dougr Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 I was just wondering what is the best route to take between Disney and Knotts if your walking between the two? Has anyone ever done this before? -Jeremy Lynch P.S. < I still dont understand why people cant figure out what that is. Well, I went to MapQuest and tried "Avoid Highways" DirectionsTotal Est. Time: 14 minutes Total Est. Distance: 7.01 miles 1: Start out going NORTH on S HARBOR BLVD toward S MANCHESTER AVE. 0.3 miles 2: Turn LEFT onto W BALL RD. 4.4 miles 3: Turn RIGHT onto S BEACH BLVD / CA-39 N. 2.0 miles 4: Make a U-TURN at LA PALMA AVE onto BEACH BLVD / CA-39 S. <0.1 miles 5: End at Knott's Theme Park 8039 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90620, US I guess if you're walking, you can ignore that U turn It looks like it's possible to take transit as well-you could walk along the bus route and hop on board if you change your mind partway... Walk to HARBOR-EAST SHUTTLE AREA in ANAHEIM, stop # 218 [map this step]At 8:05 a.m., take Route 43 North. Exit bus at HARBOR-LINCOLN in ANAHEIM, stop # 225 at 8:14 a.m.. [map this step] Walk to LINCOLN-HARBOR in ANAHEIM, stop # 494, and wait for transfer. [map this step] At 8:25 a.m., take Route 42[A] West. Exit bus at CRESCENT-STANTON in BUENA PARK, stop # 804 at 8:47 a.m.. [map this step] Walk to KNOTTS BERRY FARM. [map this step]
ebl Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 Seven miles? That's about a two-hour walk for me. Eric
phazan Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 ^True. I think you will probably be too tired to walk around a theme park after 7 miles. Then you might not want to walk back.
waterviper Posted March 14, 2006 Posted March 14, 2006 Get a cab or find a bus route! That is what I would do.
Hercules Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Get a cab or find a bus route! That is what I would do. Oh come on, he wants to walk... Walk to the bus. Get on. Walk to a seat. Sit. Walk off the bus. Actually, one time that I went to Knoebels my car ran out of gas. I ended up walking about 4 miles to the nearest gas station and then the 4 miles back to my car. I then went to the park and had a great day. I wasn't tired. That was after driving the hour and a half there and then back again.
UberBeavis Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 When are you visiting? There is a bus that connects the two quite nicely - I use it to go to/from Downtown L.A. to Knotts/Disneyland and it's pretty cheap. http://mta.net/images/460.pdf - MTA 460 (The link is for the schedule)
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 The bus is the best way, unless you really wnt to walk p.s. the coaster in your avatar is Dæmonen at Tivoli Gardens.
lapseofreason Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 I wasn't aware that it was safe to walk through that area. (sorry, I'm still relatively new to LA, was just wondering)
rollermonkey Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 It's been a LONG time since the time I caught a city bus to DisneyLand, if I remember correctly, the city bus stop is at the Disneyland Hotel, right? That's pretty important to point out. Also, from that same trip, the bus stopped running pretty early, and my friend and I ended up getting kicked off Disney property and having to walk to the Greyhound station. It is a hike just to walk around the Disney perimeter!
M_Force_4_ever Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 woah, 7 miles is a bit of a walk but if your really determined I'm sure you could do it...oh and to the guy above me thats not Damion its Goliath (SFOG) helix
