like it to be reserved for people who are going to give some feedback comments or suggestions (for the third time ) Here was the link but its expired now... Shame on you for just now trying to download it!!

the entrance is close to the flume ride. whats funny is that it isnt really a "que" because I guess they figures w/ 5 trains running a line wouldnt be build up. oh well, off to post my pics...

Hey guys just wanted to get some more feedback on another video I created. This video is of BORG Assimilator at good ole faithful paramount's carowinds. This is actually a shorter version of the segment featured on my "A Day at the Park Presents...Paramount's Carowinds" DVD (what is "A Day at the Park"?? you will soon know ) Anyway the video features BORG of course, but a sorta onride/offride view shot for a not soo often place. And did I mention the "suprise" ending... HERE is the video. Please if you download it give some feedback. The longer version features a different score, more shots and variations, full POV, and some pretty nice night shots!! Enjoy!!

Hey!! I like the top gun video!! I knew it wasnt gonna be a huge crowd pleaser but for what it is, its a pretty good presentation of an awesome coaster. Irregardless, im still proud of myself being able to learn how to shoot video from stratch in one month's time and be able to put together videos like my "ode to top gun". I like it for its uniqueness and how it has a different feel yet same purpose of the rest of the videos in the contest. Wow! this is fun and im glad I entered!!

You have alot to learn....

noooo my digital camera lol lol. I would have shut the park down of it was my camcorder!! The funny thing about it is I was really looking into replacing it because while the quality was pretty good I wanted something better. Now I have no choice! Hopefully I will have better luck at BGT this fri... -

