coasterguy618
I remember when I was younger I used to always be scared of the dragon head on Dragon Wagon coasters. Whenever there was a Dragon Wagon coaster I would always ignore it and look the other way.
Angry_Gumball
2 words: Dragon Wagon. I'd always ride them at the fair when I was little, and my next coaster would have to be the one they had at the Oakland Zoo when I was really young (Not Tiger Express). ebl
My mom claims that I rode the Cyclone Racer at the old Long Beach Pike, but I don't remember that. (But if I did ride it, I sure wish I'd have remembered!) The Matterhorn at Disneyland is the first coaster I do remember. And I used to be really scared of it. lapseofreason
The first coaster I remember riding was the Corkscrew at Geauga Lake; I think I was 8 or 9. (I do remember riding a few flats when I was 4, though).
AznShortBoi8021
I remember riding Runaway Mine Train at SFGAdv when I was four years old. I was scared s***less. After getting off, I wanted ride it again.
rollermonkey
(Showing my age...) I remember riding the old kiddy steel coaster at Canobie Lake Park in the mid 70's. Can't remember the name or type, just where it was in the park. I also remember white knuckling the railing in the queue for Yankee Cannonball about the same time trying to keep my parents and cousins from getting me on the big scary woodie! Bubba Z
^ actually your avatar shows your age J/K This is kind of like "what's you first coaster" I remember riding Jack Rabbit at CLP. My brother and I would ride all day long. That first drop was so Huge back then. Now when I drive pass the park, it just rot's away. It's OK, Larry made up for it by installing J2. waterviper
^Not really! It's about coaster memories... for example: For me one of my first roller coaster memorys was when I was a wee little lad and me mum took me to SFMM. I remember seeing the loop of Revolution and thought "OMG that thing is huge and scary!! No way am I ever going to ride that thing!!" Heck I was even reluctant to ride the kiddy coaster!! Hehe But as for the first coaster ridden... well big coasters (excluding kiddy coasters).... was Matterhorn. I was freakishly scared of that too because of hearing the yetis roars coming from the mountain! Then one day I just thought heck I am gona ride this darn thing. I was instantly hooked after that. But was still afraid to ride Space Mountain! I finally rode that about a year later lol!!
runningqwerty
My first real coaster experience was sitting down to play a demo of roller coaster tycoon 1. I've been hooked ever since. Since then I've gone to Busch Gardens in Florida, Disney World (rock and roll roller coaster) Six Flags Georgia, Cedar Point, and Castles and Coasters in phoenix arizona. tinkerbell
All I can really remember is that I pretty much hated riding coasters when I was little, even though I liked watching them. When I went to Disneyland for the first time, I remember getting scared on Thunder Mountain. I also remember not wanting to ride the Matterhorn, because you could hear roaring and screaming from outside the mountain (plus I thought the snowman was going to jump out at me). Swimace
I remember riding Thnuder Mountain at The Magic Kingdom when I was little. I had a season pass to the parks when I was in pre-school, so all of my visits kind of blend together in my memory, but I do remember the first time I rode my sister came off crying and I just wanted to ride again and again. CoasterExpert13
My first BIG coaster was the Steel Phantom at Kennywood. I was 10 or 11. I was scared of it for so long, that finally I had to try it. It hurt a little but I loved it, and thats how I came to love coasters much. My very FIRST coaster was the Rollo Coaster at Idlewild park.
Luxo
One of my oldest coaster memories is going to Knotts on a cold, wet day in 1998. I remember seeing the construction for Ghostrider, and being amazed at the huge, colorful coasters engulfing the theme park (aka Windjammer, Montezooma's Revenge and Jaguar.) I only rode the train, and some rides in Camp Snoopy (which was fairly new at the time.)
