01. Aftershock - It may eventually turn out to be nothing more than a sentimental favorite, but so far I haven't had any rides that would call for demoting it. Definitely has some "shock" value on that first climb and drop!

02. Favorite Batman

03. Montu

04. Volcano - In print it may seem to have some shortcomings, but in practice there's really nothing wrong with it. Along with great forces are fun elements you don't often find in full-circuit inverts, like launches and theming.

05. Flight Deck - Extreme positive G's combine with one of the better settings for a uniquely fun experience.

Not surprisingly, a slew of B&M inverts follows that before anything else. Rounding out my top 5 for those is Alpengeist with its intensity, scenic setting and thoughtful theming; and Talon, which just seemed to do everything right.

I have to go with Nemesis at Alton Towers as the best of the bunch--a forceful, nicely themed ride with a very eccentric layout--with Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa in second place.

Nemesis closely followed by Montu. Montu only loses out because its blocking ruins its pace and progression and Nemesis' location in the ground is just immense!

No love for Nemesis inferno however, interlocking corkscrews are only good to look at...

I love that about Montu actually.

It kind of meanders a bit, then dives to get a burst of speed for the corkscrew finale.

Montu makes my knees weak! BEST. INVERTED. EVER.

1) Alpengeist - Rode this last week. That was easily the most intense coaster I've ever been on.

2) V2 @ SFDK - Haters gonna hate

3) Flight Deck @ CGA - Quite intense for its small size.

4) SLCs (Kong for me) - Ouch.

Tough call between Alpengeist and Raptor but I'll go with Alpengeist for being a little more original. Raptor's a very close second though.

My sentiments exactly!

I'm a Raptor diehard and veteran and did my first BGW trip just recently... Alpie is so damn fast!
