JonnyRCT3
Since no one was able to decipher the teasers, I will reveal their hidden messages.  1st & 2nd puzzle pieces The family ranges in size from the 12-cm (4.7 inches), 11.5-gram (.40 oz) Orange-breasted Bunting to the 25-cm (9.8 inches), 85-gram (2.99 oz) Black-headed Saltator This relates to the attraction, which you will see in my following post 3rd puzzle piece Pulse will go from free-fall (9.80665 m/s) to suddenly hitting 0. Again, you will see what I mean in my following post.
JonnyRCT3
Saturday, May 20, 2006  Jessica Hill - coaster enthusiast   Valley Hills opened last weekend to some heavy crowds, especially with their new attractions. Luckily, I brought my camera this time. So rejoice in this photo trip report!   One of the first new things I noticed this season was Pulse. The ride now has one straight tower & one twisty tower.   This new version of Pulse kicks a$$! The coaster pauses for a second while you face the ground. This was my favorite part about V2, and I'm ecstatic that Valley Hills has an even bigger version.   This section seems to have gotten a beefier support package, similar to Wicked Twister at Cedar Point. This must be due to all the swaying it was experiencing before.   Luckily, I was able to ride Pulse before the line became ridiculous (55 minutes). The new Pulse is already a hit with the GP.   Sun Spin received some love this off season with an all new red, white & blue color package. Now it is known as Patriot, and I think it matches up nicely with Parachute Tower next door.   I absolutely adore this new color scheme! However, I do wonder if this was Valley Hills' doing, or CF wanting to bring a piece of WOF to the Valley? (what is that in the background?)   Ah, yes. How could I forget? The new headline attraction for '06, Cardinal.   Valley Hills claims another record with this one. Cardinal is the worlds largest HUSS Giant Frisbee.   The ride reaches heights of 148 feet at 122°   Pictures do not do it justice! Cardinal is truly GIGANTIC!!   Fun Fact: The midways of the park are now connected in a continuous loop. However, this new segment is below ground level. It provides some much needed relief from the Sun.   She's a beauty. (sign will be fixed later)   Not only does Cardinal provide lots of spinning, but also a few good pops of awkward, yet enjoyable, airtime.   Alongside Cardinal, a new lockers and restroom facility have been installed. Valley Hills just keeps adding these left and right.   Also new this year, Snoopy's Bounce House located in Camp Snoopy. It's your standard trampoline-esque attraction you find at the carnival, but with a $5 upcharge. (what's that I see in the backround?)   Déjà Vu was up and running today. I wonder how long this will last? I'll give it two weeks, tops.   Cardinal looks even better when lit up at night.   One last look at Cardinal & Patriot.   Jessica Hill

JonnyRCT3
Monday, August 7, 2006 Victor Hill - office janitor  Working at the main office is a rather mellow job. Simply cleaning up after a few suits is never a hard task, so I usually take a few breaks here and there. However, today while cleaning out the planning department's office, I stumbled upon some left out documents. There was some extra juicy stuff to be found!!  Layout overview.  As seen from Déjà Vu.  View from Cardinal.  One of the most interesting days I've had cleaning out this old cubical farm. This must be what Valley Hills is planning on for the future. However, no specific dates were given as to when we might see something like this. These are only preliminary concepts, but this could become something more concrete in the future. That cat is out of the bag now!! Let the rumor mill commence!!  -Victor Hill

