  1. If it has that result, I won't complain.

  2. All these changes because some dude went viral for eating every meal for the last 4 years at Six Flags for $150/year lol. Next time you get a deal that's too good to be true don't tell everyone in the world about it.

  3. "Simplified" At the end of the day... this. Most of us already have memberships, so this won't impact us at all aside from having to deal with more and more confusion from employees as time goes by using any of the perks.

  4. Here is the part anyone actually gives a shit about: As long as I can keep paying my $3.99 a month to get into any SF park w/ free parking I'm good.

  5. Wait... people honestly think that that one article hipped SF to the fact that they were bleeding money from memberships/dining plans?

  6. A broken clock has to be right eventually... It's getting pretty weird how long WOF has gone without a new major attraction, and I am pretty sure the park does OK attendance wise. There is certainly the population for it, so even if their numbers haven't been great that's all the more reason to give the park a jump start. SDC has been so packed during parts of the year that they regularly have to turn people away. SDC has added two major coasters, a massive kids area, a huge water ride, and several other things since the last time WOF got a coaster.

  7. Bro, Skull Mountain doesn't need heat because Skull Mountain IS heat.

  8. Montu reopens the 18th or 19th. Sheikra is also closed the entire month of February. Kumba’s belts are shorter than Montu and Sheikra. Cheetah Hunt also has shorter belts than other rides with the same restraints like Kingda Ka.

  9. Montu absolutely has the B&M "Big Boy" seat option avail. so she should be fine with no issues - but DO NOTE. . it's temporarily closed for scheduled rehab. Think it's back open in Late Feb: https://buschgardens.com/tampa/roller-coasters/montu/

  10. The B&Ms have big boy seats. If she's used those before, same here. (OTS with 2 seatbelts) Cheetah Chase and Cobras Curse can be a tight fit. Think most rides have testers.

  11. I'm all for WoF getting a new coaster, I just hope they go a little more original this time. Mamba is 90% a clone of Steel Force and Patriot is 90% a clone of Talon. Great rides, no question about that, but unless it's a wooden coaster they tend to do the "Hey, let me copy your homework. I'll change it up a little so the teacher doesn't know" method.

  12. "Management hates this park! We never get anything good! We always get the short end of the schtick! We have a growing metro area and are overdue for a new original coaster, why doesn't Six Flags get it! We are an original Six Flags park, we deserve better! Our competition gets it and is going bonkers, why can't we have what they have! They should sell the park to some bozo who still won't care about it! All we get are dark rides, new entrance plazas, and "throwbacks"! All the park really needs is a record breaking giga-strata, launched, looping coaster and it will make boatloads of money, and be the number one park in the chain! Why does Six Flags only put money into big parks? The park is in a growing metro area, we should be getting all kinds of stuff! Just look at Carowinds..." There, saved them the trouble...

  13. I don't really see how dining plans ever made sense. I'm sure they made a profit on them from a select few people, but in most cases the people with those plans were likely either going to pay for their food each time otherwise in which case they would have made more money, or lived nearby and abused them like crazy. I can't even count the number of times I was going up the Nitro lift in the dead of winter in a dead park looking at a steady stream of people coming in an hour before close. You know all of those people were just coming to get free food, spend $0 and leave... in many cases with their food in to-go boxes.

  14. I hoped so, but you're not the first person I've seen post this in the last few days...

  15. I'm as amused by the discussions I've seen elsewhere about how SF raising prices by so much is to help keep the riff-raff out, and to help restrict how many unsupervised teens are in the parks. yeah.. THAT'S why.

  16. from what I've heard (from a very reliable sources) that *this* particular cut is 100% due to staffing issues. . . . now how much of that is impacted by people quitting in anger over what's been going on lately in particular at SFOT? I'd be really curious to hear. but yeah. . this is staffing reasons, and I suspect if they are able to get staffing back up, those hours will get added back to Feb weekends. It sure does seem like new Upper Mgmt has it out for this park tho, doesn't it? we need those SFStL thread folks over here to post about how much "Mgmt *HATES* this park!)

  21. Great footage! Such a great ride. Stoked for the new purple paint (because the world needs more purple coasters) and can't wait to ride this again!

  23. You should 100% buy a membership with dining as part of the membership (not purchased separately) now and get grandfathered in. Anyone considering this at-all would be crazy not to buy a membership ASAP.

  25. ^I heard the new management is going bold and they got a big statue of a middle finger to go there instead of the Batmobile. It is going to block the path they put in last season so everyone has to use the old one.

  26. Agreed. Thanks to that, I was totally spoiler free for my first ride and I was totally surprised by that fourth drop track. Did. Not. See. That. Coming...
