CoasterCrazy
I would be going on the Japan trip if it wasn't during the fall semester. I'm going on the Midwest trip and I will probably go on the Spain trip if it doesn't cost tons of money.
mcjaco
I'm anxiously awaiting details on the Midwest Trip as it's close to home and the prices I've seen in past trips seem to be quite reasonable. Â Can August come too soon???
ECZenith
2 weeks in Japan sounds like an awesome plan. Lots of unique little parks and of course the place I've always wanted to see - Disney Sea/TDR. Looking forward to hearing the details in August, time to start saving...
benzo41190
A mid-west trip is the only trip I could do....well for next year at least. I mean I dont want to spend so much money on a over sea trip when a closer, more affordable trip can be just as fun. Â If the trip will be under $2,000 total..Im in for a mid-west trip! CaseyFish
^I am with you on that one Lou, Spain/Italy and the midwest trip are both on my list for definate. Esspecially the midwest trip, because I have never been out there. Next year I could hit the 200+ coaster mark! But these trips are not only about the coasters but also the people you meet. I learned alot on this last trip, I learned that porn and crisps go together very well esspecially at the back of the bus, Fanboys are Elissa's favorite people, and the picture of Lou on avalanche at blackpool sold the most pictures ever! niiicolaaah
Right now I'll say 75% chance of me going to Spain depending on the cost. 0% chance of Japan, and if I want to go to the midwest i'll just hop in my car and go. Â BOTBC should arrange their own trip some time
Louise
^^^^ Yeah, see that's the thing, I'd love to go on the Japan trip just because I know how much fun it will be because of the way Robb and Elissa do things, and the fact that the people will probably be awesome. But there's really no point in paying that kind of money (as inexpensive as the Alveys make things, Japan will still be pricey) unless I'm really hyped up about the parks... We'll see, I might change my mind if I win the lotto. Casino next week maybe! Â We need to start a "What I learned on the UK Trip thread" Casey... benzo41190
WOW! With all the interest of the Mid-West trip. Will there only be 50 spots available? Those spots will fill fast!
Reon
Like I said, I'll atleast be around for the OH leg. If I can find the funds and save a spot, I'll try to stick around for the rest. I'd love to go back to the Dells... I think it's important to point out that we are not planning on "piecing out" the trips. Which means if you're on the trip, you're on the ENTIRE trip with us. Since we are limiting the amount of spots on each trip to one coach, which means about 50 people per trip, the park perks are only available to those members. We might make a few exceptions, but it will not be a public invite.  Just like on our recent UK Trip, if someone wanted to meet up with us for the day, that was fine, but there was no guarantee that they would be allowed into the ERT sessions.  If we allowed people to show up for the day and join into the ERT sessions, then there would be the potential for hundreds of people to turn up, and that's not exactly the point of our trips nor is it fair to those who paid the entire trip cost.  Our goal is to have trips on a smaller, more personal scope, and to do them more frequently. This is a very different approach to other "club trips" but then again, I think that's what is going to set our trips apart.  I hope this makes more sense to everyone.  --Robb  I just made that comment because of where I live and the limited space...I'd love to join in for the whole thing. Just don't know how many slots will be left after the bus gets invaded by the UK-ers...
robbalvey
WOW! With all the interest of the Mid-West trip. Will there only be 50 spots available? Those spots will fill fast! Yes, there will only be 50 spots. We really don't want to over sell a trip and end up with 200 people waiting during ERT which really is just EWT - Exclusive Waiting Time. Â Those who were on the UK Trip can tell you that our ERTs were *REAL* ERTs, something that isn't as common lately. Â It was one of the things that annoyed us the most on the 2002 ECO trip that with 250 people, some ERTs had longer lines that during normal park hours. IMO, that's not what an ERT should be like. robbalvey
Just don't know how many slots will be left after the bus gets invaded by the UK-ers... Should be quite a few considering that I don't think all 53 people from the UK trip will be able to go on all three trips, some of them might not be able to go on any. Â One of the reasons we decided to offer multiple trips next year was to give the members from the UK trip an opprotunity to spread out a bit so others would have the chance to take one of our trips. CaseyFish
^^^ Lou GREAT IDEA!!!! Louise
^ Put it in the UK forum. ParkTrips
^ Remember, it took A MONTH to fill the UK trip, I don't know, I just don't see it being some massive mailbox influx! Â If not - a fight to the death. Â And also, on future trips, I'll be starting a Sad And Pathetic People Sat Mostly In Middle Of The Bus Or Wherever The Hell Is Free By The Time I Get Out Of Bed Club. Â LOL!! You just gave me an awesome mental image of you, half asleep, still slightly hung-over, walking swiftly to the bus because you can't quite coordinate oneself to run full-speed, all in an effort to get to the bus on time and not be left behind, only to get on the bus to find the lone remaining open seat next to Barry, upon the discovery of which you let out a huge sigh. Â But this trip is so close for many TPR members. The trip isn't as long, no airfare for many people, and will be cheaper. That means that there will be a bigger interest in this trip vs. the over seas trips.
robbalvey
^ Don't under estimate the amount of over seas members we have that might also be interested in this trip. Â At the end of the day, our plan is to keep doing more and more trips. Smaller scope, more frequently. That's the goal. So if you couldn't get into one of our three trips in 2007, perhaps we'll have four trips in 2008, or five trips in 2009, etc, etc.... CaseyFish
^^^ Lou didn't have to sit next to Barry, but yeah the people that were in the back of the bus were always arriving last, but what is funny is by the end of the trip some of the people in the front of the bus began to migrate to the back, and what happened to them, they were SHUNNED...LOL. Â Yeah Lou I will start that soon, I just what to do a couple of other things first..
Cameron
Those who were on the UK Trip can tell you that our ERTs were *REAL* ERTs, something that isn't as common lately.
