medoman Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Anybody mention the stengel dive on Goliath @ walibi Holland?
CPmillenia94 Posted October 3, 2013 Posted October 3, 2013 Here's another one Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit's non-inverting loop I was going to put this one in, but they also have another pretty cool element a little bit later in the ride (right after you go through the building). This is actually the same basic thing as Apollo's chariots turnaround. At uinverting loop is pretty unique in every way though.. Always awesome disorienting airtime on that..
JFrombaugh Posted August 12, 2015 Posted August 12, 2015 The "Lagoon Roll" on Cannibal. It was actually designed by Lagoon's In-House engineers, hence the name. Haven't been on it yet, but it looks awesome!
LuminousAphid Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 I don't think this has been posted here... I just realized that the first loop on Olympia Looping might be unique as far as Schwarzkopf coasters are concerned- most of their loops are their standard boxy-support type but this one just has round steel pipe supports with standard-looking track, and that twist along the exit. Are there any other Schwarzkopf loops which are "nonstandard"?
DoinItForTheFame Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 ^To go along with that, the Arrow Pipeline coaster W.T.F.?!

LuminousAphid Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 I just had a thought; has anyone ever made an "outside corkscrew"? Think a corkscrew shape but instead of spinning around the inside, the train is riding along the outside of the shape? I just realized that's stupid; I don't think people can handle those kind of sustained negative G's without passing out
gerstlaueringvar Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 ^Its possible on flyers and 4D/ZacSpin though.
KingRCT3 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 Well, I kind of tried it on NoLimits, but yeah, it would be borderline intense. Though, not as much as you said: Mondial's Capriolos are very famous for their "hedghop" move, which is basically locking down the gondola upward while the main arm is at the apex, and then making the arm do a full loop, and that pulls an impressive -3.5g. I survived that (and liked it) and so thousand of riders each year, so I'd say it isn't unsafe. (more infos)
Pirate Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 ^ That's probably got to be somewhere in China. As a painful knockoff, of course.

LeoBruz199 Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 The Katapult loop is an interesting element as well They REALLY need to bring one of these back. From my viewpoint they look absolutley kickass and it's a cryin' shame that they're probably rusting in some warehouse in Europe. Just watch, for all we know, Dorney will open one Sorry for throwing back an old post, but there is still one operating in Oman. Remember the Pinfari Zyklon in Marah land? Well, they bought Mirabilandia's old Katapult and put it there. I've actually been on it. It's a lot of fun and I enjoyed it, but the restraints are just awful. Some worn-out lapbar mixed with crappy OTSRs? Nope.
