  1. It's quite common for B&M to do it. The only other factory producing B&M track is Gipponi, Italy. Given the european economy it's most likely cheaper to build the track in Italy, but it's most likely no space for it in the factory's schedule.
  2. I found this picture Some more photos here, looks like they are reusing the old slides supports/footers. Source
  3. While the pieces could be for the Carowinds coaster the chain lift looks to have a much tighter radius when reaching the top compared to a hyper style B&M ride. It look very similar to Krake however, which make me think this is the track for one of the dive machines going to Gardaland and Efteling. I could be wrong though.. The piece for a B&M hyper style ride dosen't have such a steep angle at the top of the lift, also the track piece is longer. Photo source Photo source
  4. It looks taller than it actually is, looks to be only a couple of meters tall. Should be a fun ride, without any discomfort.
  5. It was because Six Flags didn't want to prototype the trains, and by doing so risking any downtime. That's why they didn't buy the RMC trains until now, when Outlaw Run have run without problems for a season. It's all about the $$!
  6. Relocating the boomerang would probably be the most cost efficient way to create space for some new slides, and maybe also the splash down ride.
  7. The height of Colossos have long been a discussed subject in the coaster world, but the stats that BDG posted are the correct ones. RCDB is often wrong, if they don't have the stats of a coaster, then they post what the park claims. The site still claims that Speed Monster at Tusenfryd is 40 meters tall, when it really "only" is 31 meter tall, simply because the par claims on their website that the ride is 40m. Same thing with Colossos.
  8. Not sure if this is worth a thread of it's own, but everyone on here loves this company, so here goes! A facility twice as big as the current one will probably be able to produce three times as much as the current one. And maybe they will also keep the one they already have. Whatever they chose the capacity will increase very greatly! Source
  9. I'm impressed with how fast the plaster went in the wave pool!
  10. Awesome! Can't wait to hear what you all think of Juvelen in a few days!
  11. One of the pools have been filled with water LOVE this complex, it just looks so perfect! Here's the latest video
  12. Awesome! I totally forgot were you were, been so busy lately that I pretty much lost track of time.
  13. While this is true, the new 16 seats booster could be a possibility if they wanted it. They could get two of those, similar to how BPB had theirs, that would give them a capacity of 32. Sure loading still takes a while, but it would still be a decent capacity. They could maybe even build a new style booster, similar to the Flying Fury ride, with only one big tower, with two arms, one on each side.
  14. Some interesting information about the new ride coming to Phantasialand. They don't want to give away an opening of the ride, so we are most likely not looking at anything earlier than 2016. The whole article about Chiapas is awesome, and I encourage everyone to read it here, page 39.
  15. Some awesome photos, these two are really great!
  16. Great photos from a great park! Really hope the Gerstlauer is coming for 2015.
  17. Shane, one question, how are you going to landscape the park? I didn't really follow the the Wet'n'wild park, but one complaint I read on their FB page is the "desert landscape" and the lack of real grass. Here in Scandinavia our small water park's have grass all over the places, and I do like it. How will you landscape the park? This slide looks so AWESOME, both in colors, and how tight the helix is. LOVE it! LOL
  18. Sorry, Polin built the first one already last summer Also the hughmongus new Magic Sphere opening soon in Thailand, which is one of the biggest slides in the world BUT Whitewater is almost finished with their first sphere slide in Australia Source Source
  19. Lot's of new photos! The park may open in August, otherwise probably not before 2015. Source
  20. I actually think we definitely have the weather for it, someone (hopefully me one day) just needs the balls to build something like this over here. I *think* that it will open in 2015, but obviously Shane will have to be the one answering that question.
  21. Also, Polin have updated their website to a new look and added these two photos of how the Surf Safari slide will look
  22. The ride is now open for buisness! Proslide and Skara did an awesome job on this one, it looks just as well thought through like the free fall slide. Last years season was a huge success, and hopefully this one will be as well. Then maybe we'll see a Proslide Rocket in 2015 The old Space Bowl slide have been repainted and given a new name for 2014 (hopefully they have also renovated the joints in the slide, and not just painted it!)
  23. I like the idea of a water park expansion. A new style mat racer and a pair of blaster slides would be an awesome addition, for an example.
