Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
FeelTheFORCE replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I noticed a couple weeks ago that the supports dont touch the cement footers and are a couple inches in the air...shown here, here, and here, whereas the supports are fully on the ground on Goliath in this picture. Why are they like that? -
Golf and Racquetball, chea.

Turbo Drop or Space shot??
FeelTheFORCE replied to c0@ster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yea even though I voted for Turbo Drop for the anticipation waiting at the top, I would have to say that the Big Shot on top of the Stratosphere is the best Space Shot I have ever been on...it would be even better if it were a turbo drop. -
What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
FeelTheFORCE replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The last one I rode and will ride until summer of 07 was the Thunderbolt. -

I think it could clear every support except the middle one on that picture. Unless its just from a weird angle. -
Turbo Drop or Space shot??

Turbo Drop because theres nothing like sitting up there waiting for it to drop. -

Yea they didnt check the restraints when I rode it either, but I found the corkscrews to be rather smooth. -

Well if it IS an Aquatrax, it wouldnt be that hard to break those records considering theres only one other AQTRX in the world. -

Its just so electrifying when they announce the steelers starting lineup...it gets me so pumped up. -
I remember when pokemon was a fad...then it ended up being banned from just about every school.

What was sad about my uncle was that he was born in and spent his childhood in Puerto Rico, so when they forget everything recent and go back to their childhood it was really hard to take care of him because he was thinking he was a kid in Puerto Rico again and had no idea whatsoever who I or any of my family was. And when he was in his 20s he was a boxer so that didnt help the situation when he got violent. He got it pretty early too and had it pretty long...he was 63 when he died and probably around 53 or 54 when he first started showing signs.

Do we need to have OHR on Coasters
FeelTheFORCE replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Yea I think they are just fine the way they are now...if you dont like how the restraints are, then dont ride it. -
I have a couple good football cards...Ben Roethlisberger rookie card Antwaan Randle El rookie card, and Marshall Faulk rookie card. Thats all I can think of now.

Like I asked before, has anyone else's loved one had or have this terrible disease? I went through it twice, both my uncle and my grandpap had it. They both passed away a couple years ago, but it was the worst thing anyone can ever go through. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through this terrible experience.

They are just saying that to tease us some more, I bet the announcement wont be for another couple months. But it is starting to get confusing...they are going to count down the days to announce the amount of days until the announcement date??? -

No they wont, it may look as if they are going along pretty fast (which they are), but you have to put in perspective that after all the track and supports are placed there is still MANY more things they have to do. Such as, install all the censors, build a station, build a queline (sp?) and an exit ramp, plant grass and trees, put up signs, not to mention that the sandusky winters are pretty harsh (believe me I know, im not THAT far away) and once it gets colder they will have less days they are able to work because of the snow and cold. Also heres something to add. Click. (The Aug. 17th entry.) -

Not necessarily. You could easily reach speeds in excess of 120 mph using a 500+ foot lift hill, but that would require a LOT of land because going that fast you need tons of track for the train to run on at those speeds, i mean the next hill after the lift hill would have to be at least 400 feet, it would also require tons of supports and track which means that it would cost at least double TTD and MF ($25 mill) possibly more. Those are the reasons no one is doing it and sticking to launches..
