Dombot Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Yay for progress! If the American Dream mall is opening next month, than this'll get built at some point. I have faith.
chschris1 Posted September 5, 2019 Posted September 5, 2019 Has the official height of the coaster been announced?
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Wouldn’t that height just be the tower height, plus the “radio antenna” on top of it? I would guess if the FAA approved a height of 706', then that would include the entire building and everything above it. Doesn't make sense for them to approve a height of a building, that then goes higher than what was approved.
JT325 Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 Anyone take a guess on the price of a ride on the coaster and drop? I'm sure they could fetch at least $20 a pop... I'd think. Big and interesting project! Can't wait to ride them.
bgtlover Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Time to bring this back to life... sort of. Trademark for "Skyfall" submitted 12/31/2019. https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=88742995&caseType=SERIAL_NO&searchType=statusSearch
A.J. Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 If I'm not mistaken, that's the new drop tower going alongside the Orlando StarFlyer, right? EDIT: No it isn't. Then I wonder what the new drop tower will be called (it itself a Funtime "Skyfall" tower)?
bgtlover Posted January 8, 2020 Posted January 8, 2020 ^According to this article, that one will be called Orlando Gyro Drop Tower, but that could just be a placeholder name for now. I mean, it goes with Orlando Starflyer sitting nearby. https://www.internationaldriveorlando.com/articles/icon-park-unveils-two-record-breaking-attractions-coming-in-2020.html
