Link with a brief clip for tonights episode

Basically, tonight is the season opener for the 10th season of South Park. Its on at 10 PM on Comedy Central.

*SPOILERS*

I assume this will be Chef's last episode ever since all of the news have been popping around of Issac Hayes being pissed. Well, tonights episode is going to be about everybody making a big ruckus of Chef coming back. I wonder how Matt and Trey will kill off Chef...

END SPOILERS

So, basically, who can't wait for the season opener of South Park?

I read all about Issac Hayes leaving, due to his being offended by the Scientology episode, and thus the end of Chef...who has always been the heart of this show (Not to mention the only character NOT voiced by Matt Stone or Trey Parker.)

Ladies and Gentlemen...as of tonights episode, South Park will officially jump the shark. I guarantee it.

The article I just read in this morning's paper...

...said that "the boys" would be piecing Chef's dialogue together - from past episodes!

That's what I read, this morning...

They can try but IMO that wont work but i think its worth a try because it won't be the same with out him.

It's interesting how South Park has made fun of every single religion with no one getting mad, but yet they do scientology and yet issac gets offended. Matt and Trey aren't singling out scientology, they're just going down the whole line of religions and making fun of everyone.

Oh well, let's see what happens tonight. I can't wait.

I heard Chef didn't actually quit.. but we'll see tonight I guess

"Isaac Hayes did not quit "South Park." My sources say that someone quit it for him.

I can tell you that Hayes is in no position to have quit anything. Contrary to news reports, the great writer, singer and musician suffered a stroke on Jan. 17. At the time it was said that he was hospitalized and suffering from exhaustion.

It’s also absolutely ridiculous to think that Hayes, who loved playing Chef on "South Park," would suddenly turn against the show because they were poking fun at Scientology.

Last November, when the “Trapped in a Closet” episode of the comedy aired, I saw Hayes and spent time with him in Memphis for the annual Blues Ball.

If he hated the show so much, I doubt he would have performed his trademark hit song from the show, “Chocolate Salty Balls.” He tossed the song into the middle of one of his less salacious hits and got the whole audience in the Memphis Pyramid to sing along.

I can tell you, Hayes was very pleased with himself, was in a great mood and, as always, loved his fans' coming up to him and asking him about Chef."

AV Club: They did just do an episode that made fun of your religion, Scientology. Did that bother you?

Hayes: Well, I talked to Matt [stone] and Trey [Parker] about that. They didn't let me know until it was done. I said, 'Guys, you have it all wrong. We're not like that. I know that's your thing, but get your information correct, because somebody might believe that [expletive], you know?' But I understand what they're doing. I told them to take a couple of Scientology courses and understand what we do. [Laughs.]

I admit the chef has had some classic and funny moments..(more so in the early shows) but he has practically been non-existant in these last few seasons...I do not think it will make that much of a difference.

but I cannot wait for more Southpark, I just bought season 7 onDVD yesterday and will be watching those soon too

You know, part of me can't help but think that Matt and Trey were really stretching with this one, but another part of me couldn't stop laughing at all the ridiculous stuff going on.

Don't forget the episode where the bus driver was killed by the guy who murders people and takes their left hand.

^Yeah, but she was an ancillary character (and I'm using a vocab word I learned off South Park! Oh well, proving that South Park is the smartest show on TV right now ). Chef was by far a more popular character.

And last nights episode was well put together and Chef died like a man. I also liked the attack on Scientology with the backstory of the Super Adventure Club.

I know she was very much in the background, but Mrs. Crabtree the bus driver was one of my favorite characters (behind Butters of course.....)
