Invertalon Posted July 15, 2015 Posted July 15, 2015 I saw it yesterday for the first time... It was a good, fun movie. But I wouldn't call it incredible or anything... I also wish some things were a little different, but at the end of the day it was still a pretty solid movie so that is what counts.
Jew Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 It's about to cross $600 million domestically and $1.5B overall worldwide!
gisco Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 And it is still pulling in over a million a day during the weekend. I expect to see it showing until after Labor Day.
gisco Posted September 1, 2015 Posted September 1, 2015 Sequel will be released June 22, 2018. No shock there was going to be a sequel.
Diamondbacker27 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 It seems as Universal is going to try and milk this cow. Another trilogy is in the works for the JP movies. The Jurassic World sequel is rumored to be based around military based operations using dinosaurs. Sigh..
coasterkid124 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 ^I will probably go to see the sequel, but the plot doesn't intrigue me. They should just keep the cycle going of destroying and reopening the park with something else going wrong. Don't fix what isn't broke.
gisco Posted October 13, 2015 Posted October 13, 2015 ^The island theme has been beaten to death. Time to move on. DVD coming out on the 20th!
SharkTums Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 Now that the movie is out on DVD I finally sat down and watched it. I certainly enjoyed it, but it was hyped up as being so amazing and almost as great as the first that there was no way it was going to live up to it. Most of why I didn't like it was because of the TERRIBLE BOYS!!!!! Even KT was begging for them to be eaten by dinosaurs. Seriously, how bad were those children!??! I realize it's hard to find good child actors, but the roles they played were just awful. Slightly autistic tween, angst ridden teen, ugh, they were so terrible!
Jew Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 ^Yeah. All the cliche movie things they did (the kids, the forced love interest) definitely took away from the movie. Luckily it still had enough going for it to still be decent. I do, however, worry about the sequel...
