So we know there are some messed up coasters. This post is dedicated to those in China and Japan (even knockoffs). Among the latest non-knockoffs is a Zamperla Motocoaster with a lift hill.

Here is a loop-screw with a double loop from our "friends" making that horrid-looking knockoff SLC and 11-inversion coaster (Hebei Zhongye Metallurgical Equipment Manufacturing Co.,Ltd, or 河北中冶冶金设备制造有限公司 in Chinese)-

This park also has a peculiar Zamperla junior Twister Coaster and what appears to be a Roller Skater knockoff.

What is the most screwed up/unusual/knocked off coaster you have ever encountered?

Can we put Manhattan Express (Roller Coaster) here as well? It looks nice, but it likes to play rough.

 

Also, pretty much any Japanese Jet Coaster since they look to be built and designed in RCT3.

I thought that the Conny-Land Cobra was built with the inverted spike so that a support structure didn't have to extend far behind the half loop, but I'm not sure.

PAX must have been partyin' hard before building those coasters.

Also shouldn't Drachen Fire (god rest it's soul) be included? It was an Arrow, but it wasn't very Arrow like at all.

 

Also, Hydra looks pretty unconventional. A twist before the lift hill, an oddly shaped tilted Immelmann, a zero g roll, a corkscrew THEN a cobra roll. And Ninja at SFOG also seems a little unorthodox to me. I had no idea that the first inversions were called a "butterfly" I just called them "two weird loops"

Am I the only one who thinks that the inverted spike on the Conny-land Cobra is a brilliant idea? A totally different sensation from any other coaster I know of on the planet.

 

Also, since the lift hill is at an angle that's more than vertical, would that count as technically the steepest lift hill in the world?

It's a fantastic ride, but I think Maverick at CP is definitely a "screwed-up" ride.

When I came across the Magic Steed one day, I thought, "That has to have the smallest-ever vertical loop." I mean, the ride itself is only 39.3' tall! I didn't even remember it was a Pax creation, but that makes perfect sense.

 

However, the dreaded Pinfari ZL-42 coasters are only 36.1', with a 31.8' tall loop, so they may be the winners here.

Am I the only one who thinks the Zamperla motocoaster with a lift hill in the first page looks awesome? Cant believe i never saw that on RCDB seeing as i check that site for new additions more regularly than I am proud of.

I thought it was pretty cool. Before RCT3 stopped working on my laptop, I'd recreate it many times and place it in many of my parks. Then, it stopped working. I thought it was an ingenious idea, just would be nicer if it were developed by a better manufacturer like Intamin.

I'd have to put anything by Golden Horse into the screwed up coaster category. They are just not quite right, which I learned after an unfortunate trip on a few of their creations.

^Wow, I don't think I've ever seen a good pic of it in action like that. Definitely looks nerve-wracking! I've heard it actually is a good ride, despite being a Vekoma.
