Nrthwnd
I have a weeeee "complaint" about some of the Tokyo Disney vehicles, that TOMICA offers through the years. This is one of many, but mostly the busses, monorails, omnibusses, and the like. But, in TDS, Journey to the Center of The Earth's ride vehicle is not what I would call, worth "flowering up"? Or ...adding "The Minnie Touch" to it? Here's the original, which I own one of, and the 2018 version, for whatever reason I do not care. to Tokyo Disney and TOMICA on this one. Here's the original I own, from the TPR 2007 Japan Tour. Beautiful, and so tiny! This one.....as the Japanese would say....それはたわごとだ (Sore wa tawagotoda). Or, if you're French.....C'est de la merde. IMhO.
Nrthwnd
Tokyo Disney Resort will be starting it's 35th Anniversary Grand Finale in the new year. And along with that, TOMICA has come out with a few more toy vehicles to celebrate The End of The Event. These two, along with the others, will be available from January 11th to March 25, 2019. Check out http://www.tdrexplorer.com for more information on these and other souvenirs available next year. Damn, I hate to have to wait that long! Ah well. More eBay listings, eventually. A new (retro) Storm Rider vehicle, for the occasion! A special TDS Transit Steamer for this event, too. I wish the "rainbow effect" on the boat itself, had purple on it as well. (Hmmm. Maybe it's on the back of it.)
Nrthwnd
Besides the above, TOMICA is also coming out with a couple more ride vehicles! One is for TDS and the other(s) for TDL: Tea Cups & Flying Carpets, lol! Two little tea cups (like the pair of Doom Buggies) - on wheels! (o: Jasmine's Flying Carpet! On wheels, too! Very nice. Nrthwnd
TOMICA is also coming out with a new Midtown Cab (in TDS), that somehow has to do with Minnie Mouse, and is called the "Special Version" edition of this toy vehicle. Go figure. I pre-bought one, on eBay of course, lol. (Solstice Gifts to myself.) Available the day after Christmas Day, Go Minnie!
Canobie Coaster
They aren't Tomicas, but I have a few Disney World vehicles. I particularly like my old and new Test Track cars. Unfortunately 7 year old me broke the windshield on the old car.
Nrthwnd
^ I love that mini partial-section they're selling, of the Slinky Dog Dash coaster in Toy Story Land! I would buy it too, if I had the chance to, while there. When we're there in .....2024....I'll be sure to check that out. OMG I just realized, I've spent nearly $200 Cdn for all this TOMICA crap. (5 vehicles total) Eep.
Canobie Coaster
I was shocked that mini section was cheaper than the other Slinky Dog merchandise in that land.
Nrthwnd
^ Well, sometimes you find deals you never expected, with Disney. I just ordered another interesting (to me) TOMICA 3-set - Alice/Belle/Jasmine Vehicles! Just the old gay in me, un-resisting pretty glittery things. EDIT: Just discovered this is part of a set of 6-8 "vehicles." That'll larn me. Jasmine & Belle on Top. Alice Underneath. In the photo, they actually look pretty cool! Nrthwnd
"Holy More Candy Cases, Batman!" Yep, two new ones about to debut in Tokyo Disney Resort, in the New Year. The PIXAR Playtime (Jan.11-Mar.25) one is destined for Tokyo DisneySea. The (probably called) 35th Birthday Finale (also Jan.09-Mar.25) one will sell in both parks and at IKSPIARI, somewhere. And maybe Bon Voyage, too! I want them both. (EDIT: Found the info. Below each photo.) Gummy Candy and Case ~ Food carts and counter service restaurants. Nrthwnd
^ Just found them listed and bought one of each, lol! And... an interesting "find" (to me), I have also purchased. I have collected the odd face washcloth from theme parks through the years, including Tokyo Disney Resort. But what I found interesting about this one, is that in the top right hand corner, there is 2 sky ride buckets.... of the skyride that closed in 1998, now over 20 years ago! In 1998, Tokyo Disneyland closed its Skyway. The Fantasyland station was removed to make room for Pooh's Hunny Hunt, while the Tomorrowland station was remodeled into a candy store. So, I bought one for the nostalgia of it, LOL. P.S. The other interesting thing about this facecloth, was that the only reference made to DisneySea, was one of the two Mickeys on the reverse side of the cloth. With the hat on. That's his TDS uniform, from recent celebrations. I totally forgot TDL had a sky ride! It was the third one, after WDW and Disneyland's version. Now, all of them gone. )o: The "saying" that edges both sides, says "It all started in 1983 ~ and will continue beyond ---- " (I think).
