canadianparkfan
Found this video on YouTube the other day. IMO, if what the guy built in New Zealand/moved to NJ (essentially a giant slip'n'slide) counts for record purposes (was ranked world's longest waterslide), then I say the slide in the above video should claim some accolades as well. So, you be the judge... Did these guys beat the Sky Caliber slide (the one with the weird capsule you ride in) to the "first vertical loop since action park" title? bkwjjm
Yikes! That is nuts.

Absolutely not, because this could never be cleared for public operation. The challenge in creating a successful looping waterslide is not in getting a body moving fast enough. It's in making something reliable and safe enough to open at an actual park.
DoinItForTheFame
No. Just... No.
Coaster Hero
This looks like it would be a fantastic fit at the old Action Park
Ape
I'd do this if given the chance.
_koppen
Looks kinda fun when they get the speed up, but I'm seriously surprised the guy who stopped in the middle of it didn't get more hurt. This is that kind of activity where necks are broken.
I305forever
^ It seems like he would've broken his tailbone at least.
Coaster Hero
So it's safe to assume the first guy died? Seriously though, that must have HURT. There was blood on the slide afterwards
canadianparkfan
Surprised to see all the comments on this! Found something else interesting (on the side bar of the first video posted), that, while a little off topic, is still pretty amazing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OTcdutIcEJ4 Guess this "loop" idea isn't just for coasters, or even slides anymore... Somebody figured out how to RUN through a loop.

RollerManic
"Hold my beer!" Honestly not too surprised by this. You knew aomebody would do it. We all know that it is a simple matter of physics and fear to make a circular waterslide loop. This video was on "Outrageous Acts of Science" for those of you who watch it. canadianparkfan
^With it being featured on a show, plus the crazy concept, I'm surprised it doesn't have more hits on YouTube
TheCoasterKid211
I still can't believe they had to get a truck to pull the dude so he could get enough speed to go through the loop.
