canadianparkfan Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 It seems like these rides are pretty popular at fairs, and I've seen a few park models before, but I've never had the chance to ride one. I can't find many reviews online about them either, but from what I've heard, they seem to be the "B&M Hyper/Giga" of the flat ride world; as in, they look quite imposing and intense from the ground, but their bark is far worse than their bite. The Mondial capriolo (one armed version) seems to be the more thrilling varient. Any thoughts? Booster/Speed/Skyscraper Booster/Speed/Skyscraper Capriolo
Nitro1118 Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 The one at Seaside in NJ is my favorite flat ride ever. It's huge, fast, and the location right on the beach is amazing. That's especially true when you are going backwards, hanging while looking at the ocean upside down. Really fun ride.
dippindotsguy8 Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Skyscrapers are in my top 3 ride experiences ever! There's nothing quite like going forward/head first over the top and looking straight down at the ground. I think they're a blast and I'm sad to see that Cedar Point removed theirs (which doesn't appear to be going to another park).
Henry M Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 The one at Brighton looks good. All of the ones which tip you over the sea make a more unique experiance, which not many rides can offer.
canadianparkfan Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 Surprised to hear how great these rides are. As I mentioned before, I've mainly heard complaining by avid fairground ride fans saying the one armed Mondial versions are better. Personally think they look great.
Nrthwnd Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 My all time favourite of these, is the one at POWER PARK in Finland! It made me wish we had one of these at Playland(PNE) instead of the UPcharge larger one. It's great, but still you have to pay extra. This one was included in the park admission, so I rode it at least 6 times, my first time. TPR 2014 Scandi Tour.
DoinItForTheFame Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 They're flat out amazing rides. This. The rides are amazing!! They provide a different ride experience every time. Flying face first towards the ground and then flipping over to be flying towards the sky a split second later is awesome. I was sad to hear that Cedar Point was removing theirs, because it really was an awesome ride. Rode it at least 50 times.

Nrthwnd Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Here's the thing we got at Playland(PNE). Revelation. Big and fun yes. Nothing like looking straight down at pavement, heh. The mountains back drop view is a nice added touch. Sky and mountains (and Corkscrew) in back of it.
I305forever Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 I went on the one at Luna Park. It was pretty fun but not really that scary.
BisonRugbyGuy Posted March 26, 2016 Posted March 26, 2016 I went on Skyscraper when it was at Valleyfair a handful of times. It is probably my favorite flat (minus the cost)
canadianparkfan Posted March 26, 2016 Author Posted March 26, 2016 Interesting article comparing the booster and capriolo: http://www.s104638357.websitehome.co.uk/html/2xtreme_main.htm
LeoBruz199 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I went on the one at Luna Park. It was pretty fun but not really that scary. The one at Luna Park is a Zamperla and it's much slower than the others.
LeoBruz199 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Here's the thing we got at Playland(PNE). Revelation. Big and fun yes. Nothing like looking straight down at pavement, heh. The mountains back drop view is a nice added touch. Wasn't this the ride they used for the third Wimpy Kid movie as the Cranium Shaker?
