  1. Pipeline - The Surf Coaster Media Day today! Check out our multi-angle video of the ride... I actually thought the 'gimmick' of the bouncing worked way better than I thought it would. I will say, the ride was not 'fluffy' friendly as we saw quite a few people getting kicked off.

  2. It's the Curse of the Curse of DarKastle! I'm meeting a friend there this afternoon to give it a try. We'll see how it goes. I read on Twitter yesterday that they were still working on the preshow room, too.

  3. @SharkTumsIt looks like a lot of fun! I was never a big hater of stand-ups (either the B&M or Togo varieties) in the past and actually enjoyed them; hopefully this model does well for B&M and spreads.

  4. Found a couple of new photos posted, about the Arendelle Slidin' Sleighs Coaster. (Thanks to whoever took these shots) The first photo show AAs (I think?) of Sven and Olaf, and what is probably how you get up the Lift Hill. They help pull you up. Second shot is off the track itself, winding in and out of a very real looking bunch of rock and greenery, heh. This is the (literal) carrot Sven needs to pull us up that hill. Hopefully, Olaf gets his nose back. 'Round and 'round the sleighs go. Everything is looking great, there. I love Disney Imagineers' Landscaping!

  5. If you want extreme rides and don't want to queue for hours then I would suggest Nagashima Spaland. If it is busy they offer a skip the line pass for some of the bigger rides.

  6. TDS: crazy busy . yes. but absolutely the best theme park in the world. fully immersive with some incredible rides (20,000 leagues, Journey to the Center of the Earth, a very unique version of Tower of Terror, it's just an amazing park) as for Nagashima Spaland? a do not miss. .it's a "greatest hits in the world" park. They travel and find rides they like, then bring them there. So they have an EXCELLENT RMC (Hakugei), the longest coaster in the world (Steel Dragon2000), a Manta Clone that's way intense (Acrobat), and S&S freespin that spins more than any freespin in the world (Arashi), TWO Schwarzkopf (a Looping Star and a Shuttle loop), an Ultra-Twister (last one operating in the world?), a 1st Gen Intamin Drop (Freefall), a decent mine train coaster, and a bunch of other smaller coasters. . that doesn't mention some great flats, and a walk thru haunted house thats just amazing. There's so much more than the water (ie: Spa) section of the park.

  7. Grizzly is supposed to open this weekend. Employees who have ridden it say it's great!

  8. I have a feeling it's just that first turnaround. If you take a look, there is new wood to the left of the track. I don't see it anywhere else in that picture

  10. It definitely is. I had a friend that was stationed at Pearl Harbor in the 90s and he said the #1 question he got asked when people found out he was from Ohio was if he had been to Cedar Point.

  11. Maybe, maybe not; BUT I can tell you whenever we talk to non enthusiasts about belonging to a "roller coaster club" the layman's term I usually use and traveling around to numerous theme parks, they almost always say something like "oh, have you ever heard of a place called CedarPoint", lol. I mean it's become a family inside joke. CP is definitely on the radar of the gp.

  12. ^ my best friend and his son - both of whom are NOT thrill ride people (they go with me to SWSA & SFFT, and the most extreme thing we ride is the Carousel, or sometimes Texas Stingray - which I'd compare to Gemini in size) sent me links to the media from CP Boardwalk launch. and asked me if we should plan a trip for August. so there you go. the Boardwalk area attracted a non-CP park goer (tho I can't claim it was the wild mouse - it was probably just as much the flats over there, and the pavillion overlooking the great lake).

  13. Hard to tell how much was done, but could be a significant amount. Posted by SFDL socials.

  14. It's part of the entire experience. Otherwise, it's just another (really good) park. OK, so GTFO.

  15. I mean, the reduction of early entry rides is a big hit and kind of sucks, but they don't have to offer anything so at least being able to get in and get to the ride you want before the GP is helpful. And like others have said, new mouse credit!?!? lol
