Rideslover
Oh well, at least I got the rarer Vegas credit--Lightning Bolt--in its original incarnation. Yes me too! I miss that so much. I'm glad to hear that the Lightning Bolt is going to live again! Did you remember when Lightning Bolt was inside at the end was a "flyby" over the Las Vegas Strip? Yes, that i rode the Lightning Bolt. Well also i did rode the High Roller and Hot Shot on the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas with my friend on 2000 that was so fun. High Roller had been cut metal scrapped but they can't take the construction crane to the Stratosphere Tower but they already cut a small piece of the red track and take the reach small track into elevator have fit and take it down to the lower level and they put on the parking lot. Lightning Bolt is now save and already take off shipped to Granite Park so you can look at lightning bolt track on the ground in Fresno, CA here link. www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42528 I glad you like to see the Lightning Bolt in Fresno? Hand 0f Time
Wouldn't take make you pee your pants breaking apart the coaster with the burning tool. Just imagine breaking the part, then all the sudden have the ride wobble from the gravity of the coaster piece crashing, then you slip and fall... and fall... and fall. God, I'm scared already. Gonna miss that ride.
Mr Stratosphere
I also remember the original name "Let It Ride-High Roller", named after the popular, and patented game, which later removed their name off the ride due to it's lameness. Big Shot was also my 1st S&S, and in my opinion, is STILL the best one. Turbo-Drop at Stateline sucked in comparison. I remember that as well lol. Let It Ride.. I believe the name was changed after they took the 2 cars off of the train. When the name was changed they also painted the trains yellow so it could be seen from the ground. Big Shot was also my first S&S Shot tower. I believe that the first generation shot towers are the best. (The ones that only have the cables on the top) John An Idea of the old paint scheme. This is what I found funny about this advertisement of the ride. First there are no OTSRs and second the train is traveling in the wrong direction lol. Credit: Joyrides.com This is shortly after the painting of the trains. Notice the OTSRs have no padding. Head banging was a huge problem then. Credit: rcdb.com You can see the cushions on the OTSRs which helped a bit. I remember working up there and standing on the ledge like that. I loved it! And the following were a couple of concept pictures of the "Arrow Fishhook."