JonnyRCT3
Monday, August 21, 2006   Devin Smith - park spokesperson   Hello all, and welcome to my final update as park spokesperson. It's been an amazing 17 seasons at the Valley, with many wonderful memories and experiences throughout it all. The beginning of my final update will begin with Black Stallion, the first ride to be added during my 16 year tenure. The airtime in the back is truly spectacular! The new wood helps with the smoothness too.    Exclusive shot atop the Valley Lift's eastern station. Such a beautiful skyline! I'm going to miss seeing this everyday.    Barrel Blast is another attraction that was added during my early years here (1992). I have yet to see lines slow down on this one since opening day, 14 years ago.    Speaking of crowds, just look how popular Coasters Restaurant has become! Revenue here has been simply fantastic, one of the best investments the park has made according to Kevin Richards , Valley Hills' Chief financial officer    It was Kevin Shields' (General Manager) last-minute decision during the designing phase to include the iconic coaster track. This has become quite the touristy photo spot for a lot of our guests. Excellent choice, Kevin.    Not too far off from Barrel Blast & Coasters Restaurant will you find the all new Cardinal, the world's largest Frisbee ride. Guests can also take advantage of the new underground midway to catch a break from the summer heat. The earth provides a natural, soothing cool that no air conditioner can match.    Cardinal provides quite the disorienting ride experience with some awesome moments of both zero-gravity, and strong positive g-forces.    Personally, I find Chaos to provide a much wilder, and out-of-control type ride than Cardinal. It may be smaller, but it sure does pack a punch. Unfortunately, this attraction hasn't proven too popular as it only managed half capacity during Independence Day weekend. The ride hasn't been a reliable one either, breakdowns happen every-so-often, usually something to do with the restraints not locking properly.    Speaking of reliability...Déjà Vu experienced a series of the same unfortunate events. The train stalled at this location six, count em', SIX times in the past twelve days.    On top of that, the ride's lift mechanisms caused riders to be stuck for nearly 4 hours last Thursday. The ride will remain closed indefinitely until all the issues with the rides manufacturer are resolved. We thank you for your patience!    An exclusive shot from IGNITION's 125-foot lift hill. 32 screaming passengers traverse the vertical loop.    Immediately following the loop, riders fly over the creek and zero-gravity their way over the station...    ...and head directly into the cobra roll that decorates the IGNITION plaza.    One of the more recent additions is Pulse. The new multi-million dollar renovation has opened to rave reviews. The new vertical holding section is the rides highlight according to many guests and coaster enthusiasts alike.    Well, that's all....It's been a fun ride! The Valley will always be a place I call home.    for the last time, Devin Smith  P.S.  Kevin Shields, Valley Hills General Manager, also commented on the recent coaster leak. "There has been rumors going around regarding a recent breech in Valley Hills planning department. As a result of this, many seem to think they have discovered one of Valley Hills possible future plans. I am here to put these rumors to rest. Yes, Valley Hills had previously contacted Great Coasters International with intentions to build a wooden roller coaster for the park. However, at the time, the park was working with multiple different ride companies in regards to a future attraction. GCI was simply one of the numerous choices we were considering. We had thanked Great Coasters International for their proposals, and time, but we ultimately went with a different type of ride and manufacturer altogether. So rest assure everyone, the proposed concepts of the wooden coaster that were leaked, have been long since abandoned, and we went with a different choice instead. That choice was Cardinal, from HUSS Park Attractions GmbH." There you have it! Let bygones be bygones...  P.P.S. A new park spokesperson will take over for me, so look forward to even more inside looks of Valley Hills!   P.P.P.S. Get ready for 2007!

