  1. THIS!!! And you all know this HOW?? LMAO
  2. Finally, a park that uses hills instead of twists and turns! I wish more of the wood getting built was just basic hill after hill instead of all the swooping and diving. Much better for riding.....
  3. ^ That would be the ones in discussion....
  4. When it was Wild World they were body slides. Somewhere @ Adventureworld's days they became tube slides?? That was quite scary as on the yellow slide the tube would come damn close to being halfway out of the chute on some of the lower turns as it was a pretty fast slide. I always wished they would put them back to body slides so you could arch your back and ride your shoulder blades and heels to get max speed!!!!
  5. I wonder if this will be a refurbed version of the 4 original slides from the old Wild World days? I guess I should ask if they are even still standing there where they were? I remember a few years back they were pretty overgrown with the trees and such around them, but you could still see the splash pool when you went by the ferris wheel.

  7. I don't recall it ever being black either?? Just navy and yellow, and then the rainbow crap it was the last few years. I really think the orange trains stand out (no pun intended LMAO) pretty well with the new track colors.
  8. Whatever you want to call this, it is one of the best twisty-loopy elements going!! credit to RCDB
  9. No problem, from the Wisp you head up Route 219 to Route 40 through Uniontown, PA. Go on Route 51 until you hit Elizabeth, PA, follow 837 north right up the river to the park......
  10. Add me to the list of people who prefer this TOGO to any B&M stand up I have ever been on. If you ride it right it is actually quite a bit of fun! Backseat and keep your head back against the headrest like the sign says and you have nothing to worry about. And remember to prepare for that sudden stop at the end LMAO!
  11. Nice to see Maryland on your list albeit only for the alpine coaster at the Wisp. This is pretty much in my backyard. It is open year round and we get some pretty harsh winters up this way. But if you visit in the summer, it is only about an hour or so south of Kennywood!!! I would recommend spending at least a day there @ the Wisp as there are some great eateries, taverns, and plenty of things to see and do at the lake......
  12. Wasn't that about the price tag for Texas Giant? So it would be something along that same scale I would imagine.
  13. Wonder what color they will go with for the trains.
  14. I was a washing machine once LMAO.....sorry but I hope you meant fortunate. I would honestly rank KD coasterwise as one of the best parks in the US, just need to get some good flat action going.
  15. How many here actually remember it from the pre Paramount era? It would be nice to see that kind of retro turnaround......I really miss the park from those times and the amount of "fun" that was all around. Maybe it is just my inner child talking, but it just seemed a lot nicer then.....
  16. Best 2 sentences ever typed on a message board!!!! My insides still hurt from laughing...
  17. I am pretty partial to the original colors more so than some gaudy day-glo flourescent scheme.... Compliments of Shane's Amusement Attic
  18. Screamin Swings are the greatest achievement of the last few years, those things are downright sick!!!! Could you imagine one that was damn near as tall as SEFK!!!

  20. With the wheel design of the new trains, are they somewhat "locked" to the track to prevent the sideways and up and down shuffle that you get with a traditional wood train? I believe this is kinda what differentiates the the 2 styles of ride. The majority of , if not all, steel coasters are relatively locked to the rails in order to perform the transitions associated with steel designs. This to me would say that the train is going to travel the exact spot on each section of rail and provide pretty much the same experience every time. With a wooden coaster you might not really notice but each ride gives a different experience somewhat. Just my 2 cents.........does it really matter, bottom line is it is still a coaster, and it still looks to be a helluva ride regardless!
  21. Well, knowing CF, it will be red and yellow......
  22. So you're going to wait a few months instead of waiting an hour or two? Not trying to start anything but this makes no sense to me. I can actually agree with waiting. I went to KD the year Shockwave opened. We waited upwards of 3 hours for that 1 ride, got a total of 5 or 6 different rides in that day total. If I am spending money, I want some action, not weaving through the cattle gates just to get 1 ride in. If I was going out of my way for that 1 ride, then yeah I guess it would have to happen, but if it was a park I visit frequently, then hell no, just wait till a slower day comes along.
  23. The train is carrying momentum, not from a starting position. If BG was to add this element somewhere in mid run, I really could see it being a possibility.
