  1. The park have pretty much stopped putting construction photos on their FB, but the first parts for the slides from Polin have now shown up on the site, and I remembered a while ago the wave machines from world leading Murhy's Waves arrived. The fiberglass parts should start to arrive within the next few weeks. Source
  2. If you can't choose between Balder and Helix simply toss a coin, they are both awesome coasters! But if I were you I would actually make Lisebergbanan the 100th credit, it's such a great ride.
  3. Wasn't this S&S tower supposed to be the first one with the new ringed seats? I think the guy from S&S announced that at IAAPA 2 or maybe 3 years ago.
  4. Gipponi produces lot's of other stuff, manufacturing at their place is entirely up to the capacity of their factory.
  5. Anyone who have been and have some pictures to share?
  6. That sounds AWESOME! For sure it will be a top 3 water park in Europa, I'm not even doubting that. I love that they are focusing more on slides than wellness and it's great to see them going for a indoor and outdoor area. Hopefully they will chose great themes for the different areas. It would be really cool if they did a big surf pool, it looks like they could use it going by the projected visitor numbers. Any idea when ground breaking will take place? I wonder who will deliver the slides, I would guess Proslide or Whitewater will take it, with a slight edge to Whitewater.
  7. The only thing that POV does to me is cementing my opinion even more that the Vekoma version looks much better.
  8. Just heard on the radio that Gröna Lund is closing Insane until the accident have been thoroughly investigated.
  9. This is how I interpret the blueprint: Big-a$$ drop into a tall banked element, then straight into another tall banked element (possibly a Stengel Dive-ish element), then a medium sized banked element, then a tall 180 degree turnaround, then a speed hill á la Shambhala or just a long valley, then another medium sized banked element, then a camelback (the supports from the blueprint dosen't look like supports for a MCBR), then a helix where the middle half of it looks to sit pretty tall above the ground judging from how the supports are made (it looks similar to MF's over banked helix, after the big airtime hill), then a camelback over the bottom of the first drop, then a low to the ground curve and finally a turn into the brake run.
  10. That sounds awesome, I expect an extensive photo report!
  11. Only some slight rattle in the back of the train, in a few selected places, was all I could notice all day.
  12. That looks really awesome, I've been liking this project since it was announced and it just keeps deliver! I'm seriously dying to try the ride.. Now Plopsa, PLEASE give Expedition Geforce a proper station, with the same level of theming! It really deserves it! While at it might as well give the trains a fresh paint job.
  13. Well the white supports are on site, so no reason to hope for something else.
  14. I actually have real high hopes for this one, even though I will probably never ride it. But still, 60 meter tall and the world's tallest loop should really make it something special!
  15. Really awesome photos! Glad that you enjoyed Helix, I was just as you blown away by it! We also seem to share the opinion that the Air Race is an awesome flat that is still a bit family friendly. Your description of the Big One at BPB got me playing with the thought that an Intamin mega coaster with a start just like Skyrush would fit perfectly in it's place. 50 degree cable lift up to 80 meters with an awesome straight forward 85 degree drop into a tight 90 degree right turn and a shitload of crazy airtime hills in the same path as the Big One now have. Maybe a stengel dive in there as well. Oh well, one can dream...
  16. ^ Me to, can't wait to visit within a few years! Here's another photo, behind the big blue water slide chamber there is a flow rider on the other side of the river Source
  17. Here's a photo, I'm very curious to what the timeline is for this project? Source
  18. This park is almost finished, and it looks really good! The Cowabunga Bay tower is not being built, instead the slides are looking like this (and they are all from Polin): It seems like the wave pool have had a soft opening Theming! Look at that awesome dueling bowl/boomerango slide! It's been a while now since Polin redesigned their line of play structures, but it's not until now that they start to pop up all over the world Source Source Source
  19. The infrastructure and landscaping is slowly coming together now, only one month left until splashdown! Here are two photos of the wave pool and river testing Source Source
  20. Looks like the energy is to make the place ready for open, and then start the construction for the big family slides. Looks awesome!
  21. What an AWESOME photo report! It makes me happy that the park I have visited most of all the parks I visited makes you this happy! How about a Gröna Lund bash in 2016 when you are here for Wildfire?! I know we could collect a lot of people! About the cruise, 1. Corona is actually one of the most popular beers over here, and it's generally quite expensive... 2. The ship you sailed with is actually, along with her sister ship, the first ship in the world to incorporate the promenade walkway in the middle of the ships. It's also the only two ships in the world who have the promenade walkway open all the way up and covered with a glass roof (I'm not sure if you noticed that). It's really fire dangerous, and they are operating on exemption and can never be sold or moved. None of the big cruisers in RCCL can have that (except of course the Oasis ship, but they are fully open). The ship is also, again along with her sister, two of the oldest ships operating between Sweden and Finland and Estonia. They are still by far the best and most unique. They were all built during the happy 80s when this area was like a middle Caribbean for us Scandinavian people. The came the 90s recession and all the ships suddenly got much more realistic (read boring).
