Hey everyone! We need your HELP!

We are looking for what you think the most EXTREME rides in the world are! And we don't mean like roller coasters in theme parks, we mean really OMFG EXTREME rides like SCAD Towers, Bungee jumps off towers or bridges, etc. Specifically look at locations like Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand.

If you have seen something that just makes you go WTF, OMG, please post and let us know!

Totally bizarre theme park rides are "ok", but please don't post something like "X2 at SFMM", because that's not really what we were looking for. Really unique, one-off, bizarre, and totally extreme!

Thanks for your help!

'Gold Mine' Jump in the Czech Republic. Aka 'Jumping into Hell'.

These mentaloids used 3,280 feet (1,000 meters) of rope to build a jumping contraption that would allow them to free fall just to stop a few feet above the bottom of this black pit. The jumps—they did 36 in total—were 255-foot long (78 meter) and lasted only four seconds. The effect of the released adrenaline probably lasted a week.

They spent four days underground to explore and prepare for their leap of faith into the darkness, using ten hours to build the jump machine.

I'd have second thoughts about doing this.

That crazy bungee jump ride at South Padre Island, Texas.

I tried looking for a video on youtube but couldn't find one worthy of being on TPR...

I encourage people to look up the ride if they haven't though, it looks nuts!

^ Is that something that is open for anyone to sign up to do?

I doubt it. Apologies if I missed the brief. Possibly mention in your original post that you're looking for rides that we can actually sign up for, so silly numptys like myself don't grab the wrong end of the stick.

Still, amazing, and a pity it's not open for the public.

Another one I'll add to the mix, for a total OMG WTF WERE THEY THINKING type ride is this contraption:

The Human Trebuchet. As you can see in this video (she broke her pelvis!) - this was a crazy ass idea and unfortunately someone lose their life a few years ago. Link - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/2542973.stm - The local news has reported that people want to bring back this but with a larger net. So this could make a return. Are they crazy?

Oh, and check this out. It's called a Shweeb, from New Zealand: http://www.shweeb.co.nz/

The Worlds First Human Powered Monorail Track!

WTF. I WANT A GO. They look like they get some decent speed. It's like a mini-monorail on roids - that you control yourself, oh, and it DUELS....

Sorry to disappoint you Robb, but there's nothing here in Brazil.

There are no bungee jumps here. There are a few rafting rivers, some zip lines, but nothing "OMFG I'm gonna die" kind of stuff.

^ What do you think the most extreme zip line or rafting adventure would be? Can you think of any "one-off" unique park experiences? Insane water rides or anything like that? I think we have quite enough on NZ, but nothing yet on Brazil.

I305 is currently one of the most intense coasters in the world, but when it comes to the most extreme, without a shadow of a doubt, Crystal Beach Cyclone, that ride broke all the rules.

I don't know how unique this is but there's a bungee place in Cairns that lets you ride a BMX bike off the roof of their bungee platform. (http://cairns.ajhackett.com/products/index.html)

As far as other extreme rides go - Australia has its fair share of skydiving/zorbing/whitewater etc but NZ is definitely the home of this stuff.

Occasionally the trams in Melbourne go around the corners a bit fast but that's probably a different kind of extreme.

This isn't in Brazil, Australia, or New Zealand. But right here in the good ol' U.S.of A!

Bridge Day- Fayetteville, West Virginia.

"Bridge Day is the only day of the year people are allowed to BASE jump off the bridge into the New River Gorge 876 feet (267 meters) below"

We do have Kilimanjaro, world's tallest water slide (it stands 50m high) at Aldeia das Aguas Resort, Rio de Janeiro

There's also a pretty cool zipline at Unipraias (Balneario Camboriu, Santa Catarina). It's not very high (240m) but the view is amazing.

You can fly over the beaches here in Rio de Janeiro in an ultralight plane (the one the looks like a bike with wings).

In Vespasiano Correa, Rio Grande do Sul, you can do a 136m high rapel at an abandoned bridge called V13

The Go Fast Games at the Royal Gorge Bridge occasionally allows the public to do a bungee jump off the bridge. They haven't done it for a bit, but they have done it before.

Oh, and the bridge is over 1000 feet high.
