PhishyBrewer Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 Bought Buddy some stuff yesteday. Even though he is a purebred show dog, is breed is also used in hunting. So I got him some Pointer friendly toys. And whatever sound a Quail makes. Quack! Quack! Aflack! Buddy's new bed and toys.
PhishyBrewer Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 I will be picking up Buddy from the airport on Jan 13th at 7pm. Expect a FULL Photo TR on this thread. STAY TUNED!!!
SharkTums Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 ^Even though I hate dogs, I'm sure that will be a really awesome Photo TR!!! Can't wait!
BelizeIt Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 ^^ Wow an Eddie Bower Dog bed, that's going to one lucky pooch! When it comes to Dog bones, I have two words for you....Nyla Bone. They are a little pricy, but they last far longer the the traditional Rawhide bones. Also, Rawhide bone get real nasty fairly quickly, whereas the Nyla Bones stay a lot cleaner.
CoasterCrazy Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I'm looking forward to the Photo TR! I didn't know that you can buy animals through the mail until I read this thread!
phazan Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 hey i love those ducks! a person who i know has one and it makes real duck sounds! they are so cool!
Hattuchili Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 I am sure buddy will be a lucky dog! You bought so many cool stuff for him, that is so nice! Now I am really looking forward to see the Photo TR! --Sören
DeliriumTrigger Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Don't feed your dog anything from diamond pet foods... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10771943/
PhishyBrewer Posted January 9, 2006 Author Posted January 9, 2006 Diamond officials say they are doing what they can to help affected pet owners. “It’s going to take some time to take care of all these customers, and we’re going to do it,” said the company’s chief operating officer, Mark Brinkmann. Diamond has promised to reimburse pet owners for vet bills and other costs associated with the aflatoxin poisoning, which officials now believe may include pets in Europe and other areas outside the country where the food is distributed. How do you pay off someone that lost a member of their family?
coasterguy618 Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 That is a sweet dog! I want a dog like that!
Nrthwnd Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Do you have a 'special beer' ready to hoist and toast, for the Celebratory Arrival of your new family member? The "The Buddy Brew", heh heh. I'm sure you do and will have one on hand for such a great occasion, but I thought I'd ask.
PhishyBrewer Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 ^I've been so busy with the move and all, and now with Buddy coming. The only beer I have is the free crap I get from work.
Nrthwnd Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 Well maybe at 7pm PST, or an hour or so later, when you get him home, we'll all have a brew, in our respecitive homes, for Buddy's Happy Arrival! I will go to our local gov't liquor store (beer and wine too, that's how our province operates things currently, sadly) and pick out a particular beer I haven't tried, get a six pack of it, bring it home and on Friday.... A Toast To the Bud! OMG - I just realized - is this a coincidence that dog 'happens' to be named Buddy... as in Bud-weiser? Noooooo....
PhishyBrewer Posted January 10, 2006 Author Posted January 10, 2006 OMG - I just realized - is this a coincidence that dog 'happens' to be named Buddy... as in Bud-weiser? Noooooo.... Alright... you really need to put down the pipe. I think you spent a little to much time in Amsterdam.
Nrthwnd Posted January 10, 2006 Posted January 10, 2006 ^ (giggle) ^ anyway... Will still get the six-pack, mmm'k?
PhishyBrewer Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 Buddy's flight plans have changed. He is coming in tonight instead of tomorrow. YEAH!!!
CoasterJunkie Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Congrats on the new pup... He is such a handsome fellow....Look forward to the report of his homecoming...which should be soon
PhishyBrewer Posted January 12, 2006 Author Posted January 12, 2006 I feel so nervous... I fell like the day Gavin was born. I hope I got everything he needs. I hope he likes me.
Hattuchili Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 ^ I am sure everything will be okay, Wally! --Sören
coasterfreak101 Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 What time is he coming? I want to see him after the flight! Hope you all have a great time with him, I love my puppy
Coaster Palooza Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 ^^^What's not to like my friend? Everything will be great, the dog will jump on you and lick your face up and down!
4718 Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I hope he likes me. Maybe you could win him over with some beer? Don't think underage drinking applies to dogs........
Teddymonster Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 I feel so nervous... I fell like the day Gavin was born. I hope I got everything he needs. I hope he likes me. Dude, WTF? Of course he'll like you.
Nrthwnd Posted January 13, 2006 Posted January 13, 2006 Now that we're getting to the Arrival Hour a day early - will head out and get myself a nice six pack of something "special" in a brew. That, and a mickie of good dark (arrrrr) RUM, too, LOLOL!
