mike541x Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Wow that was a horrible design. Those judges must be blind. Who gives a $100,000 dollars to a 10 year old with that roller coaster. And yes there does need to be more scenery.
DATman Posted May 30, 2006 Author Posted May 30, 2006 Maybe they felt sorry for the kid who built the "blue kangaroo" (What a rubbish name...)
mike541x Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 Maybe they felt sorry for the kid who built the "blue kangaroo" (What a rubbish name...) Yeah that is a dumb name.
ParkTrips Posted May 30, 2006 Posted May 30, 2006 (What a rubbish name...) Â dood you're not British, you can't use that term! Â This was a contest that Hershey put on, no? I can totally buy it, I mena look how fucked up the layouts of, say, Great Bear and Storm Runner are. Hopefully the coaster would be more interesting than the first.. though I doubt it. Â Hershey rocks, screw you Mrs. TUMZ.
Guest Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 to be perfecly honest I think its the biggest pile of garbage i've ever seen and if we get any of these people saying "lets see if you can do better" muhahahahaha watch and learn
timetrial3141592 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I made a Steel Looping coaster with 16 inversions, all packed into a small area. It had one lift, and took $24,982 to build.
coasterbuzz36763 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I made a better ride with one lift and seven inversions in a small compact layout.
Guest Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 same here, I could do better with one lift and 5 inversions, called airtime hills, helixes and alot of twist and turns, but as I said before that coaster is rubbish and its also a insult to all rct3 gamers
trustkill22 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Damn! Â If that kid can win than we should all be getting $100,000 and be considered the best artist in the world. Â I sord of have money that Atari will put that model into they're next game
bovinejumpsuit Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 can you explain why a runner up prize was a copy of rct3 when you have to have it to build the ride???
zburns999 Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 ^No you don't. You were supposed to download some sort of demo version from the contest site, hence the reason there is no scenery.
music11 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 That coaster was crap. My coaster was so much better and probably everyone elses was better. I dont see what they were looking for in this coaster that made it win. This totally blows and putso much time in to my coaster that kid probably made it in 10 minutes now i know to never enter a rollercoaster contest and spend so much time on it. Anyways this kid will never have potential to become a coaster designer.
benzo41190 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 whats this kids e-mail address!!!!!! Â SEND HIM A LINK TO "NO LIMITS"
jason10 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Better. Send him a link to this thread. LOL I think he would be horrified if he actualy saw all of the crap coments he has. I think we should send this thread to the judges aswell to see how much of a mistake they made. Hahahahahahahaha
ShoubraStreet74 Posted June 3, 2006 Posted June 3, 2006 Better. Send him a link to this thread. Â That sucks. I bet he would be scarred for life.
dragoncoaster1292 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 This is truly insulting. If that smoldering pile of monkey feces can win $100,000, then we should all be getting private jets and at least $4,000,000, 5,000,000 to people like zburns and kennywood for making such awesome parks. That sounds about fair to me. My eyes started tearing with sadness when I first saw this "coaster". I mean seriously, a Vekoma megalooper with 4 loops, only 1 corkscrew, and a barrel roll? Barrel rolls aren't even on Vekomas! And three lift hills on an adult roller coaster? That's not going to happen any time soon. That roller coaster is less real than Dolly Parton. Either that kid's crap coaster was the only entrant in the contest, or that he's the son of one of the big Hershey executives. Thank you for reading this rant about crappy coasters and kids who don't deserve the money that they get. Have a nice day.
the sound Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 Better. Send him a link to this thread. And someone post a link to NL at the end of the thread so he has to read it all! MUWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
zburns999 Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 That roller coaster is less real than Dolly Parton Nice!
sbpkspider Posted June 4, 2006 Posted June 4, 2006 my grandad has coughed up better rollercoasters than that
timetrial3141592 Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 I just got a prize for spending a week on a coaster. It is a coupon for a candy bar that costs less than 80 cents. I am going to hunt down the asshole who took my prze and then SuperGlue him to the backseat of Manhattan Express. Do you have any suggestions on how to torture the person who took the prize that someone else deserves?
weeow Posted June 9, 2006 Posted June 9, 2006 blue kangaroo? blue kangaroo?!? i know a nine year old who makes really good compact layouts that are so much better than 10 mph 90 degree banked turns and 3 lift hills. how did that kid win? i wish he could see of you guys' work.
sickskillz14 Posted June 10, 2006 Posted June 10, 2006 My guess is the judges are 7 year old's that liked the name blue kangaroo, because honestly, that is one of the worst "coasters" i have ever seen in my life. He has to be the son of someone who is up there in the Hershey Company. I wouldn't be surprised if they held another contest and some kid made a B&M hyper with 4 lifts and 1 airtime hill and won the $100,000.