rustyinpeace
100+x3=2007  I'm gonna try my hand and attempt to decipher this.  First, I'm going to assume that the 100+ is stating that the new attraction will reach over 100mph  Then, After solving 100 x 3, we get 300.  Given this, I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess that it's a giga coaster that goes over 100mph.  Btw, Nice job with this storytelling! JonnyRCT3
Friday, May 18, 2007  David Trust (31) - park spokesperson  Hello everyone, David Trust here, Valley Hills' newest spokesperson. Let me start off by thanking the honest Tom Keystone for doing such a magnificent job during the last 16 years, as he's been an excellent spokesperson. I first started here at Valley Hills in 1991, the year Black Stallion made its debut. I've slowly worked my way up from cashier, to guests services, to H&R relations. Now I'm in charge of keeping all of the public (but mostly you enthusiasts) up to date on all the latest news about Valley Hills.  _____________________________________________________   Valley Hills has taken screams up a notch with the all new Valley Scream.   Once the $10 separate admission is payed, riders will safely strap themselves in the six person gondola. Once riders are secured, the gondola tilts back 80° before a ten second countdown triggers, heightening the anticipation.   Valley Scream catapults riders approximately 250 feet in the air in only 4 seconds! Nearly 6 seconds of weightlessness can be experienced.   250 feet is no joke! Only ZER0 & Valley Scream can provide such exhilarating heights.   Most riders are in awe & excitement once their ride is over. Everyone I spoke with today found the ride remarkable, and some argue it the best ride at the park. The riders pictured here were left numb, this goes to show how extreme the ride can be. (NOTE: you must be at least 13 years old to ride Valley Scream)   Valley Scream is located next to Bluegrass Theater, which also received an all-new entrance area this season.   The Bluegrass Theater turns 35 this year, along with the rest of the park. Come check out some of the fantastic live-action shows! Half-priced admission to Bluegrass Theater all season long for season pass holders!!   Valley Scream was constructed in only six weeks (site clearing to testing) for an estimated $1 million USD. The ride was shoehorned between multiple attractions (Buccaneer's entrance had to be relocated) due to management pushing for the southeastern midway to be revived a bit. The last major attraction added here was in 1984, when Wild Waters and Buccaneer made their debut.   Some consider PEANUTS Bounce House as the inspiration behind Valley Scream. I don't know, what do you all think?   Encase you were wondering about the teasers, Tom Keystone left me a message that decodes it. 100+ X3Three Towers, each standing over 100 feet tall. The background featuring rockets and other aeronautical devices was to symbolize & hint at some-kind of launch into the air. Well, that all makes sense now!   ============================== Opening Day: Part 1, DONE! ==============================   Part 2, is coming soon. You'll get to see the all new PLANET SNOOPY!!   -David Trust

JonnyRCT3
=================== Opening Day: Part 2 ===================  David Trust   2007 not only brought the intimidating Valley Scream, but also the PEANUTS gang. Planet Snoopy, formerly Kid Town, is Valley Hills' newest family & children area.   The smaller children can take a whirl on Woodstock's Whirlybirds (background), or drive around on PEANUTS 500 (foreground).   Lucy's Tugboat is a rocking & spinning adventure. Race For Your Life Charlie Brown provides a classic mat racer experience.   Caterpillar has been transformed into Cosmic Coaster this season. The coaster has a new color scheme along with a more efficient lift motor.   Bonus shot: final wing over on IGNITION. 2.9 g's of continuous force!   IGNITION is easily visible throughout Planet Snoopy, looming next to the all new Joe Cool Cafe. The eatery features a Pizza Hut® menu inside, and a few PEANUTS themed menu items. Check it out!   Treetop Flyers is the only ride to remain unchanged during the transition into Planet Snoopy. The ride still proved to be wildly popular among guests visiting Planet Snoopy. The ride even features leftover butterfly themeing from Monarch Flight, which was removed in 1993.   Across the creek, and atop a hill, one can get a panoramic view of Valley Hills. Kite Eating Tree, the junior tower ride, is also visible from here.   Another opening day comes to a close. Valley Hills 36th opening day was a success!   -David "keep your eyes peeled" Trust

JonnyRCT3
Hello everyone. Â I would just like to thank everyone for their continued support of Valley Hills, as it has grown from a small-town amusement park into a huge regional theme park destination. I have recently discovered, however, some rather unpleasantness with my park. I personally find the story-line and pacing from the last 10 years to be quite stale in contrast to how it was prior. So I went ahead and did a complete overhaul on my 10 year plan. I was completely unsatisfied with it, so I decided to make it 300% more interesting. I can certainly say, without a single shred of doubt, the next 10 years WILL be Valley Hills' finest! I hope you all enjoy what's to come. Again, thank you all for your continued support and feedback! Â -JonnyRCT3
