  1. Looks like you had the time of your life up there!
  2. Looks like Plopsa's big investments in this park is paying off! Attendance is up by 17% this year, to 645.000, much tanks to Sky Scream but also due to the new overall atmosphere of the park. Since the park was taken over by Plopsa in 2010 the attendance have gone straight up with 47%(!). For 2015 a new family attraction will open on the site of the HUSS Condor ride, Sky Scream's theme will be finished and Expedition Geforce will get some kind of a station. Source
  3. If that's the case then It really should be getting Vekoma trains IMO, wheel boogies have not really been a strong side of KumbaK. I wonder if there is someone else who would be interested in manufacturing trains for SLC's, Premier comes to mind.
  4. The park have been in a pretty boring phase of construction these last months. It's impossible to do any big construction works in this soil during the rainy season (May-October). The construction is now back in focus of the interesting things, and the wave pool and river is being poured and should be finished soon. They will also start with the family raft ride, mat racer and big bowl slide fairly soon. Opening is expected in time for the high season 2015, which could mean somewhere around September-November. Looks like they had to use a lot of trucks for this.. The soil here is probably not the easiest to work with if you are building a water park. Source
  5. Well everything is pretty much done now, just waiting for 2015 to come! Source
  6. Great photos from a great park! The awesome thing about the wild mouse ride is that it's leaving!
  7. The new trains will probably be by KumbaK, that way they can keep the old Vekoma chassis.
  8. I had a 6-flip ride on Insane a few years ago, that's probably the most intense coaster moment of my life. Otherwise I would say Vertigo aka "Plane on a stick". I had a couple of grey out on that ride...
  9. Loopen at Tusenfryd I hope, but they probably keep that thing until the end of time...
  10. The Chance version have the huge advantage of being cheaper if built in the US, due to not having to deal with shipping and import rules. I'm guessing that we will see several new Chance mini hypers in the US during the next years, and maybe if you are lucky someone will buy the Intamin version within the next 10 years.
  11. I agree with GwaziBSRider1, that's Fahrenheit.
  12. lol, this was my first thought as well!
  13. ^ Yup, but the concept is still real, and I imagine that Mack is working hard to sell it asap (and I'm guessing that's what they have done with this new for 2016 water ride).
  14. And I wanna watch you hug them
  15. Tivoli have finally gotten a building permission for it's expansion toward the street (remember that this dosen't really have anything with rides to do). Personally I hate it, as I think it will ruin the classic feel of Tivoli, but if they like it I suppose they know what they are doing. Still no news about the new for 2015 rides. Source
  16. Hey, I actually guessed right this time (it was pretty easy this time though)! It is a replacment for the haunted house and it will be called, as revealed in the anagram, House of Nightmares. It will be made by Sally, which is totally awesome! Gröna Lund homepage info
  17. Right next to the part about the water ride for 2016 it says that they also have a brad new coaster type for Europe, this would make me say that it does not confirm that the new ride will be a new water ride concept, it just might be. As for the new world first water ride, I think it have something to do with this:
  18. FINALLY Sweden gets an awesome halloween event at a park! This is totally awesome!!
  19. I'm guessing a barrel roll/flatspin to the left.
  20. A wing coaster is not a gimmicky coaster, they are a new type of coaster that offers a very different experience compared to regular roller coasters. The Premier drifting coaster is an example of a gimmicky coaster.
  21. Well from what I remember they do sell a lot of fast passes at Thorpe, I remember having to wait for most of the rides around 20 min even with a fast pass, and even more for Colossus.
  22. I did Thorpe Park 3 years ago during the Halloween event (regular weekday) and the fast pass would have been extremely needed. Saw was a 100 minute queen, Colossus 120 minutes etc.. I bought single fast passes for the coasters (they had staff selling them at the entrance of each ride) but in the end I should have just bought the real one. We did get the fast pass for the scare mazes in the evening, which was also just as needed as they had insane lines. Can't answer if it's still that popular during Fright Nights, also remember that the big crowds starts arriving during the afternoon, so it may seem quiet earlier in the day. Some local may chip in here and give you some more recent experience
  23. ^ That was actually funny, lol!
  24. I've done quite a few of them now, someone who haven't done so many feel free to take it!
