robbalvey
^ They are doing live media shoots starting at 4:15am. My shoot is at 8:30am. So I know there are things going on early in the morning.
texcoaster
As far as I know nothing starts at 4....... my email said to arrive at 9:30 and the event starts at 10:00. It must be in stages, then. My email said 4:15am. I get off work around 8:30pm and I'm 4.5 hours away. No sleep for me!
Rastuso
Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag. Yeah, ACErs are 4:15 for a 5 start. Usually, once you are there, you can stay, so ACE should get the primo rides before lots of other folks show up, and can then stay for as many rides as they want. That's how TItan went. Plus, not everyone gets the food, usually. I hope it's a good day. -R
jray21
Plus, not everyone gets the food, usually. Well, obviously there won't be any food left if ACE is there first! Sounds like an awesome day! I wish I could join everyone. I can't wait to see all the videos, it looks like an incredible ride.

The ACE group is there to help fill the train so that when the media shows up to do their shots, they aren't riding it with a half empty train, which looks bad on the screen. The email that the other guy got sounds like the invite email for the media day for the actual press, which starts at 10am. You only would have gotten an earlier call time as a meber of the press if you were doing an on camera shoot for your media outlet, like TPR is doing. For example, our call time for the camera is 8:30am. --Robb Edited April 20, 2011 by robbalvey

rcfreak417
My biggest concern is thunderstorms. There's going to be a round of them that moves through the area late tonight into the early hours tomorrow morning. Hopefully they don't put too much of a dent in tomorrow's plans! cedarpointfangirl
^ Yep, and man have we had some nasty ones lately. The hail we have had has been intense, we had golf ball size at my job. Hopefully they will pass thur this evening and not effect the overnight, early morning hours.
Stephen G
I wish I could go tomorrow but not being in the media and having to work tomorrow after school means the fun will have to wait till Friday and even then not till after 3pm but I hope see you all there, the excitement is building! Funky Cold Medina
I don't know forecast has been calling for only a 10% chance of precipitation. Cloudy and in the 70's. I'm crossing my fingers for no rain but we shall see.

BrandonR
I remember having to wake up at the crack of dawn for Titan's media day. It's a weird feeling being on a coaster as the sun is rising, but a pleasant one nevertheless. Hope y'all have fun! I'll try to get to the park Sunday morning for my own ride, hopefully when all the religious folk are still at church.
Sportsdude360
I'll be there on Friday, bright and early!! Can't wait for tomorrow so I can read all the media day coverage. Looking foward to all the videos as well.

texcoaster
With such an early start time, there's a good chance that my first-ever ride on it will be in the dark. Wicked.

Rastuso
Just rode front seat back car. Excellent ride. Fast smooth, great air on the drop and tons of pops throughout. Great for an early, cool morning.
texcoaster
Five rides in so far. One in row 3, one middle, 3 in back. First impression (row 3)... Smoothest ride EVER, lots of air, very little intensity. Fun, but kinda meh. Middle was significantly better. Back seat: ZOMG. Full trip report later. Rastuso
Just got off after 7 rides without leaving the train. Damn near uked while leaving the station. This coaster is a real winner. Not mega fast, and actually slow in parts. But insane bucking bronco air on lots of hills. Especially the one before the mid course. The overbanks are awesome. The ride is very smooth, but it does bump an a lot of the track seams. Wonder how that will age. R
texcoaster
Sitting in the red train..... This ride seems longer. (kidding) A sensor malfunction has us stuck on the brake run. Glad for the covering over it, so we're staying dry! Twelve rides so far.