Nrthwnd
And I could not resist.... 3's and all. Something from TDLR's 33rd Birthday. Just bought it, and expecting it to arrive by the end of the month. The Initials = Western River Rail Road.
Nrthwnd
The "saying" that edges both sides, says "It all started in 1983 ~ and will continue beyond ---- " (I think) I got the TDR35th-Anniversary Facecloth today, and finally saw, what I couldn't figure out before, from the photos of it.....the "word" 2018! Should've know. There it is, in gold thread....2018!
Nrthwnd
Coming out of a very wierd (to me) bout of the flu. But it made me pause, to have some t-e-a, separate from all The COFFEE I usually drink in a day.... YES IT DID! Which then helped me to FINALLY decide to use, a couple of souvenir tea cups from our last DisneyParis visit, Sept.2015. They've been mainly on display on one of the two cup/mug racks I have up in our kitchen. But these cups I rarely used, so they ended up on "Top Row" (of 3). So today, I changed their location on the rack (Bottom row) for better...."tea useage". I got them in Paris, but I now see them available everywhere, in DL parks. Great! Where they used to hang. Now they're on the bottom rack. Does that sound....kinky? (o;
Nrthwnd
Two new TOMICA Tokyo DisneyLand/Sea Vehicles, coming out in April, for Easter. (I already pre-bought mine.) In DisneySea, the Midtown Cab. In DisneyLand, the Jolly Trolley.
Nrthwnd
This just in! I just discovered that one of Fuji-Q Highland Park's many unique coasters, this one, got it's train replicated, TOMICA-size! And it's not that expensive to buy either, on eBay. "DO-DO-DONPA!" Very cool this is! (o: And I got mine for under $15 U.S. With free shipping! And it would be awesome, if they made a Rainbow Assortment of these (6). (o: ...Like this colour perhaps, still? Photo by Pear, thanks!
Nrthwnd
Just picked up this nice little BAYMAX pin from eBay. It was for the Japanese New Year, with a mandarin/satsuma orange (I believe) on his head. (o:

Nrthwnd
^Great! Mine is already on it's way. EDIT: Got it, and it's really a long coaster train! (29/06). It'll join my two Hot Wheels coaster cars. The right one has hands up, in the back. (o:
anonymouscactus
Shutterfly was having $1 magnet + free shipping sale so I decided to take our funpix photos and turn them into magnets for the fridge! The quality is a little lower than I was expecting (colors aren't super bright) but it was cool to get the ride logos and everything in each photo instead of buying magnets at the park. Nrthwnd
^ Great idea! Wish I'd thought of that for more on-ride photos we've gotten, through the years. We did get one that's great standing or on the fridge! TPR 2013 Japan Tour. (Sea Paradise Park)
Nrthwnd
Received my newest Tokyo DisneySea Transit Steamer from eBay and TOMICA. TDS does an annual summer event called "Pirates Summer" featuring the Fab Four (or Five?). And TOMICA designs and produces one (or more) of the many TDL/S cars/ride vehicles, all themed to the event in question. This totals 27 (out of a possible 29 from my searches) I have collected of this particular TDS vehicle. Neat! (o:
Nrthwnd
Just before I leave for California tomorrow.... I couldn't resist buying one of these Tokyo Disneyland TOMICA sets, (on eBay) of the TDL Western River Railroad, for Halloween this year.... Boo! Should arrive just after I get back from my visit to Knott's and Disney Resort.
Nrthwnd
Just arrived today! My eBay TOMICA Tokyo DisneySea JTTCOTE* vehicle. It has the "18th" logo and theming on it, celebrating the 18th Birthday of TDS this month. Cool! * Journey To The Center Of The Earth. Really nice design on this. Nrthwnd
Anybody who's been to Tokyo Disney Resort AND enjoyed one (or more?) of it's many, many popcorn flavours, will enjoy this little trinket...maybe for a Holiday Gift to someone who also geeks out on popcorn, like you??? It is a snack case, shaped like one of those all familiar popcorn carts in both parks. This one carries the Caramel Popcorn, and is "dressed up" for the winter holidays! I love it, and hope to get one, eventually. They carry either m&m's or jelly beans in them at the parks, but are usually sold on eBay, w/o the snacks in them. Nrthwnd
Two more snack cases are to be released, beginning of November. One for the Tokyo Disney Electrical Parade in TDL, and the other for Fantasmic! in TDS. I wish they had put some white on the Fantasmic! container. Where the stars are, the moon, etc? I am just getting the Electrical Parade one. That's enough for me, for now. Both available November 1st in the parks.
