  1. Here's a fan made video. I really liked Krake so something like this would be awesome IMO, although I do hope they will also feature a splash feature on this one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_RODBkX3iqg
  2. I do hope they find a way to save this coaster, and keep it going for years to come. With that said I don't feel that they should keep it going just because of the legacy, if they can't get the economy to work then it's probably time to let it go, but hopefully a solution will be found.
  3. A new indoor water park have opened north of Shanghai, and it looks so impressive that I have to share it. It's 100% built by Whitewater West. Here's a map of the park. This is the bottom floor, lot's of awesome slides! And this is the second floor, even more awesome slides here! And here's the outdoor part. The entrance looks nice So does the building Let's start with a few construction photos, Is that a cool play structure I spy? Here's a Family Pythoon for 4 people and a tube bowl slide There's an Aqualoop And a regular free fall slide next to it I really like that the big 6 people family rafts are completely inside Nice dumpbucket! There's also a Master Blaster under the roof And a 3-lane Whizzard mat racer A bit dirty during construction Here's the Aquaplay again Almost done! It's a pretty tall building Here's the only major outdoor slide, looks like a 3 people raft slide The wave pool looks inviting Some girls Looks nice! More girls.. This is what an empty FlowRider looks like Not everyone can be in good shape, but seriously? That's more like it! These attractions are always awesome! 6 people family raft 6 people boomerango Outdoor Lazy river Theming More river A smaller Aquaplay structure Here's the slides on the second floor, looks good! Awesome looking play structure The blue/red slide actually have a Pythoon section on the outside, look at the park map again and you'll see it Let's end with a great photo of the play structure! 4. I don't think the delayed opening of FF will affect Busch's relation to Intamin at all. Building this kind of a prototype they knew that something like this could happen, and there should also be specified in the contract how to handle the delay. If the ride starts to have very much downtime and problems after going into operation then that could potentially affect their relation.
  5. That is the spinning Maurer ride at Chessington, right?
  6. That is awesome news! Can't wait to ride it next year. I'm really hoping for some awesome light and sound effects in the tower.
  7. In my experience no. No magnetic launch has been close to that of a hydraulic launch, regardless of who manufactured it. Stealth is so far the most powerful launch I've been on, and I can only imagine how Dodonpa would feel. The rolling launches from Gerstlauer do provide some really good forces, but as already stated the speed it comes into the launch helps a lot by eliminating the most power consuming part of the launch. Also the most annoying part with the magnetic launches are that they are most powerful in the start, they drop a lot toward the end of the launch.
  8. Whitewater have announced that they will be the supplier of the water park at Ocean kingdom. This isn't really strange since it's a Chimelong park, and Chimelong Water Park is almost entirely Whitewater built. The marine animal exhibit wave pool sounds especially interesting, and I hope one of the other two wave pool's is a hydraulic surf pool. Source
  9. ^ I was thinking of the sun, that ride will be pink in just a few years.
  10. It would be hilarious if this actually turned out to just be a custom Volare..
  11. ^ There's been a lot of talk about welding and correcting the track on the Australian forum. It probably just wasn't economical anymore.
  12. A red coaster in Dubai, seriously what were they thinking?
  13. The Windseeker looks great, but I'm a little bit disappointed that it dosen't have a cool top decoration like Eclipse, Texas Starflyer or the UFO that the other Windseeker's have.
  14. ^ Well it would for sure have costed more than what they got with Skyrush, but you can't really compare the price of it with that of Skyrush since it would have been a completely new system, that would also have been extremely complicated. If Intamin would have been asked to also propose a spinning inverted coaster around 200 feet then the price would probably be very similar on the pricing, since it's such a complicated system. If Mack would have proposed a mega coaster similar to Skyrush then you could say it was a matter of price, that would probably have been a little bit more expensive than Skyrush.
  15. Intrasys supplies most of the different manufacturers launch components (Mack, Intamin, Gerstlauer, Premier etc..), it's nothing unique to this installation.
  16. That's not correct, Mack's proposal for the Skyrush project was a 200 foot tall inverted roller coaster with spinning vehicles (similar to Arthur) which also had inversions. That coaster was placed around the Kissing Tower. The proposal was turned down because Hersheypark didn't want to be the first one who bought such a complicated prototype.
  17. The park looks awesome, but the main street do look like it could use one or two rows of trees.
  18. Blue Fire is nothing like an Intamin coaster. Mack rides are not cheaper than an Intamin ride, slightly more expensive actually.
  19. The park did a "Cowabunga Bay" and have announced that the park won't be ready until 2015. The park's Magicone, Polin's first Tornado slide, is rising and I think it looks really nice. Source
  20. ^ Oh it's a waist no doubt, but it looks really good! Kinda like a Ferrari, it's nice to be able to drive in 230 mph, but you never do it. The Abyss is actually available in a half model, but nobody has bought it yet.
  21. An awesome looking Abyss from Whitewater have now opened at Tokyo Summerland, looks good, dosen't it? Source
  22. The other Zacspins would not have been allowed to open again unless they know what the cause of the accident was. Yes, we will have to wait for the official investigation from the authorities until we officially know the reason, but Intamin already knows it. As to what modifications they have done we will probably never know.
  23. I actually think it's going to be very interesting to see if they will use the same lift hill construction as on Leviathan, where the spine goes down into the ground, on the one at Carowinds or if there's a better solution when there's not a coaster below it.