Wait, are you admitting that you possibly just... lost your camera? Well, regardless of whether it was stolen or you lost it, you really should know better than to leave an expensive camera lying around. I'm not justifying someone stealing your camera, but you gotta have some sense of street smarts. So, basically, you're camera is gone, you're pissed off, and you have the rest of the day to spend at SFA. Your report is obviously slanted. If you're pissed at the park, all you're gonna see is negative all day. I go to SFA about once a week, and while yes, it IS bad sometimes, it's not AS bad as you're making it out to be. One thing, Jarmor, I do agree with - the game stands should not be playing rap music. A family park has no business exposing little kids to hip hop. Parents go to Six Flags in attempts to getaway with their family, and I feel they are sorta "sucker-punched" when they walk in and hear this degrading music playing. And Zoltan, hate to burst your bubble, but I've lived between Baltimore and DC for 15 years, and lemme tell you, when you go INTO the cities, you will be shocked. Baltimore is a small city, but it has roughly ONE MURDER PER DAY. Baltimore also has a rampant heroin epidemic. Not that any of this is positive, but you are far off in thinking that the East Coast "tries" to be ghetto. East Coast has nice suburbs, but the innercities can be horrible. -kip- I admitted I dont know what happen to my camera but I was saying after seeing some of the stuff the kids were doing I knew I wasnt gonna get it back. I didnt say the park was soo horrible I enjoyed the park. I dont need to have "street smarts" at all im in a theme park not a dark alley. I would think that someone w/ some dignity would turn it in (like I see at virtually every park I visit when someone looses something). You must have missed the parts when I was talking about how good the coasters ran (when they were running ) and how there were some nice employees. And How I stated how guest services was nice. I was just saying that it seems like they are letting the employees run the park. What I mean about that is that it seems that everyone was doing their own thing. Would I go back any time soon, probably not. Why, because I live in south carolina and I didnt have that "man I gotta get back there soon" experience like I get from parks like IOA, but if im in the area and Im planning on being in the area I would try to squeeze it in... Would I recommend the park, of course! Me loosing my camera didnt effect my day. I had an extra camera. I guess im just use to the exceptional service Paramount's Carowinds gives and expected across the theme park chain.... -
Well, I this weekend was the week for my shoot my DVD for sfa and man was I in for a shock. Now I have heard the rumors from some of you about how horrible the park is but I went there with a clear mind and not thinking about others prospective. to my suprise, and I dont know why it was soo suprising, it was some kinda kids day at the park. I figured I wasnt gonna let that bother me just get my footage and wait for them to leave becuse it was fri and I knew that probbly had to be back at school. Somehow I manage to either sit my digital camera somewhere ir something but bottom line I dont have it anymore. So I went to guest service and they were pretty nice about things. SO already mins in my day im a tad bit upset. Now here is where im strting to look at the park w/ a rised eyebrow. on every coaster the dispatch time was about minutes, and im giving them that. I dont see the need to have to stack trains like that when it wasnt that busy in the first place. Granted the employees were semi-people oriented (they did let me get footage on all of the costers) they just wern't nice like people who are interacting with the public should be. Its like that didnt care about havng your business. For example, at S:ROS one of the crew members must have did something wrong and mantaince came and politely told him that he couldnt call on something because that is what caused the problem. As the gentleman was walking away, the crew menber said,in a not so quiet manner, "you f*ckin' F*ggot". I was like whoaaa. Then I was just watching the rotoshake ride getting redy to operate and talking to another park guest and she was like when her kids saw the ride it was no line but they are taking soo long to start the ride she know they have been waiting for atleast minutes. I saw a "red shirt" just standing around and I politely asked him what was wrong with the ride. He barely looked up from his paper just to say...., "I dunno" and kept doing what he was doing. By this time im really loosing hope in the park Also here it is in the beginning of the season. Now correct me if im wrong but i would think rides would be having extensive down time later in the season not the beninning. Well several rides were down and some open in the afternoon of the day. Now what really took the cake was the fact about how six flags made it known that they were gonna have more security in the parks, WRONG! I didnt see any park security walking the park and what makes matters worst they few rides that had someone on guard were very incoherent and act as if they didnt wanna be there. What really made me ready to leave the park was when I was at batwing (and yes they were running one train operation) appraently someone's wallet fell out right beneath the exit oof the vertical loop. The kids in front of me ere tlking about jumping the fence and getting it but someone they decided not to. It wasnt like any security guards were 1000 yards in the area. well now im at the staris to the station and what do I see, a kid jumping th fence and snatching up the wallet. I was like WTF, but I guess he knew the next train wasnt comming out the station for atleast another 10 minutes. I guess a female from his school saw him and she called him over. I didnt know what she was saying but from the looks of it she wasnt happy w/ what he did. I guess he got nervous and decided to leave the que, but on his way out I stopped him and was like I hope he plans on turning that wallet in. He lookedat me and kept walking. Right then I knew I wasnt gonna get my camera back. ANd lets not talk about the music...instead if hearing the vega boys "we like to party" I was hearing 50 cent "hate it or love it" T.I.'s "bring him out" and other stuff that I personally feel doesnt belong in a theme park. (for the record I am balck and I listen to some of it but just dont wanna hear it in a family enviroment). Even in the gift stores they were playing the local radio station. As I was checking out I was talking to the employee, who happen to be the best employee there. She was nice and courteous and seemed to enjoy her job. I was like, "why is this park soo ghetto"? She kinda smiled and was like, "we're not ghetto" and right after she said that one of the other chicks she work with came in dancing and shaking her boo-tae. I I start laughing and was thinking how unbelivable this place is. But on a good note all the coaters were running wonderfully! I found out mind eraser isnt not as rough as some say it is (geeze guys its a roller coaster not a rocking chair!). It was actually quite enjoyable. Rough is what you would call Ninja at SFoG. Roar was very smooth as well as twoface. I did get a faborite woodie out of this trip, wildone. That is an AWESOME coaster! It never lets up and the air on it is just undescrible!! I also manage to get one of those six flags coaster kids for like 20 bucks and a mr. six teashirt for 10 dollars. I could go on and on about things like not hacing lettuce or tomatoes for the burgers and the girl telling me I didnt need those for the burger and they its good without it. but im gonna save that for my letter to somebody who calls the shots. I wonder if they ever do a park walk around?? dorry is some words re misspelled. Contas are out and its 12 something )went back to sfa today to get more footage and then went to pkd to finish the day out!)

im not an engineer, well not just yet, but im thinking that if the tower was taller then it would require more resistance and force to control the falls therefore causing more system requirements and problems -
