Erik Johnson Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 LOL!!!!!! I get made fun of that jacket all the time. But, I don't care! It still keeps me warm and I am too cheap to buy a new jacket.
Imhotep Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 You guys laugh, but what you dont realize is on that jacket there is plenty of acerage for Coaster patches. Im so jealous.
PhishyBrewer Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 ^Don and I were just talking about that on phone. Now... if Erik could just gain 75 pounds or so.
DerekRx Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 You guys gotta remember, Erik lives in Florida, where he uses a jacket like 4 days a year. 1982-2006, 24 years at 4 days a year = 96 days total. That's less than I wear a jacket in a season! He's just trying to get his moneys worth. I'm sure Erik will get a new jacket (or break out the bedazzler on it soon!) he's probably just waiting for the ThemeParkReview jacket to come out. I hear it will be the finest letterman's jacket, and Erik's will even come with the moderator accent!
Erik Johnson Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 ^Don and I were just talking about that on phone. Now... if Erik could just gain 75 pounds or so. OK everyone now send me a bunch of candy!!! Also any unused patches if you like.
PhishyBrewer Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 he's probably just waiting for the ThemeParkReview jacket to come out. Don't give Robb anymore ideas Derek.
Erik Johnson Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I do have my orange hoodie I sometimes wear. Me, my other jacket, and my favorite coaster. Well, I am not sure if coaster patches work well with this one.
PhishyBrewer Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 ^You can direct traffic in that thing Erik. Alright... everyone put in $5 bucks for the "Buy Erik a Pimp Jacket" Fund.
niiicolaaah Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hoodie does not = jacket!!!!! You crazy Floridian! I live in Buffalo, where we have four stages of jacket. Stage 1 = light spring/fall jacket, worn in April and September/October, and also on those cool summer nights. Stage 2 = fall jacket, maybe an unlined leather jacket, worn October/November. Stage 3 = winter coat. Pea coats are very popular here. Worn in December and March. Stage 4 = blizzard riot gear, worn January - February. This is also the time of year when often the only part of a Buffalonian you see is their eyes. Man, if I lived in Florida, I'd be running around in shorts and a tank top all the time.
Shockwave Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hey folks, just a quick message before I go back to bed, as I'm still running on Eastern Time. Had an amazing time out in Florida. Thankyou to everyone who put up with me, showed me around and helped me out while I was there. You know who you are! Will post a few photos soon after I recover.
quazi Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 yes, it does have a volcano theme. It has more effect at night with the smoke and lights. By the way, thier go-kart tracks kick butt. It's like 3 levels.

DerekRx Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hooray! Non German Tom made it back to Non Germany! Now you have better had ridden the front seat of Blizzrock or there will be some serious reprocussions come June. Back to the off topic at hand though, forget sending Erik money for a new pimp jacket, let's all send money to Nicole so she can move to Florida so we can check her out in shorts and tank tops all year long (especially during those cold nights!)
DerekRx Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 ^Yes, please say more. All I see is someone standing in front of Dueling Dragons. I know not who that someone is, what they are doing, or why they are doing it.
USRoadTripper Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Come on now...I think it's time that the Alvey's ponied up some more pics from the Florida weekend! -Julie
niiicolaaah Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Back to the off topic at hand though, forget sending Erik money for a new pimp jacket, let's all send money to Nicole so she can move to Florida so we can check her out in shorts and tank tops all year long (especially during those cold nights!) Excellent idea! I accept cash and personal checks. No credit cards please.
robbalvey Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 Ok, time to un-stick this. I'll try to get our TPR Florida Update done this weekend. --Robb
Shockwave Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 OK, so now that I'm back here's my story of Florida, in a few trip reports! And here's my bed, where I slept for the next 12 hours. Cypress Gardens coming up soon! Here's the hotel! And here's my ride in the States! For car buffs, it's a Pontiac G6 GT with a 3.5l V6 engine that produces 204bhp. For everyone else, it goes fast! When I left Manchester, it was about 30 degrees fahrenheit and snowing. When I landed in Orlando, it was about 80 degrees fahrenheit and sunny! And it's touchdown! Thank God! After 8 hours we reached the Florida coastline. By now I was getting tired. Yes, it's down that river somewhere... We also got pretty close to Busch Gardens Williamsburg. First UK trip person to find Fenway Park gets the first ride with me when I meet you on thr trip! We also got a fly-by of Boston. Hello Canada! Walk The Line provided most of the in-flight entertainment. And we're flying! Who needs girls when you can spend 8 hours on Hot Lips? Here's my ride to the States!
robbalvey Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 Awesome! I'll add these updates to the front page too!
cfc Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Oh, so you were responsible for that noisy jet over my house, eh? Looks like your fight path took you right over the James River.
Jeezus Juice Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 All right, I can't wait for these! Now I'll get to remember what I did that week... Hopefully you managed to get some good shots of Erik's jacket! -Don
