Appalachian Adventure

Here's some advice - get started with your project before you make a thread for it. I'll be closing this thread if you don't add any screenshots soon. -

Best Drop Ride!!!
A.J. replied to coaster_shorty's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Has anyone been on that new traveling Funtime tower Skyfall? It looks, at first glance, to be a super sized version of the Larson / ARM towers, and everyone agrees on how good they are. EDIT: This one... -
How about... Expedition GeForce, Katun, Fjord Flying Dragon, El Toro and Phoenix?

On most coasters I have my arms down and throw them up when going over airtime hills. On floorless and inverted coasters I keep my hands down all the time but I extend my legs out.

There isn't as much need for it during the day but during Howl-O-Scream queues are a nightmare (Zing!). The Quick Queue entrances aren't always next to the maze's main entrance - Bitten and Cut Throat Cove had their two entrances close and Deadline's is a split off from the main queue, but the Quick Queue entrance for 13: Your Number's Up is actually next to the exit. It's very weird. I don't remember where Root of All Evil's was.

LED Lighting On Rides and Midways
A.J. replied to DenDen's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Has Tivoli Gardens started using LED lighting for all the lights at night yet? That would be something that I want to see. -
LED Lighting On Rides and Midways

You could seriously fake the incandescent look with LEDs anywhere and no one would know. The technology has gotten that good. -

It is true that the evening pass only lets you on five specific coasters (not sure which ones) but it's half-price compared to the day pass. I'm not sure it'll be necessary based on when you're going, but I didn't expect Busch Gardens Williamsburg to get so crowded last Saturday either... -
Hotgo Park in Fushun China

That big drop in the middle looks like it catches you by surprise. More new wooden coasters for the United States please! -
How do you watch YouTube?
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My favorite videos to watch are video game "Let's Play" videos because I can just leave them on in the background while I do work, so my primary device that I watch on is my computer. I also like watching YouTube videos using my Wii U. -
Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would guess it's due to clearances - aren't Banshee's trains wider than the old-style inverted trains? -

In this particular case I think that it fits the setting incredibly well, especially considering that the front of the castle doubles as a show stage. -
[RCT2] Unofficial Park
A.J. replied to ZeFancehCatfeesh's topic in Roller Coaster Games, Models, and Other Randomness
You should probably give your thread an actual title, and a [RCT2] tag, and more content. Otherwise, well, you probably know what will happen. -

If you make one more separate update thread you'll be banned. It's getting to the point of ridiculousness, learn how to post in a forum. -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The path goes directly to Sooperdooperlooper and Skyrush. After you go under Comet's support structure the entrance to Skyrush is on your left, and a games stand and Sooperdooperlooper are straight ahead. -
Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Let me just be clear here - I'm not upset that Maelstrom is closing, and I'm not totally upset about a Frozen attraction replacing it either. I just really don't think that a Frozen story re-telling (like Under the Sea) should be a marquee attraction in the World Showcase. Now, if the new attraction ends up being one that educates and entertains with Scandinavian culture using the Frozen characters to break the barrier and connect with children (and some adults), I'm absolutely cool with that. -
Walt Disney World Epcot Discussion Thread
A.J. replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^ Yes, I totally agree with that! If this is an attraction along the lines of The Seas with Nemo and Friends where the characters ease the transition into the real educational attraction, I'm okay with that. But if this the equivalent of Under the Sea but telling the story of Frozen instead, then I don't like the idea at all! Part of the appeal of EPCOT, at least to me, is that there are very few character attractions that aren't meet-and-greets... -

I really like how Mantis' layout looks, though I've never ridden it. It appears to be a lot more than your typical "inversion after inversion" coaster. I remember that the layout was published in an old book on roller coasters and I was always trace the layout and compare it to photos when I was a child...
