_koppen Posted January 22, 2014 Author Posted January 22, 2014 I actually like the colors It's way better than the standard white most drop towers have.
Tropical7 Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 At first, I thought this was Ramen World! It looks truly amazing, but what really catches my eye is the British coaster.
gerstlaueringvar Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Repost from RCD. That space shot looks so tiny! By the way, how does Intamin space shot compare to S&S space shot?
A.J. Posted January 25, 2014 Posted January 25, 2014 Check out this video of the one at Lotte World. I think it looks lame compared to the S&S ones, but I'm not a drop tower person.
Garet Posted January 26, 2014 Posted January 26, 2014 Check out this video of the one at Lotte World. I think it looks lame compared to the S&S ones, but I'm not a drop tower person. It's very much a family ride compared to S&S, the launch accelerates quite slowly to the top and gives you a tiny pop of air-time at the top, its kind of the middle group for kids too big for the indoor frog hoppers but who can't handle gyro-drop. Fun-fact: this used to be inside Lotte World, I wish it still was would be cool to shoot up towards the ceiling and with the ice rink way down below would have given a bigger sense of height, outside it's really dwarfed by gyro-drop next door.
gerstlaueringvar Posted April 9, 2014 Posted April 9, 2014 ^^ patience, there are still a lot to do, the theme in this park will be very cool so it needs time for higher quality. There are still hundreds of days to go.
_koppen Posted April 9, 2014 Author Posted April 9, 2014 By the way, how does Intamin space shot compare to S&S space shot? The main difference, as showed by the video above, is that they don't launch you immediately, they start slow and then comes the boost. They are still very powerful rides. I think it looks lame compared to the S&S ones, but I'm not a drop tower person. Yeah, the one at Lotte World looks very tame, but the one at Phantasialand is very very awesome. The first launch is not that powerful, but the second, big one, is awesome! Same for the drop that follows it.
_koppen Posted May 19, 2014 Author Posted May 19, 2014 A few photos, some newer than others: I really like the look of this frisbee, as well as the Maurer coaster. Source
_koppen Posted May 30, 2014 Author Posted May 30, 2014 ^ It is undergoing theming at the moment. The HUSS Pirateboat is almost done Source
simon8899 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Starting to look good. And kudos to the owner(s) for getting mostly original rides and little knock-offs.
rcjp Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 If the intamin really ends up like on the concept art it will look amazing!
gerstlaueringvar Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Get excited people!!! Maurer Söhne X-Train in action!!! Photo credit: RCD
rcjp Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 ^Interesting. 5 cars (4 per car?) Is that new for Maurer Söhne?
gerstlaueringvar Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 ^ Yes. More pictures, the train looks really cool. Photo from RCD.
Midgetman82 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 A sexy looking coaster! Love the layout, and can only imagine what it would be like indoors!
rcjp Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Nice to see Maurer Söhne increasing the capacity by using these trains. This should only make them more appealing for more parks.
_koppen Posted August 7, 2014 Author Posted August 7, 2014 Finally! Been waiting for ages for this train to come to life! Can't wait to see how this bad boy will ride, it seems ideal for smaller parks.
Midgetman82 Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 I'd also like to add that it's really refreshing to see HUSS still in the game. The Frisbee looks sweet, and the Top Spin is sure to thrill! Hope maintenance for each flat holds up well for this park.
rcjp Posted August 8, 2014 Posted August 8, 2014 ^Looks like it already has some speed in that loop even though this is still testing. I like to see someone building an old school forceful loop now that so many manufacturers seem to go for hangtime.
Gutterflower Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 (edited) Construction continues. Looking really good. Love the jump over the mock up of Tower Bridge and the dive into the trench. thats going to provide some awesome views. Source: Fang via VHCoasters Edited November 9, 2015 by Gutterflower
