Otherwise they would have just purchased plastic horses and put the damn thing back.
i'm surprised they didn't' drop a cheapie carousel into one of the many open spaces in the park just to HAVE ONE while they did the extended restoration.
but yeah, a true restoration can take years.
I'm a Carousel fan (my favorite flat), if you don't recall. I don't care how long it takes, as long as they do it correctly.
but yeah, they should have temporarily brought in a carnival version to give the smaller kids something to ride for a few seasons.
