  1. The ride definitely climbed in my books thanks to the new video! It looked kinda dull in the first video, but it looks really great in this new one. Still can't wait to see if they are actually gonna use the old track shape for this or not.
  2. Mack water coasters are one of my favorite family coasters type, and I'm really happy to see another one opened. The one at Djurs is awesome, and the theming on this one looks really cool. I love how they have combined the coaster with a dark ride section.
  3. I also thought about it, I think it is because the track exit the element much lower than it enters. It's also noticed that this is Intamin's first really big top hat to use the triangle track, instead of the square.
  4. So I had another sleepless nights about a month ago, so I started browsing some Chinese forums with google translate, looking for a Murphy's surf pool project I knew about, and boy did I hit the jackpot. This place looks totally amazing. Why can't we have waterpark's like this in Sweden? The park is located on an island in the river that runs through the town. Have a look at this awesome park, and leave a comment below Here's a model of the park. And here's a 3-D animation. Here's a blueprint. Note that the Octopus Racer, Behind the Tornado were changed out to a speed slide complex. Let's start with some construction pictures. This is a quality A park, that chose to work with only the best of suppliers like Proslide, Whitewater and Murphy's Waves. Since 95% of all the water park's built in China use Chinese knock-off companies, it's really nice to see that some park buy's the high quality stuff! A Tornado and Behemoth Bowl complex. It's very rare for Proslide to use these two rides on the same tower. The only other one I can think of is at Gyeongju World, Korea. If you know some more, please share There is a really tall speed slide complex from Whitewater with an Aqualoop and a Freefall Plus. Looks awesome, don't it? There's also a Giant Rainfortress from Whitewater. With a seriously kick-ass viking theme! There's also a pipeline complex from Proslide, with one of the first Pipeline Wave's in the world. Here's the parks main entrance (at least the best photo of it I could find). Here's a pretty decent panorama photo. But the parks true star attraction has to be the amazing surf pool from Murphy's, the best wave maker in the world. (this pool is actually how I found out about this park). It's just so amazing looking! Just look at that mountain! Sure it may look a bit like Typhoon Lagoon, but this one has a viking ship, so it automatically wins! Here's an overview of this gorgeous pool. In-pool concerts is a pretty cool concept IMO. Here's the pipeline complex in action. It's the first time that Proslide has used the big open Tantrum/Tornado 24 funnels for a 2-person ride. The idea was presented at the 2010 IAAPA. Happy people! And another one. How can you not smile, coming of a Proslide ride? (well, most of them at least). Another look of this great complex. More smiling people. The park also has an extreme river, that looks pretty great! The only thing I don't like with these types of rivers is the high walls, but they are a necessity of the ride. Misty photo. A thing I really like about Chinese water park's is that most of them really do a lot of theming on their rivers and wave pool. One more photo. Some kick-ass looking theming. Some more. This is how a dragon looks, just before they are about to eat some children! Dragon horse? There's a pool for just hanging around as well. Children's area. Again. A nice playground in the middle of the pool. Spray-ground. Toddler pool. Some cool looking Proslide kiddie slides. Awesome Tornado! Looking down the funnel! Looks pretty intense actually. Happy people! Have you ever seen somebody not smile on a Tornado ride? Here's the kick-ass play structure again. It has a bowl slide, and a mini racer. Whitewater has not built this particular model in the western world yet, but there are at least five of them in China. From the backside. And from another angle. SKLOOOOSH! And another angle. And one more. Love the theme of this one! It would not be a true water park without one of the world's best water attraction! She looks pretty happy, don't she? Big-ass wave breaking at the beach. I really would like to visit this place! Overview. Just love the look of the mountain. Just imagine what would happen to those people if they were running the wave machine at the full 12 feet wave pattern. Another overview. A shade structure. Here's one more areal shot. Let's look at the speed slide complex again. Love the viking shields on the tower! I also love how they have painted the supports. Just look at how tall it is. 7 stories, compared to the standard 5 stories, for most speed slides. Some lucky guy, about tho have the wedgie of his live! I would love to try an Aqua loop this size. The only other ones I can think of this big are at Noah's Ark and Great Edmonton Mall. If you know another, share! And one last look of this great looking tower. And let's finnish with how amazing this place look in the dark! Please share a comment below with your thoughts on the park! Source Source Source
  5. Only 3 pieces of tower done, and I am already in love with that thing. Can't wait to see how the tilt mechanics are going to work
  6. I have not been on a Windseeker, but I already know that I would prefer the Star Flyer!
  7. Yup, but the design was American
  8. The work inside the station moves along. Source
  9. I love the look of this picture of the mat racer! Source
  10. I have also been thinking about a splash battle, but it just seems a little bit to much of a major project to be just that. I'm really curious about this one!
  11. Actually, there's more to it. The difference on the lapbars of Skyrush and the new looping coasters, is that the ones on Skyrush were designed by Intaride US, and the other ones were designed by Intamin Europe. Both restraints were designed simultaneously around 2011, and there's no real answer to why they did there own different designs.
  12. That's a real nice car. I would love for a park here in Scandinavia to pick up an El Loco. Seems like it would be the ideal ride for Skara Sommarland.
  13. Just because Cedar Fair hasn't built an Intamin ride for four seasons, including 2014, does not mean they parted ways. This. Wing riders and RMC coasters seems to be the hot thing right now. It's not every year a park needs a high intensity Intamin ride.
  14. The ownership of Liseberg is one of the things I like most with the park. There is no interest from private owners and investors to fulfill. It would not be the Liseberg we all love if the park had not been run they way it has, since it was opened. If that were to change, I would really hate it.
  15. It's a dark blue shade actuality, it's a bit hard to see though. Source Source
  16. No it's not. They probably wanted to save some money, since the ride who stood there before was on a big concrete pad.
  17. A new announcement is coming soon, according to their Facebook!
  18. Premier confirmed by their Facebook that this is indeed the track for Holiday Park's new coaster. And here is some construction photos. It appearars (from how they are pouring one big platform) that this new ride will be based on a big frame, instead of supports with induvidal footers. I had hoped this ride would have been the permanent induvidual footers version, shown on the conept art for Superman, Discovery Kingdom. Still freaking awesome! Source Source On a note on the re-theme of the flume ride, I actually really like the new look, and I hope they do some re-theme on the rapids ride next. I would also like Expedition Geforce to get a proper station, in true Plopsa quality.
  19. This new attraction is so cool, because we still have no clue what it is!
  20. This park just got a lot cooler. And some more pictures of the rest of the park. The mountain gets closer to completion. The whale is done. And it still looks really good! Source
  21. If it simply comes down to looks, this one is pretty hard to beat IMO.
  22. Those are some awesome photos! Looks like Dreamcatcher could use some paint, and the Frisbee looks gorgeous.
  23. This photo is 2 weeks old, so I would guess that all the track on the ride is complete by now. Source
  24. The topper track is just such a beautiful sight!
