benzo41190 Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 I sent my payment in today. The DVD's are really great, I hope Volume 7 is better yet  I have questions about about them........ -is there a reason that the SFSL coaster footage was in the 2003 DVD intead of 2002? -it said that the footage from vol. 3 was from past years also, how old was it? some of it was very bad compared to your footage now -how many days did you stay at "Pontins"? -how long were you at SFMM when X opened. People said they waited 7 hours, but how long did you wait?
Ghost Posted October 20, 2005 Posted October 20, 2005 I got the DVD's yesterday... that's the great thing... the bad... no time to watch them (Leaving to Orlando very soon and preparing for the trip)... Hattuchili Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 WTF. I got no package till now. Why "MrMorgan" got his package earlier? Hamburg is only 1 hour away! I hate the German Post Service! --Sören
MrMorgan Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 haha! sorry soeren, alter bevor shoenheit, or however you say that auf deutsch.
Hattuchili Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 ^ haha... Yes, it is "Alter vor Schönheit"! However, that is not fair! :? I hope I get it in the next days. I want to see the videos, too! --Sören
T-Bô Posted October 21, 2005 Posted October 21, 2005 I recieved mine yesterday! And I live in Belgium (way closer to the US than Bremen and Hamburg ). So you see Sören, it has nothing to do with distance! It shouldn't take to long now though... Great DVD by the way! I love it ! Thanks Robb and Elissa!
Hattuchili Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Yeeeeehhhaaaaaa, I can´t believe it. Today I really got my TPR package! I will post a photo TR, later! --Sören
Lilly Posted October 22, 2005 Posted October 22, 2005 Received mine on Wednesday and watched them 3 times so far. I even made Achim watch them twice though I had to mute the sound for his second viewing... Made me laugh real hard to see us jerks in your fine video. Can't wait to watch them again and hope to see a Volume 7. Please add me to the pre-order list now ^___^ ...Y O Y can't I have a monthly subscription... Thank you uncountlessly much and good luck and much off-season fun regarding the Euro Mir T-Shirt.
ZipityDoDog Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Got my Vol. 6 on Friday. Great Vids like always. The joys of working nights is that I have all day, or at least most of the day to watch.
robbalvey Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 ThrillNetwork posted a great review today: http://www.thrillnetwork.com/stories_view.php/1260 ...If their Japan DVD was worth seeing a couple times, this one belongs on the collector's shelf. This is probably the best roller coaster and theme park footage I've seen.
SteveC Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 well just fantastic - the PTR was brilliant but to see the action (refer - the picture captions) the whole thing made sense. As for the dog fart coaster - well jeez - It may be a great ride but I don't care how politically correct my homeland is, I'm so glad that coaster is not in my country. I mean - why is the dog so big and the poop so small? - Why didn't they make a huge mound and have a steam jet effect running through? Why does the fart sound like a bark? (or is that a warning of things to come?) Why do I feel the need to dicsuss this with my therapist first thing? Steve- doesn't coaster in his own back yard -C
frederic Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Hi there, I got my DVD last week-end. This last issue of Coaster Expedition is excellent. The POV are better (the camera is sometimes fixed on the car of the coaster) and slow motion is well used in the editing. I also liked the references to Volume 2. Congratulations for this awsome work and thanks again. --frederic
robbalvey Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Another review from CoasterSims.com: http://www.coastersims.com/norestraint.asp?action=viewarticle&articleid=154&page=1 Theme Park Review's "Coaster Expedition Volume 6: European Extravaganza!" DVD set is definitely a worthy addition to any coaster-nut's collection. It's 3 1/2 hours of fun in DVD form, and at $10 per DVD, the price isn't something to smirk at. Thanks guys! --Robb
robbalvey Posted November 7, 2005 Author Posted November 7, 2005 Now that we have officially announced "Tools On The Loose 2005" it's time to un-stick this. For info on "Tools" click here: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=20260 --Robb
robbalvey Posted November 15, 2005 Author Posted November 15, 2005 Another "European Extravaganza" review from the guys at East Coast Coasters: http://www.eastcoastcoasters.com/pittstop/tprv6rev.htm "This new coaster DVD, number 6 in the collection, is packed with more great shots, funny moments, and more freedom in parks than America would ever allow." Thanks Guys! --Robb
robbalvey Posted November 20, 2005 Author Posted November 20, 2005 And yet another review from www.coaster-net.com: "Whether you're going for laughs provided by the variety of interesting personalities along on the trip or the pure thrill ride footage, you'll walk away from your TV satisfied after watching the trio of DVDs." http://www.coaster-net.com/affiliates.php Once again, thanks for the great reviews! --Robb
robbalvey Posted November 21, 2005 Author Posted November 21, 2005 And to keep things flowing...another review, this time from www.geaugaguide.com "I really didn't know what to expect with this DVD set, but I can say after watching it I was pleasantly surprised. The cinematography was much better than expected. The POV clips are extremely smooth, and the pace of the DVD is excellent. The DVD makes it seem as if you are a guest of the TPR crew. It seems as if you are actually there. Time for me to plan a trip to Europe!" http://www.geaugaguide.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1010
Damien666 Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 All right, I just ordered this and the Japan DVD just now! Can't wait to see how much TDL kills the American parks and Challenge of Tutankhamon, and Elissa getting attacked by Orki...crazy antics..etc.
