coasterdude5 Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 So, Wild! has come out and things are kinda quiet on what will happen next. Previously, there have been only two expansions per game? Could RCT3 break the pattern? Well, I believe they will, here's an idea: I think an asian themed expansion pack would fit the game perfectly. It would have dragon as the "star entertainer" and Chinese or Japanese scenery groups. There's also still alot of rides/changes they could add. (Screamin Swing, Giant Carousel, etc.) So what do you think. Post your ideas here!
Krazykral10 Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 IMO I dont think that there will be anymore expansions for RCT3 i think that if they come out w/ another that it will be RCT4 because all of the past RCTs have only had TWO expansions
coasterguy618 Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 ^Yep, there probably won't be any more expansion packs. Krazykral is right, there have been two expansions for every RCT. RCT had Loopy Landscapes and Corkscrew Follies. RCT2 had Wacky Worlds and Time Twister and now RCT3 has Soaked! and Wild!
Twister II Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Even though I dought another expantion for RCT3, I would have to say a complete German/European type theme. Probly because Frontier is in Europe, and ExGeForce is in the pre-builds for the giga in Wild.
maliboomer Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 I don't think there will be one, but it will have to be the single word adjective name thing they've had for Wild! and Soaked!, like 'redlighted' if it was Amsterdam themed.
Angry_Gumball Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 Looking at The Sims, I have a feeling that RCT3 could have more expansion packs to be 'up to date' with the amusement industry. The Sims as you know has quite a few expansion packs.
kenshinmac Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 The main reason I think there won't be any more expansions is because they have released RCT3Gold. In fact it was released with Wild!. That really makes me think that they are about done with RCT3.
ShoubraStreet74 Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I highly doubt we will see any more RCT games for a very long time. Especially since RCT3 continues to be a resource-hog for many people with medium-low end PCs. For the time being, I am pretty satisfied with RCT3: Wild.
CoasterFreak24 Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 I'm thinking Rollercoaster Tycoon ONLINE!! Yea.. right.. in my dreamms

sfmmFREAK Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 although VERY costly and unlikely, i think it would be cool the see them team up with universal. or at least have a hollywood expansion. but before all that, they need to have darkness indoors, raised FPS, and a darkride edition. but i doubt any of this will happen. because rct always has two expansions and then goes on to the next. RCT RCT Loopy Landscapes RCT Corkscrew Follies RCT2 RCT2 Wacky Worlds RCT2 Time Twisters RCT3 RCT3 SOAKED! RCT3 WILD! RCT4
coasterdude5 Posted November 23, 2005 Author Posted November 23, 2005 Just to let everyone know, Gold only covers Soaked!. So there really could be a Platinum that included Soaked, Wild, and ANOTHER EXPANSION PACK!!
FlyingScooter Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 RCT4 will be next. Unless they get the 'wild' idea to 'soak' us for another expansion.
benzo41190 Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I think that there will be more then 2 expansion packs. I mean RCT, CF, LL all came out like a few years apart. Now RCT3, Soaked, Wild all came out within the same year (or pretty close). Unless there will be a 3-4 year gap of RCT games after Wild. I really think that they should space out the expansions because 2 in one year is pretty rushed. If they waited a little longer in between games, i think that the quality would be alot better.
FlyingScooter Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 ^pretty rushed is right. RCT3 was shipped defective. Then, they ship Soaked with differant video requirements, and, I love this part, it won't run right until you download the bug fixes from Atari's website before you load Soaked. Time frames don't have as much to do with it as money itself. It was going to be released before xmas and it was. Doesn't matter if it doesn't work right. sad
coasterboi Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Well i was shocked when i bought Wild. Because i have A g-force6 in my pc [We found it for £50] And it runs really slowly at night
kenshinmac Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 Well i was shocked when i bought Wild. Because i have A g-force6 in my pc [We found it for £50] And it runs really slowly at night There is a known bug in the release version of wild that affects the framerate during night sequences. Download the update to fix it...
coasterdude5 Posted November 30, 2005 Author Posted November 30, 2005 Does the auto update do it? Or do you have to manually do it.
DATman Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 I hate to say it, but just because there is a pattern in expansions DOESNT mean that they HAVE to follow it. I think that they wont be going to 4 for a while. The reason that they most likely only did 2 for RCT2 is because both were REALLY crappy. They were basically JUST scenery expansions. I think that there'll be a few more expansions, at lest untill this one starts to die like RCT2 did expansion wise. So far, RCT3 has been going much better than 2, in the way of expansoins. Expect a few more for RCT3.
mcjaco Posted December 1, 2005 Posted December 1, 2005 ^ I'd agree with that. RCT2 was basically RCT repackaged with a few "new" goodies. The two expansions still came out over the course of 2 years after the release. I have a feeling these two expansions from RCT3 were items that they had planned from the beginning of RCT3 development, thus their quick release. Personally, I'd like to see more scenery options like RCT2 had: Europe, Asia, Jungle, Medevil theming etc. The only ride no one has done is one like SFGAM's Triple Play, that'd be nice too.
