robbalvey Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I think by now most people know that we do our "live" trip reports via Instagram & Facebook Stories. So if you're not following us on those platforms... YOU SHOULD BE! Anyway, for those of you who aren't, here are the photos & videos we posted to our Instagram Story today. There is even a Story "Highlight" on our Instagram bio if you want to check that out: https://www.instagram.com/themeparkreview/ (You should probably check out some of our other highlights while you are there as well...) Anyway... we went to IAAPA today and here's some stuff we posted about: 002.mp4 004.mp4 009.mp4 013.mp4 014.mp4 019.mp4 026.mp4 027.mp4 028.mp4 4 2
Garet Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I appreciate you taking the extra time to post them here, I sometimes forget to check my Facebook often enough and the stories are already gone.
bert425 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 that Hungry Hungry Hippos thing is so disturbing to watch. . LOL. . but I could *totally* see that showing up in Casinos in Vegas!

My biggest frustration about FB stories. At least on IG we can make "highlights" from them, and we do for most major trips or visits we do, but still they aren't viewed as often as when we post them "live." 2
Nrthwnd Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 Thanks for all this great coverage, Robb! So much appreciated, as I am (gulp) "one of those" who doesn't do any social sites. This is great and there appears to be a lot happening for 2021's seasons of all the world's parks. Now, I need a BIG lottery win, lol!

KarlaKoaster Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 It's so good to see IAAPA back, and it must be really nice for the industry because it's such an important event for networking etc. I love IAAPA - I love how it encompasses not only the ride manufacturers but the people who make the food, costumes, lockers, coaster wheels and everything in between. Makes you appreciate how much goes into running a theme park. Great to see your coverage!
Hilltopper39 Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 I wonder what's going on with that Axis coaster, it's such a cool concept that you'd think that someone would have bought one by now? I feel like it's been maybe 3 years or so since we had footage of that prototype at S&S's facility but there still isn't a physical installation of that thing anywhere. Maybe Covid put a hold on a lot of plans while parks figure out what their future is going to be like, but hopefully one will get sold and installed somewhere soon. I will say those new trains "look" really cool, but man do they look tight. maybe it's just the perspective of the pictures but it sure looks like a tight squeeze.
grsupercity Posted November 18, 2021 Posted November 18, 2021 looks like CJ barrymores in getting that new spinning drop ride?

I think one has been rumoured to have been sold to a European park. I think it looks like a great concept and very versatile that I'm surprised they haven't sold more already. S&S seem to work a different way to many manufacturers with the way they show off prototypes and so I guess there are a few steps in between this proof of concept and the final, fully fleshed out product, plus like you say covid has maybe meant a few parks being more conservative in their decision making.
Nrthwnd Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 Forgot to ask! Were there any new "Fair Food" offerings there, as well as the new rides and coaster creations.....?
Nrthwnd Posted January 9, 2022 Posted January 9, 2022 Still curious, if you guys got to try out some/any new theme park food offerings, there? Yes? No? I mean, there has GOT to be a new flavor of Dippin'Dots, yes? No?
