abovethesink
I think this deserves its own place of discussion. We have two parks on the way out, as we all know. California's Great America and Six Flags America. The connective tissue between the two closures is quite clearly and openly the huge value of the land they sit on. That's got to be the starting point on any speculation of any future potential closures. It doesn't have to be the only talking point. It doesn't have to be the only reason Six Flags could close or sell a property. Being on super valuable land also doesn't mean a park will close. But I am definitely curious. Which other parks are on land as valuable as SFA and CGA? Are there any others they might be looking at the value of selling/developing the land for other uses versus the profits of running the current park? Sledgehammer_77
Also with SFA, it wasn't well taken care of for decades and there was so much competition around a three hour radius that all have superior rides. Possibly with WOF and SFSL being three and a half hours away they'll hedge their bets with one of the parks... but I'm not aware of the quality of SFST to say for sure. SF might also try to rid their contracts with Darien Lake and La Ronde, but there is a high population within a 4 hour drive to see them stay as well. I do not see Valleyfair going anywhere as it's close to nothing. Dorney has a lot of competition but it seems to do well as a family park for the area. Now that CF is in charge, I could be SFOG get a lot more attention to the park as well as the Over Texas. Whatever gets transfered from SFA to the other parks should also answer which parks are staying.
Sportsdude360
SFOT and SFOG are already confirmed to be receiving major new attractions in 2026. They're among the safest parks in the chain, along with SFMM, SFGAdv and CP.
prozach626
I don't think Six Flags Saint Louis and World's of Fun compete with each other. They're regional parks. I've never talked to anyone in my circle who has heard of World's of Fun. Holiday World gets all of the family travelers' attention in my area, which is just a little less farther and World's of Fun.
KBrylczyk
Six Flags Mexico might be on the chopping block. They already stole Siren's Curse away from it. Solid park, though, and it has one hell of a local population to support it. I'd just be sad to lose that sweet, sweet discount in the exchange rate for my all-park passport. Cost me $118 USD to purchase it during my trip in March. All that to say, plan a trip to CDMX in the near future, regardless of this park's future. Not only is Superman worth the price of the trip alone, but you also get a nice RMC and countless incredible things to see, do, and eat in CDMX. I recommend attending during the Pyrotechnic Festival and surviving the Pyro Bulls. It's truly the most insane thing I've ever done. Nrthwnd
sfMexico was one of my favourite SF parks that I've visited, over ten years ago, with TPR. Great rides, great atmosphere...and great drinks, too! Great TPR tour that was, in March 2013. Several of our touring bunch. No, it's not saying GOD .... Medusa, before the re-tracking re-do, was my # 600 coaster! Yay!

Did they ever? Do they compete with SDC? In the 90s, I remember seeing commercials for SFSTL on local KC TV stations like during Simpsons reruns on Ch38. I have seen SDC commercials on local KC TV stations more recently. They might compete for travelers in Columbia/Jefferson City but that's a small market

Siren's Curse Harley Quinn was going to be the cherry on top, sadly it didn't materialize but I've been told there are huge investments coming in the next couple of years, so I'd say SFM is safe for now.
