Yes, both the Springhill Suites on site and the Comfort Inn across the road from the parking lot are good, affordable, and within walking distance to the front gate.2 points

Argument? I see a panel of experts conducting a serious investigation.2 points

Well, for what it's worth, I was stapled both times. My experience with the ride also had nothing to do with me sliding around a seat or anything, it's being spun in random positions and just the awkwardness of the entire thing. I don't mind this on a top spin or something controlled like X2, but the nature of what these freespins do with the magnetics to 'kick things off' isn't for me. The train/restraint itself is fine, no issue there with comfort. It's just what the thing does that sucks.1 point

It looks like something you'd build in RCT after ingesting your drug of choice.1 point

Springhill is closest and the official hotel. Comfort Inn at the park is also an easy walk. All others are across a fairly busy 5+ lane road. Springhill is newer and nicer, but the Comfort Inn has always been fine for us. Comfort Inn is directly next to a gas station and Wendys that can be helpful at night after the park closes, too.1 point

If you look realllllyy closely from the road (grab some binoculars), you may find a surprise on the death turn... just a tiny portion of the ride... but it's a start...1 point

Confirmed: Both Tremors AND Timber Terror are receiving 208 ReTraK this off-season! Doesn't look like any profiling changes are happening, just the track replacement. Really looking forward to this, as the ReTraK on Tremors made a world of a difference on the helix. Should be good! Oh...and Stunt Pilot is getting a new shade structure for it's queue...maybe? (Whoot! Whoot!) Didn't post it, but the park previously announced that they have hired a couple from Nashville to re-do the train show this year, which is really exciting! They also will have a new show in the High Moon Saloon this year, which should be fun! Only 24 days left till opening day!1 point

The trick with free-spins is to staple yourself so you can't move around too much. Once I started doing that I began to enjoy them. I don't love them but I'll ride them if I'm in the mood. The good thing about them is they're all really short. The missus, who is iffy on a lot of rides/coasters absolutely loves them. The one @ SFNE is my favorite so far, it just ran well and I was in the mood for it when we rode. I generally skip ours @ GreatAdv, for the same reason I skip Superman most of the time - we just have better coasters.1 point

Yes, I absolutely love them. They're friggin wacky and I hit the brakes with an ear-to-ear grin every time. No ride has ever made me scream with terror and laughter as much as a freespin.1 point

Why allow the machine to operate with the restraint that far up? You have to be exceeding the limit in that case. If the ops "got a green light" I just don't see it being their fault. Still seems like this is a poorly engineered variation of their standard model and that is what caused him to slip out.1 point

Picture from Vekoma's Instagram of the tilt track sections. Interesting that the caption mentions four tilt coasters. We know of this, Energylandia's and Six Flags Qiddiya, but not sure yet where the fourth is going. Maybe China? Or maybe Energylandia's getting two, just because it's Energylandia and that's the kind of thing they do.1 point

And...here's (allegedly) the layout for Circuit Breaker! No clue how accurate it is...but supposedly it's straight from the park to ACE. (Images from ACE South Central's Facebook) Now THAT looks like a solid layout to me! None of that "anticipation turn" garbage... I agree with everyone else though...the more I hear about this place...the weirder it seems to get... Also, they put these images out on April Fools day so maybe we should all take them with a grain boulder of salt?1 point

I find it ironic that a morbidly obese person is complaining about circumstances being deadly, as if she hasn't looked at the deadly health consequences of her actions. The newest movement is referring to thin/fit/healthy people as entitled or privileged. #1 leading cause of death in America: Heart Disease. Talk about "deadly." Although I'm sure it's probably "someone else's fault."1 point

Oops, thanks for the correction! And yeah, still plan to try... Cant hurt! But the fact that Intamin has a height limit due to that support, which could have been designed to be non-issue, is just so... Intamin.1 point

So... what were we supposed to get excited about this season? All I read was better chicken strips and some sprucing up of front gates. Nothing seems to be near term. I'm glad they recognize Six Flags Saint Louis has enough thrills. We've been spoiled ever since Boomerang.1 point
