PhishyBrewer
With the new house, we want a new vaccum. Were looking at Dyson's right now. So far everything I've heard is good. Does anyone own one? What do you think? http://www.dyson.com/
Bush985
We use those at Best Buy to clean the store at night. Pretty good vacume. I like it too because it swivels and moves at different angles making things easier to pick up in wierd locations. Go for it! -RD
PhishyBrewer
What I really shoud ask is... is it really worth the $500?
Wes
My girlfriend was borrowing one from a friend. I got to try it out. So after I vacuumed a little, I took out the bin and accidently opened it all over the floor (there's a little lever that when you pull it, it opens the bottom of the canister. You're supposed to do this over a trash can I suppose, but I ended up dumping everything on the floor) soooooooooooooo I got to vacuum everything AGAIN. I was surprised how well it cleaned up all that crap (tons of dust, cat hair, etc.). I only had to roll over the same area a couple times before it looked immaculate. The carpet looked really clean. Is it worth $500? I don't know. $500 is a fucking lot of money for any cleaning appliance. I guess if you have the money, you might as well. crispy
Well, we actually got a Hoover, and acording to Hoover, thiers picks up more dirt, which is like Pepsi saying thier cola tastes the best, but with little ones, and about three years of some solid abuse, it is still doing great I think we paid $350, but we also bought it before Dyson was on the market but we have no complaints, and I would recommend it to anyone http://www.hoover.com/WindTunnel/xq/asp.WindHomeHTML/ProdID.152/ModID.842/qx/U6630900.htm
buttonman700
My folks have a Dyson and love it. Kasey and I own a Rainbow and would own anything else. Dyson $499 rainbow about $2,000 ( Yeah I know that's alot, but it really is a great machine!) I say go for the best you can afford.
CoasterCrazy
If you have the extra money to spend get the Dyson, you will never have to buy bags again! Also don't make the mistake that I made when I used one for the time, make sure you put canister half way in the trash can before you pull the trigger. WillMontu
I just let the Roomba do the vaccuuming. There's no retractable cord though (or any cord, for that matter), and you have to empty it frequently. It is self propelled though AND makes cool sounds! Shockwave
Wally, that's what our Dyson looked like after we hoovered just one room of the house! It picks up a lot of dirt, and now that I'm officially allergic to dust mites, it always stays outside my room!
Blazen_AZN
At my house we have a Kirby vacuum... THAT THING IS CRAZY! and its also $1000 but OMG DOES IT SUCK! i swear its almost dangerous... actually i think it is... you cant even move that sucker unless you put it into self propelled mode, i swear! and it blows out drains (like in your sink) to unclog them... given the choice.. i'd still take a dyson... im not clean enough to spen 1K on a vacumm ...
